  1. I joinded a squad on a milsim game. We saw two enemy squads and they saw us too. They took cover in bushes and ditches. Then the sqad leader ordered us to do a frontal attack. This was our "cover". I couldn't believe it so I took a photo while staying behind. Another disappointment is skirmishing in the UK. It's just paintballing with airsoft guns.
  2. Blue streak is my closest site and I saw the press-ups a few times. It is never meant and taken in a bad way or humiliation.
  3. Here is all there is to know about airsoft sniping: http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/
  4. As long as we make him buy a G&G combat machine.
  5. I haven't been on a two day game that would actually be two full game days. The first day is okay, the night is so-so, but the next day is absolutely crap. People are tired and many of them have just gone home.
  6. Sniper thing and depends on the BB too. I washed my Madbull 0.40s but didn't make a noticeable difference.
  7. "His" sniper upgrade kit is from EDGI but more expensive too than ordering directly.
  8. I didn't say every HPA user is like that. But there are HPA and gas users who do that. If you can change how much air is used for a shot then you can basically adjust the joule creep. Gas users have joule creep too but because they get about 30 BB in a magazine, it's not that annoying.
  9. One other reason we feel they hit harder because they do hit harder. We are chronoing with 0.20 but with heavy BBs HPA can do ridiculous joule creep and HPA users use 0.28+. Same with gas guns. If you would chrono with 0.28 you would still get around 349 fps and that's about 410 with 0.20. Yes, a 40 rps short burst of 410 fps does hurt more. Yes, there are sane HPA/gas users too, but until the sites chrono for energy with the BB used there will be players who see the current chrono rules as opportunity to f*ck the system. Personally I don't care about them on the field. As soon as I hear someone using a sewing machine, I just avoid frontal assault. Not that I do that anyway. But I see that as unfair advantage against the newer players, especially rentals. It is a bad message to them.
  10. Hi Raggedy_man, I play too occasionally to be a proper team member anywhere but if you drop me a PM when you have a game date then I would gladly join you sometimes. Usually I go alone or with a mate but he just became a father so I don't think he will be very active. I was looking at Finmere airsoft, maybe I'll check that out too. Cheers
  11. I would not even pay for props that just sit there to look at. Or some vehicles to see pass by, maybe ride once.
  12. http://www.ukairsoftzone.co.uk/ is a friendly bunch and have great beginner's guides. However not very active.
  13. Welcome. Nope, sniper rifles are not good for beginners. It's nothing like in games. You will be massively lit up by aeg users and you will feel miserable. Rent an AEG, try the game with that first. Bring your rifle with you and play one round with that to see what I'm talking about.
  14. Yes, it's okay to empty them manually with the switch thing.
  15. No sidearm needed. You will have enough trouble learning your aeg. While sidearms look great, most airsofters only use it to fill it at the start of the day and empty the mags posing ubercool and at the end of the day. You need to learn the strengths and weaknesses of your main weapon and yourself. This takes one or two years at least. Then you will be able to effectively use the sidearm in a situation where the main weapon is weaker.
  16. For skirmishes, they aren't useful. But for longer games they are great to keep the map and a pen in it. Easy to access even in gloves. New midcaps need time to reach their full capacity. Don't force it, just use it.
  17. Try http://tinypic.com/
  18. Yeah, we need the blood. Err. I mean new blood. Come alone.
  19. I have ordered from them twice. First was fine, the second time I ordered an UBAC and they sent a gigantic one. Then they tried to convince me that it was my fault (it wasn't) and it took quite a few emails to send me the correct one. I "just" had to pay for one extra postage even though they wrote the sizes wrong. But the quality of their stuff is great.
  20. Cyma Mp5 is fine too. Heavy as a brick though.
  21. Red dot. If you play night or dark cqb, then a torch.
  22. You go to any field and dress like that, the owner will ask you to take that off quickly or will just send you home because his paying customers will be offended and won't come and pay next time.
  23. Changing the motor does nothing to the fps. There are quick spring chage weapons. With the split gearbox ICS you can easily change the upper gearbox or there are some weapons that allow it: some AKs, G36s, G3s, etc. The normal M4 usually doesn't because you still have to completely remove the gearbox to access the quick spring change feature. There is one where you can change it through the buffer tube but that needs a special GB and body.
