  1. That would give you a very hard bolt pull. Those rings are nylon and thin so there is minimal friction. Or at least I believe they are nylon.
  2. The cyma 02b is a really good gearbox. Only replace it if something is broken. Do a good cleaning, do a re-shim, switch to deans connector. Also, use 7.4V lipos. Also use heavy and good quality BBs. If you do just these or you buy the bestest upgrade parts, there won't be noticeable difference.
  3. In normal 6.08 barrels the BB stabilizes after let's say 25cm. The hopup gives it a push and it bounces a few times before stabilizing in the barrel and sitting onto an air cushion. You can see the marks it leaves if you use BBs that leave a mark. Tighter bores stabilize the BB somewhat earlier. So it depends on this bouncing but after that 25cm length doesn't matter. But. Barrel length does matter in regards of the useful size of the cylinder. The cylinder size, barrel length and BB weight has to be matched. Switching to a long barrel and leaving everything else as is, will make the gun worse. The most accurate out of box gun I ever had was a Boyi G36c. That one has a barrel about 240mm. Also one of the least effective and most costly upgrade is precision barrel. To get accuracy: clean everything, use good and heavy BBs, use good hopup nub, use good hopup bucking, stabilize fps, and just after all these, get a precision barrel.
  4. I do. A small used compact from ebay methinks, or just my phone.
  5. Me thinks otherwise. The hardness of the nub matters a lot. Soft nubs allow way more range to adjust the hopup. In one of my bolt action rifles I have a hard nub and a maple leaf rubber and in colder weather it doesn't shoot at all. It goes from no hopup to jam. And that with a TDC mod. I have also experimented with H nubs in my AEGs a few times and never experienced any increase in anything, only this decrease of hopup adjustability because the nub being hard.
  6. I'm pretty sure that will be the same as all the other brands. Heavy BBs come from one or two chinese factories and everyone just rebrands them. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing though.
  7. Two broken AK12 and a broken Galaxy mp5k from bbguns4less. I'm a masochist.
  8. Hiking socks from Decathlon, and gel insoles. Those work the best for me.
  9. Yes, that's the only one that comes with a left hand bolt. I only bought used ones and those didn't come with it so make sure it's included in the package. However the MB06 is not a good base for a sniper rifle. Maybe you will be better off with buying a Bar-10 and convert it to a left hand bolt with DIY. http://2shots1kill.com/tm-vsr-10-left-hand-conversion-guide/
  10. Good job. However, I chose leaf suit. I had a ghillied hat that covered shoulders and back too but it always got caught in the bushes. The leaf suit is awesome though. Extremely light, I love it.
  11. I wouldn't go 6.01. Too sensitive to BB quality. 6.03 is what I prefer. Madbull is not bad, but PDI or EDGI or similar very high quaility barrels are better. Not that I can afford those.
  12. What's the current fps? How good is the airseal? What fps do you want?
  13. The first upgrade should be an Action Army hopup unit and the barrel that's needed for it.
  14. The FET died probably. If they are using normal FET and not logic one that operates on very low voltage, and your battery can't supply enough current so it drops voltage, that can easily burn the fet. If it dies, it short circuits it's contact.

The Ares' gearbox is quite different with the microswitch, the piston release lever, etc. I haven't tried it but I would assume too that it needs some dremeling at least. The Boyi G36 has the same gearbox though. Maybe you can find that somewhere.
  16. I run a sub 350 bolt action on games where the distances are a bit shorter, and an 500 fps one where there are big, open areas. The sub 350 is great fun but does need at least the same amount of tinkering as the 500fps one. The max effective range with a gun like that is about 65-70m and can use 0.30 or 0.32 max. If you have a vsr rubber, I suggest using nineball, if AEG rubber, then purple prometheus. Action Army hopup unit and a good barrel is also most welcome. The good news is that you can keep the trigger unit and piston.
  17. Cyma Mp5s are pretty good. AKs are better though.
  18. The spring that pulls back the trigger contact is broken / not in place.
  19. BB weight and quality affects the accuracy the most. Next is hopup rubber. Purple prometheus, blue Madbull are good. Then the nub: don't use hard one. Then the FPS consistency. Then the barrel.
  20. That is supposed to be a chestrig. Wear it much much higher IMO.
  21. It looks like it is a GBBR lower receiver with a properly, but "home" made AEG buffer tube adaptor. But that would mean some hacking around the grip too. Strange.
  22. But you can't get a license for the PMR frequencies. In the UK there is no legal way to use this radio on PMR frequencies AFAIK.
  23. Classic Army. Not good, but does the job. I hate dropleg things. My pistol's place is on the belt.
