  1. Sadly neither of those things would be true! Paid 6 months of food charges while deployed because our the UPO on board were a bunch of useless cunts. Was a nice bumper pay packet when I got back to Yeovilton and informed the writers there... amazingly it was in my pay the same month.
  2. if by that you mean "can I give my mum £100 and ask her to buy me a 2-tone" then yes, that's completely legal.
  3. warminster airsoft is your closest, or there's a couple of sites in bristol. you'll need a grown up with you though so sign waivers etc.
  4. won the sports lottery (no joke, first person I've ever heard of getting a penny back from them, £1800!)
  5. G&P optics are just chinese rebrands, buy the cheapest one you can find, it's likely to be the exact same thing.
  6. nice kit, nothing about it particularly says SEAL to me though.

  8. If you're just going to be using 7.4v LiPo then a MOSFET isn't required, your trigger contacts won't wear down any quicker than they would with an 8.4v NiMh. However, you'll see benefits in rate of fire and trigger response if you do fit one. The UMP is pretty tight for space so I'd recommend something small, the Gate PICO SSR is pretty tiny and will do the job nicely : http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gate-electronics-mosfet-switch-picossr-2 You'll need to take your gearbox to bits to fit it properly though, not sure if that's an issue but if it is there are plenty of people round your neck of the woods who will do it for a reasonable fee.
  9. sounds to me like it's sticking somewhere rather than badly assembled. I'd recommend opening it up and putting it back together, Richard Young from Eagle6 did a really good tutorial on the bolt catch assembly here:
  10. nope. If you're buying high end real steel stuff then the US is the way to go, but evike don't carry much in that sort of bracket. All the gear they sell that isn't from a real-steel brand is chinese/hong kong stuff, you'll be able to get it cheaper there.
  11. it'll protect your trigger contacts and 7.4v LiPo will give a little boost to ROF if you've been using 8.2v NiMh.
  12. does it make any noise at all? if it makes a clicking sound, like it's trying to turn over but can't, check your motor isn't wired in backwards! the red contact on the motor should be pointing towards the front of the gun.
  13. if you're just after something simple to bypass your trigger contacts then the hamsterfet is a solid choice, pretty straightforward to install and very low profile.
  14. I quite often will shoot directly at cover people are behind with the intention of keeping their heads down. The sound of BBs hitting cover is a pretty guaranteed way to keep someone from peeking. I highly doubt that someone will have been fishing for hits with ricochets, they were more likely just trying to suppress you.
  15. MAG brand midcaps are really good, 190 bb capacity too!
  16. Double feeding is 99.99999% of the time a tappet plate or magazine issue, BBs are not going to be the cause of that.
  17. Completely legal to own... Unless you've been released from prison/given a suspended sentence where the conditions of your release license specifically state that you can't have an imitation firearm.
  18. Yeah I put 2000 BB bastards through my 416 a while back, they were ok but not really any better than green devils.
  19. TM brand BBs are extraordinarily expensive. Green devil bio BBs are the best quality I've used, though if I'm feeling cheap I just use blasters. They're decent enough quality and recoils aren't fussy with ammo. The hop up unit on a recoil is absolutely excellent and can lift very heavy BBs; for best performance I'd recommend .25 as a minimum, .28 or .30 if you can stomach the added cost.
  20. I don't think really you could allow people to shoot at them, RC aircraft are just too fragile to take BB hits and it'd be a bloody expensive 'one use' item. Perhaps have them just for filming rather than reconnaissance, especially since over airsoft distances the information you're passing on is normally obsolete by the time you've said it anyway!
  21. something like this is probably about as 'period accurate' as you're likely to get without buying an actual 1940s riflescope. http://www.dx.com/p/4x20-rifle-scope-6280 Failing that, a weaver pistol scope (real thing, honest!) on some low-rings would look pretty awesome.
  22. AFAIK helmet and plates are restricted items, if you've robbed them from stores yourself expect SIB to come knocking on your door sometime soon. If you haven't, be careful about who/where you sell them as they're stolen MOD property.
  23. I guarantee I'll be able to find it in HK if not in the UK.
