  1. magazine shouldn't need breaking in, it's a TM not some chinese clone wank! What BBs are you using?
  2. when it stops firing, does the trigger still pull properly? does anything at all happen when you pull the trigger and does the bolt catch 'pop out' like the magazine is empty?
  3. I expect the 'victim' was banned because he was gobbing off too. It's a short video that gives no context at all, he could be just as guilty as the guy who threw the punch.
  4. Brands that I personally trust and will buy without hesitation; Tokyo Marui Systema G&P G&G Real Sword Brands that are hit and miss depending on model but that I would still consider; WE VFC Pretty much anything else I'm not really interested in. There's plenty of guns from other manufacturers that can be perfectly serviceable but QC issues deter me.
  5. TM M4 recoil shock, 345fps on a .20, firefly bucking and flat nub. With .25s I can fairly reliably hit a dustbin lid at the 50m mark on the range at my local site. Beyond that I'm sure with a bit of arcing I could hit someone further away but I consider 50m to be the realistic top end of my effective range. Stock TM MP7A1, 330fps on propane with a .20, using .25s I can reliably hit the 60m dustbin lid 4 out of 5 shots. Thing's a frickin laserbeam.
  6. Smoke grenade pouch, anything designed to fit an M18 smoke.
  7. whatever works for you really, if you want to be a full-crye multicam ninja go for it. Cost is obviously a factor, especially if you're buying real licensed stuff, but for me the sting of a high price fades long before the bitter taste of low quality I've bought lots of replica gear in the past and replaced most of it with the real thing where possible (not buying a real Elcan Spectre... or a real Ops Core helmet!), it's all massive overkill for airsoft but it all keeps it's value much better than a reproduction.
  8. Nah, 249 is a squad weapon; one in near enough every section. GPMG is support, different strokes for different folks. Both are perfectly legit choices. Fuck carrying one around all day though! SA80 is bad enough, let alone one of those heavy bastards.
  9. Bloody hell mate, that's pretty bloody spot on. Attention to detail is what makes it, like the mockingbird on top of your lid and the crappy paintbrush wedged into the front of your osprey. My only (very minor) criticism is the lack of a zap patch; blood group, number, rank if you feel like it. You can pick them up proper cheap with whatever details you want on them from loads of online embroiderers.
  10. firefly soft bucking and a firefly namazu soft flat nub without the roll pin. Works like a dream, most consistent set up I've ever had.
  11. Nah, that's vision trading, nothing to do with king arms. almost everything on the site will show as in stock until you hand over your money, then you'll wait for weeks with nothing before contacting them at which point they'll tell you that it's not in stock and ask if you'd like store credit for the item. They've got a load of fronts for various manufacturers like G&P, King Arms etc.
  12. Jesus christ I give up. The law about what your friend did is that the shop which sold his parents the gun broke the law, chances are they're not an airsoft retailer and so the gun he's bought is a bag of shit. Do what you want, you're clearly not reading any of the advice that's being given.
  13. airsoft gun in doesn't shoot very far shocker. who knew?!
  14. could do, if it's releasing so little gas in the initial hit that the slide doesn't reset the hammer it'll just keep venting til it's empty.
  15. is it still doing it after the valve was cleaned? that normally happens as a result of 'light striking' when the valve isn't depressed enough to let enough gas out to cycle the pistol fully.
  16. Allen keys up to 6mm, torx wrenches up to t20, screwdriver set, armourer's wrench, electrical tape, superglue, unjamming/cleaning rod, barrel wipes, silicone grease and oil, spare old hop rubber and nub and most importantly.... a white towel (for putting things on if I have to disassemble a gun) Pretty much everything I need to entirely disassemble a gun and fix anything which isn't electrical/catastrophic.
  17. Empty the magazine of all gas, put a couple of drops of lightweight silicone oil into the knocker valve and then push it in and out a shitload of times til it feels smooth. If that doesn't work, you could try taking the valve out and giving it a good clean.
  18. Depends on the gun, the SCAR-L is perfectly servicable, as is the G39. All gas guns suffer from 'cooldown', it's simple physics. The more gas it takes to cycle the bolt the more cooling will occur inside the magazine, the smaller the magazine reservoir the more pronounced this effect becomes.
  19. Fugi, as an under 18 it is a CRIME for you to buy an airsoft gun, regardless of what colour it is. Someone who is over 18 will have to buy it for you, if you want it to be in realistic colours (e.g. not bright orange) the person buying the gun must be able to provide the seller with a defence against prosecution under the VCRA, for the purposes of importing the best way to do that is by being registered with UKARA. There are no under 18s on the UKARA database. If you want a realistic looking gun you'll need to get a responsible adult to go with you (and play!) to 3 skirmishes in NOT LESS than 2 months and NOT MORE than 12 months, they'll then be entitled to have their details put on the UKARA database. That person can then buy a RIF (realistic imitation firearm) and safely import it. YOU CANNOT BUY A GUN. DO NOT TRY, IT WILL BE DESTROYED BY CUSTOMS AND THEY DON'T DO REFUNDS.
  20. new toy! TRI AN/PRC152 radio, emerson dummy on the left, functional TRI on the right: Ordered it last week, shipped on the 17th, in my hands this morning. Airsoft Peak + DHL really did the business, only £13 customs too (no bloody parcelfarce handling fee!). EMS speedpost can chew me from now on, the extra $20-25 for UPS/DHL make all the difference.
  21. yeah, if they've got any sense they'll have used all the 'spare' gas to make it kick really f*cking hard. It's nice being able to get 3 mags worth of BBs from one fill of gas, but with a reservoir that big there's no excuse for it to not kick like a mule. Also, this + NPAS = GBB DMR orgasm.
  22. Aggression is key, take the fight to the enemy. Don't let them have the initiative and by default the initiative is yours.
  23. Hire a few times before you decide on anything. Ask to have a feel of other people's guns, most people are more than happy to let you have a look at their stuff as long as you ask nicely. Once you've had a chance to handle what each of the gun types feels like to hold make a decision based on which was most comfortable for you, some people love AKs and some people just can't get on with them, same for SA80, M4, G36 etc... As an under 18 you cannot become UKARA registered or buy a gun, two tone or RIF. Your parents or another adult will have to buy it for you, there's no flex on that.
  24. You can't get any gun under 18. Your parents will need to buy it for you.
  25. 50' is a reasonable distance to zero your sights to. As for whether or not a 2-3' grouping is good enough why don't you go and play a game to see how well your gun performs?
