I've used the the mp7 but own the mp9. I didn't like the feel of the 7 as much as the 9. Performance wise there are options for both with upgrades, with at least two companies making drop in hop/barrel combinations for the mp9. Fps wise you might need to check the mp9, I have a cqb bolt in mine but it is possible to mod the flute valve of the standard bolt if you prefer that, I'm sure negative airsoft did one.

Hueys do the s&s pull tabs and you'd just need to get some shock cord then.

I'd run it stock and see what it's like as is, then look to upgrade where performance possibly lacks. As far the parts you've listed already; I'd consider a zci over the promy, significantly cheaper not significantly less quality. I don't bother with maxx hop units, they can be very good but of late I haven't had much success with over zci rotary units. Spring for any need fps changes but do it after the rubber change, as there's no point in changing a spring if your air seal improves and you gain fps there. I've also had great success lately with adding perun mosfets and leaving stock motors in place, running precock with a short stroke gear so I'd play it by ear.

I've seen a fair few weapon retention clips of late, while looking for something else and failing with google-fu but this is awesome. I'm.sure it won't be long before I see a Bush wookie with holstered m4.

Have a look at the mosfet options which could work for your particular setup. Although most of the performance gains can be done with physical mods it often easier to install a mosfet. The links of gate and perun units to grab quick upgrade to the trigger feel. I've found the perun units to be very good and offer the performance without the price tag.

sorry for delay in replying here, work got in the way. A spring swap isnt really workable as a quick option as, as G&Gs idea of a quick change spring is to dismantle all but the gear box shell. it would be much quicker to pop the upper off and have a complete setup of hopup and inner barrel to drop in and then remove a section of outbarrel, in the same manner as fitting a tracer or such like, or like the TM Scar H has a outer barrel section which isnt required.

Would.it be worth a look at the ops minimo. There's been a few about second hand lately. It's a similar design and they are usually available via hueys (they have been good in the past for me) and the ops stuff isn't bad at all.

Im in the middle, few different rifs for different roles and sites, but leaning on function is what I like. I use warrior kit as its taken years of abuse but if its not something useful its not getting mount to a rif for style points.

The baofeng radios are cheap and work really well, although they aren't strictly speaking legal without a license due to output power, but you'll always find people using them.

I have to take the kids to a party event tomorrow, laser tag at national paintball games near Uttoxeter, but as its the best part of an hour away I I'm going to have to wait on site so I'd like to know if anybody has any experience with them, as I thought I might be able to take rif with and use a range, if they have one, to fettle a new build. I've had a look at the website and there bugger all help on there and no answer on the phone.

Last time I played anzio, back end of last year, chrono was there for players to go through just after site opened and they trust players to go through it, as they do regularly grab people going through to the safe zone post game and there was a roaming chrono too, for random testing. It was covered in the brief, regards to passing first thing in the morning then later failing in that you would be allowed to change or take the rif from play.

With more info its a little hard to make any suggestions, but as a quick suggestion when it comes to the mapleleaf rubbers the omega nub can be a little too hard for some setups but ak2m4 had some omega nubs that were a softer durometer giving more sensitivity to the hop adjustment

I run my tracer inside a suppressor unit. I've done it by using a thread extention which runs through into the suppressor with thread to spare for the tracer to mount to. As for the size I just found a can that was foam filled and had a diameter larger than the tracer and nipped some foam out to make space. I can get more pictures tomorrow if it helps.

The wide bore barrels would be where I'd have been looking. It started as a thought process similar in theory to swapping uppers. As some outer barrels are made of two shorter sections and then a complete hop and barrel swap would effectively be a cheap version of a second upper.

I use a 5.11 vtac 2 point on my 308 and its great. Really flexible setup and comfy. I got mine from tactical kit I think.

It is my 308 dmr. an idea floated through my head. I have two rails, which mount the same way and wondered if I use a split outer barrel to make the length adjustable whether I could use a second hop and barrel to drop the length of the inner to a point where it would be 350 under and I could forgo the dmr med on sites which are smaller, effectively becoming a semi locked assault rif.

If a 407mm 6.02 inner barrel runs at 400fps on a .2g bb what length would be required for sub 350fps on a .2g?
