  1. Visually the delta recon is the most similar but if you want an m4 opposed to 416, the mk18. The kwa has harder kick than the tm, and will have higher power out of the box, though it might still need a rubber change for our climate. The tm has the stop on empty function whe using the correct magazines.
  2. "Smile on your face...." that's right in the money as tonwhat counts. I'd so second the steering clear of vfc unless you want to git something and start again internally.
  3. Kwa used to have the last round stop function and recoil but they drooped the cutoff feature to free up the space to put the electronic triggers and mosfets into their gearbox design. The g&g has the stop function but it is only in the tr16 g2 models, which off the top of my head, are the 308 variants and the knights sr series. They don't have the recoil function though in those ranges. If recoil is a must have then I'd look at adding the stop function to the kwa, it's not the hardest thing to do but would require patience and opening up the gearbox; fitting a leviathan mosfet, setting it up, possibly an external control if you wanted that or having somebody do it for you. It would be something a few hundred quid to do.
  4. Of the rifs you listed in the opening post last round stop is only a feature of the tokoyo marui and the gbl. It can be added electronically to the other using a leviathan mosfet and external input system to the rif and setting it up. Doing this would require that gearbox is opened and doing so often voids any form of warranty, if you wanted one. I mention it as it seems you would like the same sort of setup I use which is very a gas system style but would like the ease of an aeg. I use a g&g tr16 308 as I moved back to aegs from gas rifs for a slightly easier setup, now I'm balancing life and get to play less often, but some of the g&g rifs that use the new type g2 gearbox have the stop on empty and now I have that on an aeg I wouldn't be looking to not have it at any point.
  5. Another vote for skyrc chargers, I've been using one for ages. I also use a idst charger which is even better but it requires an external dc supply.
  6. Putting a faster more responsive motor should be fine, unless something is out of whack in the gear box already.
  7. Thank you. Trying to tonfindnthe outerbarrel has been pain and I didn't want to order the wrong thing.
  8. Just to make sure I'm not going nuts and I'm about to order the correct part, the part circled in red.... TR16 SBR 308 MKII GJQ-A03-2 Yes or no?
  9. I love night games, they are the best. Over the years I've never had the funds to have a set of nvgs, they are lottery win prezzie, but a few tips I found and things I've tried I'll pop below. Move less and listen more. Your eyes only really work in one direction, ears work 360°. Trim your kit, make sure you've got thing clipped where possible over velcro, it's really noisy when everything is quiet. Red light filters, white light hampers you night eyes while red light effects it much much less and is less noticed by some nvg units. I use a filter on a leash so it can be knocked off if need. Have fun.
  10. I'm sure I got mine from airsoft world.
  11. I've manage to ruin a fair few lipos but not playing airsoft. Fpv quads have been the choice for lipo killing, crashes and flat-out abuse but inside the house they get treated with respect because I have seen the flames first hand; storage charged, main draw lead capped and put into ammo tin, with the seal removed so they don't turn into a pressure vessel if the worst should happen.
  12. First game back after a knee reconstruction and also my first game of 2021, felt good to be out and about again. An open day at anzio with first and only. Good day, nicely run; some slight longer breaks for the less fit, and from what I saw some solid marshaling (taking no bull and following up on the site rules and even ejecting where needed).
  13. I've had a look at the mtw and they would fit the bill, as most stop n empty have proprietary mags, but the only thing putting me off is that it's 5.56.
  14. The other thing you could look at is the pts epgc. I think the c is foe compact and it's a steeper angle than most m4 grips. I run one and it does feel more like my mp9 than other m4 grips, much more vertical.
  15. I'm hard on kit and have both plate carriers and chest rigs. I started out with the cheaper types and quickly found them lacking in comfort and structure. I got to try some warrior kit and from that point on I've favored quality kit for; its structure to carry weight, keep cool and take the abuse. As for style it's personal choice but see if a few folk will let you try bits of kit on, get a feel for what you might like.
  16. Evening all. I'm rowing with the idea if going hpa but having come from mostly gas powered rifs I want to retain the stop on empty feature common to gas rifs and found in some aeg. Is there a drop in system that can have this feature by either piggy backing on an aegs electric stop function of a control system that has it? I'm thinking along the lines of the mtw but with being held to 5.56 styles.
  17. I think it depends on the power output of the connection and the cable you use, not all usb ports are made equal. What you have the headset playing and how you set it up will also make a difference. I run mine wireless off the router and I've been able to squeeze in a coupe of hours of alyx on a lunch time and still have just over 50% left.
  18. Afternoon all, I'm.wondering if anyone else has thought of or does strap cases together when transporting rifs. I using 3 cases at the moment, only one has wheels and I'd like to be able to connect all three together so they can be moved as one or if its only a pair, use a shoulder strap. Luggage straps occurred but the cases are hard and slide along each other so something more akin to a guitar backpack strap but with the backpack it. Anybody got any idea as to what I'm on about?
  19. If you have had it working in the past and now there are issues I'd suggest they might have died. If however it's a bed item/first time use issue it might be a mono connection at the ptt and you've got a stereo connection in the headset. I had a similar issue recently and changing the onnetion type to a mono lead sorted it right out.
  20. Try etsy etc. For stuff like this.... https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1085053956/top-secret-ufo-now-declassified-files?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=top+secret+files&ref=sc_gallery-1-1&plkey=f0081eedbdb69bdf90f8df9a47e996f54e685382%3A1085053956 or just make it up.
  21. Rumor that hobbyking is shutting the uk warehouse seems to true and they have some heavy discounts on batteries and other stuff at the moment. Also WE Katana variants are all sub £100, not sure if they are UK stock though.
  22. Looking at the picture I'd suggest cutting a groove into it and using a flat screw driver. If that doesnt work then you have enough head left to try the larger torx bit wedged in it.
  23. Flat hop rubbers are fairly normal but usually they would be paired with an appropriate nub. It may be possible that during production one was bagged wrongly or there was a flaw in the molding.
  24. It's not armour works, I know them, these are tagged A.W.E. and I can only find them on airsoft world website. I'm starting to think that they are a rebrand/dealer own kind of thing.
