Yes, sorry! But you were super helpful even with vague detail! I’m looking to stick with the current outer, and won’t change the inner.

The 9.3 is out of stock in black, so I guess I’ll have to demonstrate patience!!

    Hi folks,

This is a project I started gathering bits for much earlier in the year, had the fitting and machining work. Have now used it twice at games and it's just not for me in terms of the ergonomics and general controls/manipulation. What I'd affectionately call 'doing a Dave', those that know... know (a degree of irony given he's the one that did the work). Certainly in no major rush to be rid of it, but it's a bit too much cash tied up for a wall hanger for me. I'll list everything in detail below, emphasis on detail.

    Base RIF:
E&L AKS74U Tactical MOD C Platinum (bought from new)

    Externals:
Genuine ZenitCo B-11U Handguard (machined to fit with no play or wobble)
    Genuine ZenitCo B-19N Upper Rail
    Genuine ZenitCo PK-6 Hand Stop
    Genuine ZenitCo B-18 Optic Rail
Genuine ZenitCo B-2 and B-2L Rail Segments (1 of each)
Genuine ZenitCo NPN-2 Rail Covers (2x desert, 2x black)
    Genuine ZenitCo A-2L Sling Mount
Genuine ZenitCo RP-1 Charging Handle Extension (machined to fit without play or wobble)
TWI DTK-2 Compensator (machined to fit with proper timing, some wear on the trades)
    5KU PBS-1 Mini Suppressor
Unkown Brand Repro US Palm Grip (machined to fit with no play or wobble)
Unknown Brand 'Tactical Selector' (likely Cyma but not certain)

    Internals:
ASG U-22000 Motor (motor cage modified to accept)
    Lonex Helical Bevel Set
    SHS 13:1 Gear Set
    PhosBro Bushings
    Stock E&L piston
    LPE Piston Head
    Lonex Cylinder Head
Airlab Sorbo Pad (modified to volume)
    Stock E&L nozzle
    Prometheus Cylinder
Guarder SP110 Spring (2.5 coils removed)
    E&L Spring Guide
    E&L Tappet Plate
    Gate Titan Mosfet
    Trigger Short Stroked
ZCI Hop Unit (hop arm r-hop modded)
Prometheus 6.03 245mm barrel (machined to accept r-hop)
    SixG Silicone R-Nub
    Promethus Purple Bucking

Stock parts which have been swapped out are all present bar the bevel gear which was donated to someone in need.

FPS wise it's 340 on a 0.2gs BB with a variation of +/- 3, ROF is sitting at 16RPS on a 7.4v LiPo. Currently set up to be running 0.28g BBs. Will come with the stock mag and 6 Cyma mags which have been modified to fit. I've probably put about 500 rounds through it, it is noted that the r-hop will take around 2000 rounds to fully settle.

Pictures below, note that the optic and sling aren't included in the sale.

More than aware I'm going to lose a significant amount based on what it cost to put together, the regular formula lands me around the £800 inlcuding fees and postage mark. If buyer wanted to collect they'd be welcome to some batteries. It's a niche build, with a high price tag and expect it won't go particularly quickly... but does that pricing seem reasonable? I'm aware I could shift it quicker should I, at the very least, removed the ZenitCo bits and sell it largely as stock E&L externally with jazzed up internals. But as noted a few times, really not in a mad rush to part with it... just know I want to part with it.

    TIA,
    Alex

Ta for the heads up, looks like I managed to successfully camera dodge for the duration I was there. Photos from my first game back following restrictions lifting went up today from the Dagger Woods lot though. Can always rely on photos, to remind you how old you're getting... I'll be sticking to the helmet from now on I reckon, keep those greys under wraps 😅.

Not sure I entirely/at all agree with the 'sniper' sentiment. Horses for courses I guess but while a well set up bolty can out range RIFs which have to abide low FPS/joule limits I don't tend to think you can make them much/any more accurate than them. Depends on playstyle I guess, but I much prefer not having to walk shit in and land my first 2 shots with a relative degree of certainty.

Fuck me! When you said double stacked riser I assumed you meant double rail riser, not full on double stacked mounts.

Well I went today, first decent skirmish out for me since Covid hit so it was a much needed game.

The place was easy to find in Gravesend town centre, parking literally around the back.
    (Thamesgate car park)
    Also train station directly opposite.

Safe zone was well laid out, lots of space for 90 odd I reckon, there was about 50 playing today.
    Pyro/BBs/Rental gear/snacks for sale.

3 floors to game on, ground floor really well laid out for cross angles and no choke points / stale areas.
2nd and 3rd floor lots of gear for cover, more technical skills and teamwork required to prevail.
Half decent actual loos - thanks Debenhams!!

Briefing, full chrono, game explanations are short and concise, no guff but everything covered, I go as far as to say the best I’ve seen yet in my 18 years of playing.
Also gameplay was well policed and the whole day had more of an adult feel to it from a sensibility POV.

Site limits are upto 350fps on 0.2, BBs 0.32 and below permitted.
    Semi only.

Dont get me wrong there was a couple of obligatory mouthers which were dealt with and LITERALLY a couple isolated hit issues as is par for the course.
Marshals did a great job, no grey areas, factual and fun.

The whole day seemed to flow well, 98% of the time hits were taken honourably, I think the slightly hotter FPS and BB weight helped as a decent welt gives an undeniable knee jerk reaction 😂
Players were also good making body hits when available, headshots only really when that was all you were sticking up.

Also testament to this was me running my GHK AK105U, I took my E&L AK105 as a backup thinking I’d need the firepower/ammo capacity but even being heavily active in all games and only carrying 4x 40rd mags and a Dynatex I only ran dry in one game.
So being able to rock that all day was great fun!
Think I pumped out 20 mags in all and only one stoppage 😎

Gun variety was a little lacking, sea of AR types obv, 1 other AK, an MP7, a Vector, a shorter, only one other GBBR - a Scar, no bullpups for sure!

The days game cost £35, their website is very good for booking.
They also do evenings which is cool.
The South East has been lacking in decent CQB and I’m pleased this has arrived, bit of a mini Mall and way closer than Reading for me at least!!

Oh yeh... not a single MWS out! Couldn’t believe it!

Plot twist, it was still racist/racism then. It wasn’t talked about openly because it was deemed too taboo to do so, courtesy of the oppression that came with it.

I’m confused why the examples keep leading back to comedy, or more importantly the works of professional comedians. It’s an entirely separate matter, if you’re watching a comedian the chances are you know what to expect. When I start reading a thread titled ‘Lack of enthusiasm. Again’ on a public forum racist (though no offence intended, of course 😒) ramblings is just in no way relevant.

It’s just twisting the context to fit your thoughts/beliefs, you’re just as entitled to think racist posts are ‘ok’ as I am to think they’re not but spare the back in my day bullshit to try and justify your archaic view point.

I didn’t particularly care to comment, but I genuinely can’t wrap my head around how anyone could type out the phrase ‘slitty eyed little yellow friend’ and not think it’s massively racist.

It’s not a matter of being offended it’s a matter of presenting a welcoming, inclusive community. Shit like that just ain’t it chief.

This thread gave me the kick I needed to get an SADF M83 chest rig. Probably one of the best purchases I have made!

Can take M4 or AK74 mags easily, side pockets fit my timed and impact BFGs and the skinny pen pocket takes the reloading tool. Throw a tin of primers in the tiny pocket and I am set!

Even with 6 (!) TM M4 gas mags and 2 BFGs it is comfortable with no hot-spots on the straps. My Viper Spiritus clone is ok with 3 mags in but add any more and after a while it starts to kill my shoulders. I will be keeping that for CQB and short games; for woodland / OPFOR / and long games the M83 will be the go-to 👍

I will be adding some Velcro OneWrap to the strap ends to tidy them up and might add an elastic section to the waist strap (along with cordura “concertina” cover) to allow for pie intake 😂🍔

I want a pistol that goes bang, not that sounds like a trapped fart popping out. Purely goes down as disappointing for me because I didn't think it'd bother me as much as it did, alas, disappointment is a very personal/subjective thing.

Don't tend to concern myself with others ads much, only thing that irks me is if there is something that takes my fancy put up and it has next to no information about it. When buying something second/third/fourth etc hand there will always be an element of risk irrelevant of how thorough the text in the listing is and how good to photos are.

If someone is looking at an ad that is obviously not particularly well fleshed out or seems dodgy and isn't thinking much the same as you are, and then they go ahead and buy it... well frankly that's their issue. The only folks this thread stands to serve are those who aren't aware it's for them ultimately... because neither buyer nor seller will care to look.
