  1. You mean the white bit? Eggsdee just leftover tape I'm not THAT desperate new cylinder head I guess. I was going to replace it anyway as it's aluminium and I utterly shanked it when unscrewing it the first time. I'll try to source a flat one (they all have a small chamfer anyway) from a reputable manufacturer like Maple Leaf or Laylax. In the meantime I will install the TDC, shorter barrel and dick around with various methods of internal suppression
  2. Crap picture, but it should give you the idea. I think that because of the tapered design the airbrake cannot physically plug the nozzle when it's supposed to, so the piston just slams with full force against the cylinder head. @alxndrhll Here it is cylinder head, stock piston, weighted SCW from left to right. sorry for the spam but it's bugging me.
  3. The original is a ring style just like the SCW, but with a concave head (I'll upload a picture tomorrow of both pistons, but I'll do it in my T-11 thread to keep this one free from unrelated messages). Also yep, by design they seem to be quieter (huge rubber pad impacting the cylinder head rather than bare metal/small o-ring).
  4. Clear, loud piston slap. It seems like the airbrake doesn't do its job, probably because the cylinder head is tapered. I'm gonna pop SCW a message and see what he/they say.
  5. I think you're right. I just installed the SCW piston and it's noticeably louder than the stock plastic one on my T-11 😕
  6. I am honestly confused. I thought airbrakes were meant to quieten the gun, not making it noticeably louder 😕 I'm starting to think I made a terrible mistake..
  7. So, all the parts arrived. Just need to pick some 2 part epoxy to glue the TDC base That piston is an absolute work of art though ❤️
  8. the Core version (C-05) was one of my choices for my other gun (tournament wanker gun)
  9. Then you may want to check this thread in which I go through the process of building a nice snappy (sort of) budget AEG
  10. This is why I'm buying an AS-03 next year, universal backup that doesn't require anything but BBs
  11. Wouldn't go with a flat hop (or R-Hop) either, since both will turn out much more expensive than a Maple Leaf rubber and tensioner for very similar results. A chrono is mandatory when working on guns, you don't want to take the walk of shame because you turned up with a crisp sounding and beautifully working gun that fires way too hot
  12. ML velocity ratings are useless. Plenty of people who buy 75/80° rubbers for their snipers because of these charts and end up replacing them with 50s and 60s. The softer the rubber, the less pressure required to achieve X amounts of backspin. Obviously it'll wear out faster, but we're talking hundreds of thousands of rounds (fuck me my old flat hopped prommy purple is 5 years old, has had tons of bbs and is still in great shape with barely any visible damage). With that being said, I run a mix of Maple Leaf 50s and 60s because 1J limit and it can get pretty cold on our field (usually in winter we hover around 0° c). Patch design is up to you, so far I've only tried MR-Hops but I also have a couple macarons and super macarons to try
  13. I think those retards at PostNL just lost my parcel.

    yay

  14. Idk if Iliad is a thing over there, but I recently switched to them, €10 a month gives me free calls, free sms and 100 GB of data
  15. Those drills are at least 30 years old, my dad bought 5 at the time, 4 are still perfect, one is for spare parts just a little bit of basic maintenance every now and then. I also have a battery powered drill but it's not as powerful so it doesn't get used much and yes, corded > battery all day.
  16. Yup, don't think I'll need it though, I already have some pretty powerful corded drills. But after all it's just €20, might buy it in the near future.
  17. It's my first dremel so https://www.dremeleurope.com/it/it/dremel®4000-686-ocs-p/ Sorry for pasta language but it's this one
  18. Heh the 3000 was on offer for €50 at the local store and I was tempted. But then found the 4000 4/56 kit for €100 posted and couldn't say no
  19. Might have just bought a dremel 4000... Need to skeletonize all the things!!
  20. Yes if the chrono test is made in Joules using game weight. If your site chronoes only on 0.2s (like we do here in Italy, we check Joules but on 0.2s and then wonder why all the HPA guys reach out to 75 metres ) then it can be cheated really easily.
  21. Nah, they only understand their own personal physic laws because they are right and you are wrong
  22. Two sided argument really. I could say throw money at it and make it good, on the other hand I know how frustrating it is to have your ONLY gun act up in the field and having to take the walk of shame when everyone else is having fun.. What I would suggest is to buy a new gun AND some really basic upgrades for your current cyma Namely a hop rubber that is capable of lifting 0.3s, €15/20 tops if you look at the good ones like Maple Leaf or Prometheus. So you get a new gat to play with and you get to keep one as spare/loaner, win win really
  23. I'm safe for now, nobody asks questions, they just think I'm some kind of wizard and they all stick to 0.2s because "there's more in the bag". The italian airsoft scene is quite ignorant, there are "personalities" out there who keep telling people that a 0.2g bb will have more range than a 0.3g because it's faster and therefore less influenced by external factors like wind and gravity, which makes me really happy as I get to keep my range advantage They have recently discovered R-Hops though, thanks to the scam that Psionic is, so they're very slowly catching up. Thankfully the "system" is super expensive at €130 for a shitty patch, an overpriced barrel and a useless tensioner, as of now there is only ONE person in the club that runs it (albeit on 0.2s lol). I say shitty because I've seen it, I've seen the tensioner and tested the performance against my €11 maple leaf rubbers. 10x the expense, 0x noticeable difference. The main issue in this shit country is sourcing good heavy BBs, I've stocked a few Specna Edge (BLS) bags of 0.28 and 0.30 gram bbs, next year I'll see if I can buy in bulk (say one/two cartons of 0.28s, a few bags of 0.3s and some 0.4s) from abroad.
  24. Yup that's the main argument against me when I'm plinking at them with my pistols or bolty (all loaded with 0.3s and Maple Leaf hop rubbers)
