    Quick Question: I have a JG MP5 with what is likely the JG Black Ferrite motor. I also have a spare TM EG1000 ferrite motor. Both are rated for the same TPA at 22. Will I see any increase in performance with the Eg1000? Or will it just be a bit quieter? I was going to use the armature of the EG1000 in a frankenmotor project. But if I get a decent performance increase using it in the MP5 then I will scrap that idea. Cheers!

    Only note is that they tend to release mags on 1911 types due to the button placement.

    Just began the laborious process of making the site reviews a bit clearer, adding contact details and changing from a Positive/Negative rating to Good/Average/Bad. On site shop ratings are being changed on some reviews as the average shop was smaller then I thought. Also need to make things a bit standardised as there is a marked difference between the early reviews to the last few months. :(

    I could warm up the glue no problem. Putting it back together without it looking like a sloppy mess and affecting the integrity of the mag is something else!

    I tried skirmishing it a couple of weeks ago but it chronoed too hot at 366 FPS. I may be lopping a coil or two off tonight if I have time and play it on Sunday. Problem with the VN mags I have is that they are hot glued together. I do have upgraded Maple springs to go in, but no way to install them without destroying the mag. I will need to look into different mags.

    Just picked up 9 GSG (CYMA) MP5 High Cap mags. 5 for me and 4 for my battlebuddy. Action Hobbies have them for £5 per mag. Hopefully they should fit the JG's no problems. Have also picked up an ICS MP5SD Silencer Adapter. It converts the weird twisted end silencer into a standard CW 14mm thread. Now I just need to find a CW Tracer unit (Would rather not have an adapter as I am already using one!)

    My issue is trying to sort out an effective rail system and sort out a tracer that will fit. I think I have found an adapter for a tracer unit, though it's clockwise. The Mp5SD is a nightmare of compatibility.

    I believe my motors have arrived as well, though I am not supposed to know and I wont be getting them til Christmas day. My SL8 desperately needs it! Its a DMR and physically set to single shot, so if and when it locks up I cannot use full auto to unlock it again. Hopefully this motor will sort that out

    Was at a skirmish today, showed my battlebuddy a JG MP5J for sale. He loved it and bought it. Then and there. So I bought its SD brother ? bbargain for £100. Pretty surprised how well it performs!

    @ak2m4 I have asked the mrs to buy me a Long and Short type SLD high torque for Christmas. Hopefully by the time she orders it there will be some left! Going to use the Long type for the neo can and put a TM EG1000 armature into it!

    Replaces any TM/JG compatible hop unit. Looking at the G33 standard hop unit its likely a big fat no!

    Picked up another AirsoftPRO G36 Hop unit. These units are pretty interesting in that it bolts onto the gearbox. Extra stable. Straightens up the barrel which is especially useful on a G36.

    Took apart my first gearbox yesterday. My battlebuddies CYMA G36 that I bought him came in at 380FPS. Took me three hours because of the sodding Anti Reversal latch and trigger spring. However it is back together with a new M90 spring and shooting at a cool 300FPS with 3-4 FPS deviancy. Not bad for a first try! Gave it a Spring guide and bucking upgrade whilst I was at it. 

     

    Dead proud I am, don't want to do it again.

      I have my P90 to completely gut. All new parts going in, Gears, bushings, shims, all new compression system, spring. Motor is a TM EG1000 but might even take the armature out and put it into a neodymium can.

      You’ll be fine mate. Take your time, plenty of research before you start, set aside enough time. Put it back together and be prepared to take it apart again multiple times before it’s right.

       

      It took me 13 months from starting till finishing my Custom M4.  But it’s well worth it.

    Just got the last few parts of the P90 build from Fire Support. Went the whole hog. Guarder Cylinder enhancement set for P90 Guarder Steel Bushing set for P90 Laylax FF P90 Custom magazine catch Ultimate Spring Guide for version 6 gearboxes. Also picked up a set of Maple super feed midcap springs for my KSG M4 mags.

    Finally got my p90. Its so tiny! Haven't tested it out yet but will next week. Gave the G36 to my mate and he loves it. Shooting hot at 380fps though. At least the air seal is good ;-). Going to be putting and M90 in it on Saturday night.

      Cheers for your help gents. I am looking at the Ak2M4 ones at the moment. If I end up buying a high torque motor for my Cyma build i'll get the sorbo from there as well :)

      Bear in mind that Sorbothane isn't very rugged so the AK2M4 ones will need facing with something. I think @Sitting Duck used to use a rubber washer, might be worth an ask.

    Second package got delivered... To a neighbour. PF website didn't even say it was out for delivery otherwise I would have stayed in!

    Worked out why I didn't receive the second package. It was sent to the Poole depot! Its in the East London depot now, but it's inexplicably not out for delivery today! It arrived to the depot earlier then the package that did arrive!
