  2. My MPiKM has a new friend. This nice used rifle arrived today. I fitted the East German handguards; the next step will be to open it up and upgrade the internals.

  7. Judging by the references in some of the product descriptions, 'BBguns4less' have bought the name. (or there is some very lazy copy paste from competitors websites...) Edited to say - both websites reference a business address in Takeley, so yes - same outfit.

  8. A couple of years ago, they had a survey with what products do you want us to do, and the m320 and BHP were on it. I'm sure i didn't dream this as well, but cant seem to find anything about it online.

  9. I took a punt on the JGAK74 as it’s on sale on the Socomtactical website and had another discount to reduce the price even further. Full metal, real wood furniture. Ive read mixed reviews about it but personally can’t fault it!

  10. I wonder if the 320’s have the realistic fire in holster or fire when dropped function ?

  12. Just wanted to share my experience flying from Spain (Malaga) to the UK with internal airsoft parts in my carry-on luggage, in case it helps anyone considering the same. This could probably help in some other EU countries as well. Background: I only considered doing this because I had pre-purchased parts from Finland and Italy to arrive at my address in Spain. Nearly everything was RetroArms parts at significant discounts — hard to come by and expensive to replace. The only non-RetroArms item was the LCT AK magwell spacers. I was trying to avoid shipping them separately or risking them in checked baggage due to time and coordination issues. Previous Experience: On a past trip, I had tried to take an airsoft pistol magazine in carry-on. In hindsight I couldn't believe I even tried this, I should have known better. It was flagged immediately and security said I’d have to either check it in the hold (too late) or have it confiscated. I chose the latter. Lesson learned: magazines are a definite no in hand luggage. This Time: I packed the following internal-only parts in my carry-on: 2 gearboxes 2 motor cages 2 spring guides 1 cylinder 1 cylinder head LCT AK magwell spacers Nothing was externally gun-shaped or capable of functioning on its own. All were purely internal upgrade components. I also brought: Paperwork detailing what the items were, receipts and why I had them. In both Spanish and English. My best attempt at staying calm and cooperative despite being rushed (I woke up an hour before the flight and was rushing like hell to get to the airport, don't do that!) What Happened: After going through the scanner, my bag was immediately pulled aside. Security flagged the contents as “weapon-like in nature.” I explained and handed over the documentation. A police officer was called. Thankfully, he knew what airsoft was and confirmed the parts were internal-only and not part of a replica. He still went to check with his superior, since it was a fairly large quantity. The superior gave the green light, but warned me not to do it again, emphasizing that other officers could have refused it entirely. I ended up having to sprint through the airport and barely made my flight. It was a close call as I had 7 minutes to run from Security, through Passport control and to the gate at the furthest end of B Terminal! Key Point: Even if what you’re carrying is legal, that does not mean you have the right to bring it in carry-on. Airport security and airline staff have full discretion to confiscate or deny boarding over any item they find suspicious, even if it’s not prohibited by law. Final Thoughts: I got through this time because I had paperwork, remained polite, and the police officer was informed. But it could have easily gone the other way. TL;DR: Only tried this because I had pre-bought RetroArms parts at a discount, shipped to Spain from Finland and Italy. Packed all internal parts: no replica externals, no magazines. Bag was pulled aside, police were called, and I was let through after a warning. Legal doesn’t mean allowed — security can refuse anything. Wouldn’t try it again — too stressful and risky. If you do intend to try this. Please make sure you heed the above!

  15. I'm also interested in this, but it may be that @Asomodai's plane ticket was of the "Economy Lite" variety that doesn't allow for checked hold luggage. (Tangent: I blame COVID for these types of fares seemingly now being so widespread.) In any case, thanks for sharing OP. Airport security is one of those great anxieties mysteries one thinks about a lot once one has been pulled aside and interrogated for the first time (not a fan of transiting Hong Kong now for this very reason), so putting your experience down on the record for others to ingest is very much appreciated.

Latest additions to my MP5's Nuprol E1 T1 red dot on a raiser for the MP5k. Won't use the red dot for CQB but I will be playing a woodland game on Sunday so it will come in handy. Short mock suppressor for the full size MP5. Really like the look of this one now, it was a scratched boneyard gun that wouldn't shoot straight when I got it a few weeks ago. It's been serviced, greased, straightened, painted and had the optic, fore grip and suppressor added and looks stunning now.

  19. A few years? I mean it depends how often you play and how much you shoot (plus gun care, mags, bb quality etc etc), and maybe you'll get lucky, but if you play fairly often then the odds aren't good I'm afraid. In fact if you've only just got the gun, I'd try and return it.

That CO2 is £3 a pop, it might be worth selling whats left of my dignity and go HPA, rather than just leave it sat like an expensive paper weight in the corner.

  21. Oh, great spot. Warehouse 3 rather than Warehouse 1, but I suspect that's a distinction without a difference, as "Wolf Prestige Automotive" is also on site. [EDIT] Hmm, maybe not, all the people involved seem unrelated. If Novelty Island Management Ltd (t/a BBGuns4Less) did just buy the name and whatever remaining stock they had for a few quid, that does make sense.

  22. you are correct the stereotypical symptom is higher energy on semi, with pme skipping teeth and resulting in the piston not being drawn back fully giving a lower energy in auto after the motor has spooled up. the other way around is a tad more mysterious, and especially that it can be cured with a different precock setting. the only thing i can think is that at your initial 2 steps of precocking, the tappet plate hasn't been fully released, meaning the order of operations is tappet plate releases then fire, with the snappy brushless able to wind the piston back and release before the tappet has had time to get fully into battery. with more precocking it's stopping after the tappet release meaning it's in battery and all the motor is doing is winding the piston back a little before it sends. but if that were the case, you'd expect the lower fps to also occurr in auto, as i doubt the motor from a standing start is going to be faster from tappet release to piston release than the same motor already wound up to full chat. it's worth noting that precock is just controlling the amount of overspin, and in terms of air volume a fully precocked piston has more time to fill itself with air than it will under full auto conditions, so you'd also expect it to give more energy than auto if the cylinder refill time was a factor.

  31. Yes, it was tough at 19 but I don't think I was an exceptional case in working for what I had apart from what my student loans paid for. I spent 6 months saving up in a part time job for an AEG instead of mooching off others like some parasite. At that age, most of us started low and worked ourselves up. Ryan just comes across as someone who's watched too much reality TV or seen Youtubers and thinks he can be fast tracked without having shown an exceptional skill or talent that warrants it.

  44. As others have posted, AEPs are generally a bit shit and not really worth it unless you just want filler for a holster, which at that point you might as well get a cheap springer. With many you'll have better range and accuracy throwing the pistol. Unless you're playing cqb or using a higher power gun with a MED then pistols aren't that useful and will spend 99% of the time in the holster. An extra mag or two for your primary would be more useful and not take up more space. If your situation is really that bad then stop looking at buying anything. Sure buying a new toy will give you that short term happiness from the dopamine hit, but it won't last and you'll be back where you started, just £60 worse off. Of core this comes with a massive dose of do as I say, not as I do.
    1 point
  45. Oh absolutely, and that's why i have many and always carry one in games, but the choice between spending £60 on a crap one and going without, i'd save the money.
    1 point
  46. They're not used much anyway unless you're carrying a DMR/sniper and have a minimum engagement distance. If you haven't needed one so far, you probably won't unless you change to DMR/sniper. Honestly you're better off saving the money. I take a pistol to every game and practically never use it.

    G3 Photo thread

Made another little mod to the G3: I would say my hands are about average to slightly larger... wear medium of large gloves depending on the make. But the G3 selector throw from Safe to Semi was seemingly designed for people with five inch fingers... or Germans!? ? I can just about snatch at the selector while I have the rifle shouldered, but only just - it's easier to slip it off into your arms which for some reason gives your hand a bit more reach. Anyway I drill and tapped the 'safe' detent, screwed in a 3mm grub screw, and then drilled a new detent slightly less than half way to the semi position. luckily the G3 offers you a lot of leeway before the safety actually comes off. Anyway, now anyone with normal sized hands can flip between safe and semi with about a 1 cm throw from the end of the selector without actually de-shouldering the rifle. Quite happy with how that turned out.

  48. Back to this point of this thread ? why buy an EXA brand new when you can buy one second hand (absolutely ragged) for retail. its a bargain though. It’s a great pistol…. That’s the justification for selling at re-fail rates.
