    Trouble with PayPal

@Ayman Small what Cannonfodder said is spot on, reason being is that paypal only allow you one dispute per transaction, so if the seller convinced you to cancel it, & then didn't deliver the goods, you're fooked.

  3. That's good news. I wouldn't consider it sorted though till you either have what you paid for or your money back. If you dont get either of them by monday I'd start the dispute and dont drop it till you get the outcome you want, no matter what the seller says

  6. Click below to open the boxes. Mostly from WGCShop, who luckily had exactly what I'd been looking for on the tan T-2 and 20rnd PMAGs. I've settled on 4x ACOGs as my standard for pretty much all gats I'll use outside, but presumably Trijicon deployed their lawyers recently or something along those lines, because almost all the good replicas were gone from AliEx. Luckily many of the Ali stores just have their own websites under the same names with almost identical selections and pricing, so the scope is direct from SpecPrecision and the markings are *chef's kiss* (including the embossing on the right side).

    THE TM MWS thread

As a lot of threads end up with one of us recommending the Tokyo Marui MWS, and i get PM's asking about it, i figured I'd start a thread to keep all of the information in one place. Here i plan on covering a general overview of the gun, as well as upgrade parts, general maintenance and tuning. If anyone else wants to share any information, guides or even gameplay with their MWS, here is the place to do it. With that being said, lets get on with it. I've had my 2 Tm m4 GBBR's for a little over a year now, and they've got through dozens of changes to get them where they are today. Out of the box they are beautifully finished and boast impressive performance. I bought my first one from Zeroone, who price matched it for me. At the time the gun set me back £430 and the magazines £35, but they have risen quite a bit in price in most places. The gun is incredibly well finished and sports a Cerakoted receiver. Before opening the box, i didn't get what the big deal was about Cerakote, but that all changed after using it over time. The finish is VERY resistant to the hard life I've shown it, and is far more scratch resistant than any paint or anodization on any other gun I've owned. The two I have still don't have a scratch on them. At the rear is a standard m4 stock, which does its job with little wobble, but isn't the nicest one I've ever seen. The railed handguard is very solid and nicely finished with all of the correct numbered markings on the rails. From there you have your usual front triangle iron sight which DOES NOT have a sling attachment at the base. The magazines hold 35 BB's and have a Cerakoted shell to keep them from scratching easily. They have very recently started coming with silent fill valves, but are mostly the normal kind that hiss when filling and spray liquid propane when full. Its worth noting that the valve sits at an angle to the baseplate. One modification i would highly recommend to do is the "green gas mod" which involves removing a long zinc tube from inside the magazine. This allows more gas into the magazine and upping your shots per gas fill dramatically, with some people reporting 150+ shots from a single gas charge. As a side note, i have started to just cut the zinc tube about 1 inch from the base instead of removing it entirely. A video showing how to do it: Chronograph Results: using blaster .20 BB's and green gas i got around 298 fps with a deviation of 2FPS. yes, you heard that right, " FPS. This thing is incredibly consistent! Important information: The inner barrel is 250mm on the 10.5 " CQBR and the 14.5" carbine, meaning on the 14.5" outer you can fit a much longer 370mm inner barrel. The Hop up adjustment dial is similar to Tm pistols and can be located inside the upper receiver by locking the bolt back and looking down the magwell. Due to the way the outer barrel is cut, it's not possible to fit an aftermarket rail onto the gun without one of two things. A barrel adapter ring (PTS, ORGA and a couple of others make them and usually cost £10) or A dytac outer barrel, which has a wider lip, as shown below. Dytac on the left First shots: I took it down to the 20m range at the First and only shop and loaded it up with .28 blaster devils. They had multiple targets there, but i focused on the little spinning targets at the back wall. The orange discs must have been no more than 1.5 inches in diameter and i was hitting it virtually every time with the iron sights. So far, very impressed with the accuracy. So much so, I treated it to a new dress! First internal upgrades: After speaking with Dave about the gun, he explained that the gun wouldnt hop really heavy weight BB's with the standard nub. because it was hollow and squished when applying hop pressure. To remedy this he machined me a great little nub out of brass. Isn't it beautiful!? This meant i could now lift much heavier BB's increasing my range and accuracy even further than the already impressive stock performance. Using this new nub and GEOFF .32 bb''s i was able to get the bb's out 60+M with a flat trajectory. They were making a 1.5-2ft grouping on the plastic bales as seen in the video below. I have SOOO much move to cover, including barrel reviews, customs mods and a DMR build, but its 5;30 am and i need to be up in an hour, so we'll continue this tomorrow

  9. Out in HK now, more models and sizes on the way. Adjustable hop, gorgeous wood grips. I have a 3.5" on the way. Site legal, beautiful shells (although you can use wingun 715s). Initial reports suggest it's much more consistent and accurate than the wingun models. We'll see. BBs held in rubber hollow point end. No trades. I suspect the wingun 715 speedloaders will work.

    MTBs

Slightly late to the party but if you're getting into MTB'ing again "Zinn and the art of mountain bike maintenance" is a fantastic source of info for overhauling and reconditioning bikes. Buying it has probably saved me a few 100's worth of maintenance done by shops.

  13. Yeh it's a shame about the lack of trades - but as I said in my review it's those damned licensing practices that are to blame. Umarex have the S&W license so it's unlikely to be resolved. Having seen the engraving quality that Octagon provided for this one I might plump for them over Redwolf for the 6s. I do need to speak to Tango Down though first & see if they can do it with the correct font/logo.

  14. Cheers dude. I found the hop unit wasn’t engaged with the gear box correctly and that lifted it up to 260 however after this weekend the gb is coming out and I’m gonna investigate it properly

  15. The S&T does use a V2 box with a very long nozzle and a proprietary hop unit . Mine had crazy low fps when I got it too , along with feeding issues . I did get it behaving eventually , but cant remember what bits I used . I do recall that there was bugger all compression in the piston and cylinder though , so I'd start there by doing a compression test .
    1 point
  16. Yeah 100%. Got it off Defcon and I can see inside it’s a v2 also. main difference to what I’ve worked with before is hop unit and nozzle length. Since posting this I’ve looked about and it could be compression parts related namely piston and cylinder head ?‍♂️ I think I’ve got a couple spare bits I could use but it’s getting it sorted before Saturday

  17. I’ve just done some upgrades on my VSR-10 and feel pretty chuffed with myself so thought I’d share. when I bought the rifle I added straight away, Action Army Hop up unit Maple leaf 60 degree Omega Nub Today I’ve added, Action Army trigger unit, piston, spring guide AirsoftPro M110 spring It was a bit more involved than I thought, getting the anti-tamper pin out of the cylinder was pretty intense. Really didn’t want to bugger it up and have to buy a new one. Drilled it out, with a mixture of pillar drill and Dremel. I’ve done some tests in the garden at 30m with .30 and it feels really nice, adjusted the hop up and zeroed the scope as best I can. Looking forward to the next game in a few weeks. I don’t have a Crono but think it could be around 1.8j, does that sound about right? I might look at a different spring but will see how I get on. Only downside is it’s lost that loverly quiet pop sound that the standard VSR has, at least my son’s one still has that sound!

I paid as little as £32 for the Earmor M32 Mod.4 from AliExpress. There's really no need to go about buying from de facto dropshipping UK outlets - when you can buy them for as little as £26 (without PTT wiring) with free shipping, and a pretty straightforward full refund policy by AliExpress for if anything is faulty with the item.

  20. ASG cursed and Vorsk have been good to me. I suspect (but have no evidence) that many of the brands of BBs out there that are made in Taiwan are simply rebadged BLS. If so, that's no bad thing.

  21. I got home from work last night to find these on the dining room table.... The previous owner gave up Airsoft years ago and was about to bin them all when a chance conversation about Airsoft led them to be dropped off at my house.... They're at least 15 years old and in need of some TLC but blimey. Day went from meh to WHOA!!!

  22. FECKIN SUBSTITUTIONS ?, its not feckin Iceland ffs, give people what they order, & if some bits ain't in stock, refund the difference, not fob them off with the crap you can't shift in your going out of business sale. Clearly they're attitude to customer service is still shit ?

You're going to love me or hate me, but let me introduce you to AliExpress. They do earmors at a fraction of the cost, and from what I can tell they're identical to the ones you'd buy locally. Now that you know AliExpress exists, have fun buying loads of cheap tat for airsoft that you don't really need. You're welcome.
