  1. Get ready for a week or two of silliness?

  2. Absolutely agree I’ve got a little bit of ocd with my kit, but enjoy the clean up a day or so after a skirmish. My mate on the other hand, just chucks his in the cupboard under the stairs afterwards and wonders how things end up fcukered for his next game day His best yet was snapping the receiver on his APS Cam 870 But I do steer clear of anything that has grime showing in the classifieds listings Even folks grotty bedrooms in the background deter me from looking at it any further. There was a GHK AK listed a while ago, at a sensible price I think from memory, it was photo’d next to his undercrackers and wank mop pile! C’MON MAAAN!! ?

  4. Well... shit. How many Vorsk and Raven Hi-Capas, Glocks and 1911s will we see flooding the classifieds and the other sites? ?

  5. I know this is an old thread, but it also pops up in Google if you're looking for information about this topic (as I was) so might be worth just adding my experience here: Ordered parts (mag and a replacement bolt) from WGC that shipped 27th and arrived in the UK a couple of days later. I got the form everyone else got, filled it out with just YES to RIF parts. Didn't fill out anything else other than the extra text bit where I wrote that these parts don't alter the appearance (not actually sure that matters in retrospect) nor are they an RIF, so no extra information is required. I also obviously filled out name, DOB, tracking number etc and 'signed' at the bottom. It entered customs and then was cleared (according to the tracking) the same day, then asked for import fees, then was delivered a few days later. It also had the bright orange AIRSOFT sticker on the box, so I don't think it was missed by customs or not looked at. Box was otherwise unopened. @PewPew4U obviously feel free to ignore this, but what happened after your AUG was seized? Were you able to get it back? Or was that just the end of it?

  6. I went through a phase of buying boneyard TM Glocks off this forum, refurbishing them and selling them. i gave up after I bought one glock held together with super glue, and one that smelt like it had been soaked in toilet water. ? the state people leave their kit in boggles my mind.

  7. it is functional, untested as yet. I appreciate at this price point they won’t be great but they do look good and maybe be useful to a degree. (Please excuse me as I’m talking with no prior experience of these) The torch is not very bright but may work well in certain situations. The laser also works but only tried in the house, what it’s like at distance I’m unsure of. I won’t be actually using it for a couple of weeks as this weekend I’m hoping to use my MP5SD6. Which has no rail, so just iron sights & tracers, just need to purchase some mags for it as only have one at the moment. If I can’t find some I’ll swap and I will use it with the M4.

  8. Seems to have finally learnt his lesson - not a bad price. However, and its a big HOWEVER. I wouldnt touch this with a barge pole - the hop ramp isnt even screwed in as you can see in the photos which is indicative of someone not knowing what the fuck they are doing when installing the new TNT hop unit. This isnt an uncommon issue, and one thats easily solved but unless you know what you are doing.......

  9. As the lad commented: "It does work surprisingly well in dead brush. There's been a couple of times you've been about 10m away and I haven't spotted you until you move."

  12. As BigStew implied, gas consumption is a big variable with GBBRs compared to battery consumption in AEGs. Ambient temperatures will also affect how much gas you'll use, not just the individual GBBR you use and how trigger-happy you are with it.

    GBBRs and optics

I tend to get aliexpress optics a lot in the sort of mid range and Ive not yet had one damaged by being run on a gbbr but that is obviously partly good luck in the qc lottery. The only optic ive had trouble with was an old cmore like this which lost zero a lot and the battery bounced out of place. All of the others I have used have far more solid mounting solutions. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41yhdJbGKvL.jpg It also depends a lot on the gun. Id feel fairly happy mounting nearly anything on my tokyo marui gbbrs as they have fairly soft impulses overall but Id go for something a bit more solid on my vfc's

    GBBRs and optics

I don't use mine often but got into the habit of checking any body screws etc as I clean after a game, they can work loose occasionally.

I've got a couple of replica 552s and replica T2 on some of my GBBR's . They all work fine and hold zero .

  19. You’ve mentioned why it would/could matter. If something was to change appearance in such a way that an IF became a RIF then it would be heading towards manufacturing a RIF’ (Which in itself isn’t a customs matter, but the action of doing so could be a VCRA matter) A bolt wouldn’t change appearance. A magazine probably wouldn’t - but many so called two tones aren’t even 50% bright, so arguably a black magazine could turn some IFs into RIFs However in the majority of cases the contents are not being looked at. The incoming package flags as something that may contain airsoft stuff, could be due to the originator business or the customs declaration - or a random pull ((((don’t apologise for adding to an existing thread - some forum users call it necroposting to add to an old thread - but this is the whole point of a forum and using a relevant thread keeps content together minimising repetition and maximises collation of knowledge & advice))))

    Gun picture thread

It's not that long or heavy, but no, it doesn't seem to be causing a drag on the slide. Haven't tested the feeding of it because I have nowhere to shoot, but I cycled it dry in my room and it didn't have any issues. The last threaded barrel I had very much did and it didn't cycle properly, so that's why I haven't done this yet. If this barrel also has issues, I'll just resign myself to not suppressing it as this barrel is a more pricey one that is meant to have tracer units on it. I don't like tiny short suppressors on pistols and would rather have no suppressor. It just looks odd to me, and I like things to look realistic (and suppressors aren't often tiny short things like people have on their mk23s)

  23. if there is 1 platform I know its GHK AKs.......the solution is easy - you just need to unscrew the barrel a half turn or so from the trunnion so its not pushing the hop unit back and then the feed ramp will fit and be able to be screwed down. But if you are an idiot who doesnt know what they are doing....Christ knows what else is wrong with it

  27. I've never had issues ordering from Brownells at least. There's nothing illegal about owning firearms parts, unless you're buying them to build a gun from scratch, but again, I've had no issues and I've bought a decent amount of stuff. Real-steel firearms aren't actually illegal in the UK, just heavily regulated. In terms of single action guns, we can legally own some pretty nutty things as long as you've got the paperwork to back it up, and that's the difficult bit

  28. To me Sir Ranulph Fiennes said it best. There's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing. I play all year round and I don't mind a bit of rain etc as the bad weather can add an extra element to games, eg reduced visibility or the rain covering noise. Just dress for the conditions. I understand though if others would rather stay home when the weather is bad Alternatively bad weather can be a good excuse to visit a cqb site if possible. Wht worry about the weather if you're indoors
