all sorted the lad has refunded. And no the gun was well packaged in a Glock gun box rather than cardboard box etc so was impossible to be damaged during transport4 points

Even if it wasn't damaged prior to shipping, the seller has a contract with whoever he shipped it with, it's his responsibility to initiate a claim with them. In turn, you need to start a dispute with PayPal to get your money back, or an agreed partial refund. So you may need to return it, but whatever happens never stop the dispute until it's completely resolved & the moneys in your bank.4 points

Hi guys, just to let you know there's a new moody scam attempt going on, appearing to target sellers & purporting to be from the forum itself, telling sellers their item has sold & to click on a link within the message to complete the sale. Seems to be originating from Russia, not sure what happens if the link is clicked, probably a trojan horse type virus to mine your info. Don't fall for it, obviously if you get one let us know so we can ban them immediately, here's a screenshot of the kind of text you'll receive:3 points

Name and shame with negative feedback. Everyone needs to know to avoid this seller. That was not done in transit (assuming original/secure box etc) so either the seller broke it before hand or OP did. Considering the seller conveniently doesn't have any photos to prove otherwise (who does that?), I think it's fair to assume...3 points

All massive red flags in my opinion. You've got a pretty strong case to get a refund via PayPal or a charge back from your bank so I'd get onto them asap. Even if it really was damaged in transit then the seller is still responsible for refunds and would need to claim on the insurance. If they didn't have any or sent it via a firm who don't ship rifs then that's their tough luck. This. Exposing scammers and problem sellers is the only way to get them to stop2 points -

So he mouthed off big time about how he was a good seller then sent a damaged rif to a buyer? Oh dear. He’s looking great now isn’t he? Glad he refunded.1 point -

Battery will need to go in the stock tube with whatever Magpul stock you decide on , unless you get creative and start modifying things . a standard MOE grip will not fit , due to the motor arrangement and fixing points , you’d be better off with an AEG specific PTS grip .1 point -

I have two thoughts: Firstly, if he’s sold you broken kit, what else isn’t right about it all. Having a few of those glocks, it’s not easy to break the frame like that. So what else is broken? Second, if it was a genuine mistake, why wouldn’t he want to make it right? It’s quite easy to narrow down which advert you bought - given what was paid for the pistol, surely a few quid to keep everyone happy wouldn’t be a big deal? A new guarder frame for a gen3/4 is £40 at most. So I’d assume a £40 refund would have kept everyone happy? If you’ve paid via PayPal G&S - I’d take it to PayPal. Make sure you collect screenshots of the conversations to provide to PayPal as evidence you’ve tried to resolve this like adults. Take plenty of clear photos of the condition of the pistol as well. Everyone makes mistakes - I’ve sold a couple of pistols that I absolutely know where immaculate but “don't work” on arrival. Even had photos and videos to prove it. However, you could sit around and blame the seller or the buyer, but it doesn’t fix the problem. In those cases typically the seller would either offer a partial refund to the value of repairing the damage. Or a full refund for a return of the goods. Ultimately it’s a reputation thing. Personally I don’t want to be slated for being a conman or a scammer, so I’d do what I could to keep the buyer happy. The fact he has no photos and he’s taken down the advert raises red flags to me. I mark adverts as complete/sold and I still have photos of sales from 8 weeks ago. If he can’t prove it was immaculate before sending it to you, I’d imagine you have a strong case with PayPal.1 point -

I suppose 'doesn't cover airsoft' only valid when your glass is broken by a bb? Otherwise I don't think there is any way they will know if your scope is on an airsoft or a range firearm?1 point

If the MoD are reading here goes Improve pay, make sure buildings on bases are suitable and fit for human habitation and stop putting soldiers in court for doing their jobs. Can I have my £120,000 now as these would improve recruitment and retention levels far better than letting joe public fondle a couple of toy guns1 point -

I almost always use guns with MEDs, be it bolt actions or DMRs. Therefore I have a lot of really nicely upgraded pistols, because I use them a lot. I also like having a light and a suppressor on them, light for function, suppressor for tacticool-ness. It has taken me this long to finally buy a good holster, but god damn do I like it and I should've done this a long time ago. It's a Deadly Customs DC5 universal light bearing and tracer holster with an m81 woodland cordura wrap, plus both a mid-ride mount and a molle mount with quick locking systems. All in, it was about £125, but worth every penny. I run real-steel Surefire x300s on my pistols and the retention is a lot better than on the Nuprol NX300 that lives on my HK45 (that I don't really use much); HK45 with the Nuprol light fell out when I turned it upside down and gave it a shake, but when I put the Surefire on it, it stayed locked in. Holster fits all of my pistols that I tend to use and none of them are falling out with the real Surefire x300 on them, apart from the mk23 which is just too large. 1911 is quite tight as well because the slide is high, but it does fit. So that's the Hi-Capa 5.1, AAP, 1911 and p226 that all fit, as well as the HK45. All with suppressors on as well, and the AAP also has an RMR. Glad I picked up an extra quick locking system and a molle mount, because it means I can just swap it over to a different kit, or mount it on a chest rig so I can use a GBB pistol on a chest rig as a cross-draw, and the mk23 on my DTD holster on my hip if I want both stealth and a bit of firepower. Such a good investment.1 point

Got a tm desert eagle and wanted to mount a red dot more modern than the traditional options. Made this little scope base to fit my knockoff aimpoint acro and cut the top off a cheap ammomax holster to fit it. Thinking of making a variant to fit aimpoint micro style sights and rmrs. Any other sorts people would like to see?1 point -
Looking for thoughts from people.. Purchased Glock 17 gen 5 from forum. It’s arrived and it’s damaged (see pictures)seller is saying it wasn’t damaged prior to sending so refusing to refund. cant check the original add as its been taken down and owner said he doesn’t have the pictures he took for the advert. anyway this can be reviewed by an admin as there will be a lot of all posts with pictures etc. should seller refund or is this now my risk as he’s saying I could of dropped it? kept sellers name out for now as only fair. he did say I could return it but now saying he won’t.
