So managed to obtain an old CAW HK69. Was all painted and original sights were floppy. So added real front and rear sight. Removed to paint and weathered the metal.

Continuing the £20 masada story, stripped the God awful black paint from it (and some of the original) 🙄 Sorted the non existent safety, changed the 10yr old hop rubber, adjusted the motor and general tidying After stripping the paint there were a few stains left over but I feel it gives it a used look which is fine. Acquired some mags from @Colin Allen and it feeds and fires at 310fps on a .25

New trigger bars for my USPs. Now i need to reverse engineer them to make some stronger ones from billet ally or steel.

Unlikely you'll get too many realistic moving parts on springer, especially if it's half decent for target shooting, as those bits aren't really needed. @heroshark prob has the best spring pistol collection, I'm sure he'll enlighten us as to what's worth having, & @BenJackson will be able to track it down for you.

There are some really nice models. Umarex px4 is a nice piece for features but there are probably a few similar examples. I’m aware that it’s not the buyer who is an offender upon buying a RIF, contrary to what the silly thousands of “bbguns4dirtcheap2armyoueinfantson” websites might say in their legal disclaimers about getting your “UKARA License”. If need be, the best way of getting a RIF is to buy one on site at an airsoft game, either from the venue itself or a player there as they have solid grounds always to sell you one, as you’re proving legitimate interest for valid use simply by being there. Of course not! By playing 3 airsoft games, You’ve already broken the safety disclaimer that comes tucked in the box of every gun saying “Don’t shoot at human or animal”, potentially risking “causing injury or death”! A 2 month long premeditated possession of an imitation firearm with intent on causing fear would be sure to impress the jury with that level of dedication, enough to slap you with a good portion of your young adult life in jail at least

It's easy, all you need is the Action Army type 96 hop chamber, which means you'll need a ZCI, XT or Crazy Jet AEG barrel and Macaron or MR bucking, unless you decide to stick with a GBB barrel in which case you need the Maple Leaf Hotshot bucking, then of course you'll need to do a TDC mod, add barrel spacers, upgrade the spring, which means you'll need to upgrade to an alloy piston and spring guide, which means you'll need a 90 degree trigger unit then you'll realise that you've spent more than the cost of a Silverback TAC-41 Sport to get worse performance and longevity. There are some actual suggestions in there among the "don't do it" conclusion, if you want to start with the cheap stuff like DIY barrel spacers made out of masking or electrical tape, and a bucking like an Maple Leaf Autobot if you're sticking with the stock GBB style barrel and hop chamber. You can also do a DIY TDC hop for the price of a grub screw. However, once you start spending, the costs can ramp up quickly, and it's a labour of love. I sunk a load of time into my MB-03 before giving up chasing one sub-optimal or failing part after another, and just going Silverback.

Call me a cynic but I don't think trustworthiness is the issue. If you spend 8 weeks and 3 games to get a UKARA defence and be a dick in public with a RIF, you've given the police and CPS plenty of evidence of aforethought to the crime.

Ahoy and welcome. Sure, and I really with they wouldn't, but it's entirely on them. It's never been an offence to obtain or attempt to obtain a RIF. It's a fascinating ontological question: is the person that you might be in 8 weeks and 3 games more trustworthy to you than the person you are today? 🤔

Actually, I wonder if the '3s' comment was actually referring to an 11.1 battery - 11.1 three cell batteries are frequently (especially in RC car territory) referred to as being '3s'. What the guy was saying is that he has happily run on a 7.4 without a drama, but he had heard that 11.1 may risk the mosfet (which is true). There - i bet you all feel bad now for taking the p$ss!!

This MAS36 arrived today courtesy of Lofty, When I first saw it advertised I thought it was interesting but only because I'd never seen one before, when I saw it relisted in the classifieds I decided it would look good in my 'retro' collection (it does). after some negotiation with the seller a deal was made. I'd like to thank Lofty as I'm pretty sure he didn't want to part with it. I'm also pretty sure I'll never see another one so I'm glad i have it.
