Well, had a very wet day of mixed feelings at dogtag Airsoft in Crawley today. Day started off well good turn up of people for the morning game with the typical attack/defend rush game mode. they changed the defender teams respawn to a moving one instead of one life then fall back to next field. Honestly have mixed feelings about that but did feel to have more engagement so felt positive. Marshals were spot on as always,.don't think I've ever had issue with them aside from their timings. If a marshal says 10minutes assume they meant 20. Being a day of horrific weather most people left after lunch which was rather disappointing as they didn't know what game to run as numbers went from what felt like 80 ish down to 9. First afternoon game was a 4v5 death match on a field with too much open line of sight and not enough cover or concealment other than waist hight barricades which are useless if you're trying to move about to find people. After that game another 4 people left leaving just 5 of us trying to figure out what to do for the last hour of the day. We all chose to disable MED rules and the "no full auto" rule and headed to the CQB field and continued to play a every man for himself death match will marshals moving around the field for respawn. Honestly I'd say it resulted in one of the best games of the day. On a plus side it was my first time using my new G36 GBBR and it performed brilliant. Had to get used to ammo limitation and reloading mags between spawns but it made my experience all the better. The team at dogtag were apologetic about everyone leaving and I don't blame them for the crap afternoon game that occurred because I doubt they expected THAT many people to leave (pussies) and they did redeem themselves after seeing why/how that mode failed and made the following game worry it. Also it seemed there was a load of pyro left over so it became a drag fest pretty quickly.2 points -

Last weekend was my first opportunity to skirmish this year. Truth be told, I had lost an awful amount of desire to skirmish after bills kept rising, AEGs kept breaking and magazines kept leaking! I scrambled together some kit that I knew was working: TM M4A1 MWS, TM M9A1 and TM L96 (a recent purchase and my first spring sniper rifle) as well as my tried and trusted Ranger Green kit. Ace Combat has changed since I last played there, which was probably 2019. Ah, those pre- pandemic days... The car park, safe zone and check-in areas have all changed location and it is now a long slog to haul kit to the safezone (located between field 1 and field 2). This slog was made even more tedious when my bag's zip failed and sent a lot of the contents into the mud. I was very close, dear reader, to turning around and going home! I made it to the much improved safe zone and was glad to see the same Ace faces as were there years ago. The covered safezone now has ample room for everyone and there was a 3rd party shop selling the usual onsite-found range of entry to mid tier airsoft products at what looked like reasonable prices. My main issue with Ace has always been the standing around and waiting between the action and is was still a factor that hasn't been improved upon, sadly. Another aspect that affected the day was the loss of using the open part of field 1. This, plus the relocated safezone has cut by about 1/3 the available space to play in, on an already compact site when compared to Battle Lakes and Dog Tag. The games were suitably Halloween themed and ran well. I don't think I heard a single accusation of 'Teflon armour' during the whole day and the atmosphere was fun and pretty chilled. My MWS combined with a RS ACOG was almost like a cheat code. I ran .32s and probably scored the most 'kills' that day with it that I've ever done. The M9A1 also scored some hits and my lighter kit was as comfy as it has ever been. Rocking out an old school Adventure Tech Goretex jacket in night camo/DCU is something I've not done in airsoft for about 15 years! I didn't get to debut the L96 though, which was a shame. The new CQB area in the woods by field 1 is a nice addition and overall it was a good day that left me and my two buddies wanting more out of airsoft for the first time in a long time. It probably won't be at Ace again - for a while at least - as the usable site now is just so small compared to what it was. This is a real shame and for me represents a loss to the local airsoft scene. I hope that field 1 can be re-incorporated into usable space, but it didn't look promising. Thank you Ace for rekindling a dormant flame.2 points

Built by Dave at SixGunsmithing. A very unique and great shooting sidearm. Comes with: -x3 gas tight magazines -original parts and accessories etc (if that matters) Build list: -Cerakoted slide -Stippled and painted grip with finger grooves sanded off. -Genuine Magpul grip base -Tritium front sight -Cowcow metal rear U shaped sight -Edgi 6.02 barrel -flamingo 50 degree bucking Ive owned many tm pistols and this is by far the most solid and best feeling one I’ve had the pleasure of using. I’m not sure if it’s the extra coating from the cerakote but there’s very minimal wobble from the slide or barrel compared to any of my other pistols. Sadly my fat hands prefer a larger frame. Feel free to message me with questions. Price includes postage.£220

Never understand it, forecast was shit, almost to be expected this time of year, taking in fuel costs etc, people then pay their green fees on top of that, but then give up by lunchtime 😳. I've played in blizzards, torrential rain, you name it, but assuming you've got a reasonable level of kit, it should be a walk in the park, it's not like your gonna be out in it day & night for a few days. I blame all these sugar coated millenials 😜1 point -
Who runs UKARA?
Rogerborg reacted to Pseudotectonic for a topic
Out of curiosity I noticed the UKARA website does not mention who runs the UKARA database other than a GDPR policy and an ICO registration number. A simple search on the ICO website returns a nondescript address in Cornwall next to a notable government agency facility. I am also surprised by the fact that UKARA has no Wikipedia entry. It almost seems like they are deliberately trying to be secretive which makes my curiosity grow even more. Which begs the question, who even is UKARA?1 point -
Thanks for the review, the sites not too far from me but already I'm put off by the idea of a long slog from car park to safezone, that's kinda on me due to health stuff, but at the same time I have to question why this seems to be a "feature" at many sites, slogging through mud etc with ALL your kit isn't a great start or end of a day, & also rules out the option of working from a secure vehicle if your not entirely satisfied with the security of your very expensive kit left in the safezone area.1 point

Nominally it's Fire Support. And I think Zero One and Wolf Armouries have a hand in it as well.1 point -

Just got in from Gunman Cold War Filmsim. Utterly brilliant as usual with a lot of very close range vicious firefights and ambushes. Used the FAL as a 'Cuban' advisor to WARPAC forces and it shot lasers, really pleased.1 point -
No, its not limited to 350fps, that's just the ballpark figure it's hoping to achieve with its current collective of parts & its set up. Same goes for its range & accuracy, its down to parts & setup, as well as its ability with semi & full auto. All of this can be fixed relatively easily, & for not a stupid amount of money. Which to me sounds like a better option than attempting to "circumnavigate' (ie break) the law in relation to the vcra. Personally though I think you should feck right off, but that's only cos I'm obscenely old at almost 55 & clearly riddled with dementia etc😜1 point

I feel vaguely grubby 😕 I'm not going full hpa. I bloody love my GE M870 Shorty, a lot, but the gas capacity is too low for me to fully enjoy it. The conversion to HPA took less time than to open the packaging. So here we are. Am I a filthy speedsofter now?1 point -

UK Arms Fal news

Yeah unfortunately no developments on that front. Their Facebook page has them claiming no updates on the FN FAL. Might be a case that VFC pursue an AEG version or another manufacturer steps up. We have the MOA show in Taiwan in December so perhaps something will emerge? There's always hope....1 point -
