I'm getting there. Finally. After tweaking the NPAS, it's sitting nicely at around 1.4J - site limit for DMR is 1.49J. Am using a 350 round HPA tapped drum mag. Now I just need to test it to get it firing straight and we're good to go. I probably won't use that scope in the end - will probably put the vortex diamondback on it. But either way, I'm getting excited I might actually, finally, be able to field it!

It happened to me all the time - which is why my mk23 would always be out and in reach. My record in such encounters is 50/50, but by God I always went down fighting lol

Many thanks. And holy crap, surely not for a normal skirmish??? I used to have 224 rounds across 7 mags. And it was a ballache when going up against hicap AEGs. However, thanks to the wonderful magic of @rocketdogbert I know have a custom made AW drum mag for it... And I'm so excited at the prospect of being uber competitive against everyone, without having to be particularly sneaky 😄

the idea of panic reloading in games makes me sweat about just thinking about it 😂 the drum mag now makes complete sense.

yep, I just had to drop the power ever so slightly using the NPAS valve. I should probably add that my sites limits are 1.14 J too so it's currently set to about 1.1J with 0.36 to be on the safe side. it's stock apart from NPAS a modify tan bucking and one of daves brass nubs. the previous owner had already installed these but it doesn't look like he ever actually skirmished the rifle so otherwise it was pretty much new. @sonofsammo that is starting to sound like a bit of a beast. you'll have to let us know how you get on... but I mean 350 rounds!!!!! I only normally carry 280 on me and that lasted me for a day 😂

I had my first game with mine last Saturday and needless to say they perform incredibly well. If you can get on with the real cap mags I doubt that you will be disappointed. the range and accuracy with 0.36g BB's was impressive despite some very heavy wind 🙂

Well the browning L9A1 hi power came back. Unfortunately they laser etched the markings instead of engraving them.... 😡 And because of the silver colour you can't even see the ones engraved on the chamber 😣 Oh well......

Don't be discouraged if you give sound advice to people in a thread and they ignore it and do what they wanted to do before they opened the thread looking for validation. I read a lot on here before asking questions and learned so much from responses to people questions.

Dunno. Raven appear to be a Nuprol rebrand, which is weird given that Nuprol is already a rebrand of... whatever. The AA and Raven might very well be from the same factory, but the AA was £56.50 (after Secret Discount) and the Ravens are £72 from PatrolBase. Keeping the whole order under the psychological £100 barrier was the difference between wasting my money on more stupid toys, versus not wasting my money on more stupid toys. And yes, I might end up running pistol primary - this was the cheapest way to see if that's for me. According the AFUK review, the AA is TM compatible, so when it breaks I can sort it with proper magical parts.

I've finally cracked and bought a GBB pistol for haptic larks. In best tight Scotchman style, it's the cheapest one that I could find, the Army Armament R17-A not-a-Glock, blessed as sort-of-OK-ish by Jebus Himself: The giggle is that I've done what we all know not to do, and ordered it from... bbguns4less. Because why? Because cheapness. (£60 + 2 x £21 WE mags) - the 7% discount code you get from leaving it in your basket for 24 hours + free postage = <£95 delivered. My rule of thumb is that anything under 3 figures is disposable, and PayPal means that if it turns up pre-licked by Sweaty Dom or explodes during the first garage plinking session, then a dispute goes in, and back it goes.
