  2. Anyone know where I can get MLOK parts?

    1. ak2m4

      ak2m4

What MLOK parts do you actually need?  Whole rail or just accessories?

    2. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

  3. Can anyone suggest internal upgrades for turning an M4 into an LMG platform? Using the A&K CASV, and im unsure if it's got a high torque motor, or if i need to upgrade my gearset or install a mosfet?

@AshOnSnow because you can only hear piston hitting cylinder head and not so much of the gears whiny noise, i always shim my guns to best of my ability, even my KWA RM4 recoil gun is shimmed perfectly only hear piston hitting the cylinder head and ofc the recoil shock.

  4. Dug out my M4 after a year of not using it, charged battery and doesn't fire? Argh balls :(

Haven't really opened it that far to check. bit of a noob in AEG repairs. Will check tomorrow though

      AshOnSnow

Not much of a repair - where the battery connects, just make sure one of the wires hasn't popped out of the little plug on the gun

    4. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

Ohh you mean the soldered connectors? Yeah they're fine. Even tested the battery in another gun and it works, so it's definitely somet to do with the gun itself.

  5. Got my birthday on a black friday this year ;D Think i'll treat myself to a new gun for the next game on the 2nd, Anyone recommend an AK for around £200?

Iv'e had SanDisk and Samsung in all of my cameras. The only reason I use SanDisk over Samsung is when I have to use a gopro as it cant take anything over 32gb

      Gepard

+1 for SanDisk. I use this card in my camera and it works fine.

    4. Skara

      Skara

Using SanDisk in my hero 3+ silver, never had a problem.

They work and they're relatively inexpensive.

  10. So, decided on the ICS L86A2. Anyone got any tips for maintenance and use?

  11. That heart stopping moment when your M4 reciever pin flies off in the safe zone while your disassembling...

  12. Tryna gauge the room; LMG wise, ICS L86A2 or Ares Stoner?

I'd say the stoner, although thanks to airsoft a drum mag in the l86 will net the same results.

    3. Mr Operator (RED)

      Mr Operator (RED)

It all depends on which one feels right for you personally I use a stoner63 it's fantastic but at the same time I wish I had never got rid of L86 LSW  but as Asomodia has said the L86 may not be the right choice for MILSIM so it will depend on two factors which one you like best and your intend use I.E skirmish or MILSIM

Appreciate the responses, guys. Can anyone comment on the internals of either gun? considering I know ICS and ares are pretty good in the AEG department

    3. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

okay well update: got it all the way off, cleaned the inner barrel, checked the hop rubber (fine) and the gearbox has strong compression. dust cover was being a pain in the ass; kept slipping out of place each time i tried putting it on and jammed up against the gearbox. Sadly now the cover release isnt working and the receiver is now jammed once again, with the battery connection hanging out the magwell xD

  17. Anyone got eyes on the ICS 252 (Better known as the Sig 552) ? £160 sounds decentish..or is ICS shite?

      ImTriggerHappy

I have an Ics Sig 552 its a great gun. Forget what it says above.mosfet is pointless unless you change other stuff or are planning on using an 11.1 lipo.

Inner barrel is fine the bucking is crap though.

Pay the extra and get the mrs version though lots of RIS and you dont need a peq box for the battery. Mags are an issue thats the only thing.

      Hudson

I picked one up 2nd hand a few weeks for a bargain; liking it so far.

Much more solid than my old TM and JG versions and the quick take-down is a god-send!

  18. Anyone got recommendations for the G&G CM line? Tempted to get a CM18 or Raider series. Hell, i'll even get the KAC PDW if it's worth the money! :3

      RabidNinja64

Well the final question of the day is how well does it perform? i've heard positive things about most G&G products, bar the 30th.

i dont really mind front wired, and i'd probably end up changing the handguard to a full rail RIS, as the lipo's i have are abit too big these days to hide inside so a bat-box is needed in most situations.

    3. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

30th ??? - maybe I have said the 26 30th front sight is bit flimsy but the GC16 30th is the bollox - seen only happy reviews about the GC16 30th and mine I'm over the moon with. Though I haven't took her out skirmishing coz got her to add to my G&G collection and got plenty of others I take instead - Inside it is a CM16 so can't for the life of me imagine it being any less solid starter gun than my others. If your unsure get a raider though I think long raider is a tad long...

If you can push £30 more, I'd recommend a semapo 6094, real multicam, all that good stuff and with more molle real estate than you could ever wish for

    3. Lozart

      Lozart

Take a look at the Condor or Flyye ranges on Military 1st.

    4. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

Some interesting vests, especially the WAS product line & Semapo. Condor look decent, but Flyye seem a little too out of my price range with their Military1st products. Appreciate the help! :)

  20. Anyone know where i can buy a cheap pack of o-rings online? a pack of 8 pieces of small rubber for 4 quid seems too ridiculous for me.

"Superglue fuses rubber if it contains cyanoacrylate"

Come on. Seriously did you just say that? Super Glue IS a cyanoacrylate adhesive. Also it doesn't fuse, it bonds.

Anyway, the reason your particular case failed was most likely down to poor bonding of the original rubber pad on the head. Which is the precise reason why pretty much EVERY tutorial I've ever seen for AoE correction says you should remove any original pad before fixing on your sorbo pad. Cheap...

    3. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

I'm gonna back out of this but not ALL adhesives marked as "super glue" contains that.

      Simple check that was all

    4. Lozart

      Lozart

I've never yet seen a "super glue" that isn't a cyanoacrylate. Granted Super Glue is a trade name so not all cyanoacrylates are "Super Glue" but I'm pretty sure all super glues are cyanoacrylate. Happy to be proven wrong as ever though.

  21. Anyone who's familiar with the TV show Banshee knows the immense pain right now........

  22. Are their any airsoft makes in general that should be avoided on principle? And this goes for accesories, guns, poor delivery times, pathetic customer service, etc

had my hands on one of their L96's not too long ago. wayy too much plastic and not alot of detail so kinda pushed me away. They actually any good?

    3. sp00n

      sp00n

Dunno to be honest, but a lot of snipers use them, as there is a lot of upgrade parts available.

      My self I have a TM l96

    4. Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies

Those BB gun Rifles are usually AGM L96s,or DE ones. Avoid 100%,can't do anything with them

  23. Argh! second gun of the year which is totally knackered (according to "expert opinion") which will probably cost me just as much as getting a new one. Should just avoid m4 builds altogether at this point.
