That's a good suggestion but to be honest we're actually away for a week on Sunday. I know, bad timing. So, I don't know about being able to organise something now? I guess all I'd have to do is get Halo Mill's address or the shop, tell them in advance before ordering then have them keep it a bit for us? My original plan was order it today or tommorow so it would be here after the holiday but then remembered I should check the defence.

You know what would look nice with multicam?!! MOOORE MULTICAM!!

  3. Best BB weight to use with a JG BAR-10 stock? 0.25 or 0.30?

  4. AFAIK the only way is to reduce FPS for a C02 or gas gun is to drill the valve or something. I was looking at getting the KWC Mini Uzi but it shoots 360+ and drilling is the only way other then managing to find a specific Mini Uzi non-export version valve that reduces the FPS.
  5. I did see a review where the guy mention 'his old one' and kept referring to differences between the two. I think he mentioned at some point it was the cheaper version he had. From what I remember the cheaper ones doesn't have the OCC dial (adjustment wheel thing at the back) which is really helpful. There are better quality straps and padding on the more expensive version. Also the cheaper ones have thinner shells and flex easier whereas build quality on the other is stronger. For what you pay the cheaper one is still pretty good though. TaiwanGun's a Polish site, despite the name. If you spend around £55 you'll get free shipping. Plus, there's no extra charges to pay either since it's from the EU. They sell a lot of stuff, a lot of it is cheap ACM but they have a selection of quality gear and parts too. I'm ordering a JG BAR-10 with two or three magazines and a load of ammo which will be around £110 tommorow in fact (my first order from them but heard many good things) The ammo in question is their P&J brand which is extremely cheap but I've heard nothing but great reviews of them! I'll be buying two or three bags of 0.30s and two or three bags of 0.20s. That's 4-6 thousand 0.3s and 8 to 12,000 0.20g rounds for like £20 total!
  6. I don't know if it was just us but the last time I went I noticed it looked really easy for the opposing team to defend the mosque and the room above the shooting range. They have a pretty good view from the windows down to the APC and they can easily cover the large space which is the range. It certainly requires teamwork and communication to do well since there are so many angles and directions you can be shot at from. CQC tactics are what Halo Mill is trying to promote and you must make best use of them in that environment. Reception area is brilliant. Space is great after the expansion, so you have enough room to get all your gear out. They even have a sofa in there and a vending machine as well as lots if hire guns, snacks and ammo. Marshals are very good at emphasising the importance of safety which is great to teach the younger players and beginners. Personally I do prefer woodland, but Halo is unparalleled in what it offers. Proximity to myself is a big plus and weeknight games as opposed to fortnightly skirmishes means that airsoft is available to more people and you can get your airsoft fix more frequently. Membership isn't the best since they say you can only go three times before you have to sign up. It's a clever way for them to earn more money and people and prepared to pay it. For £60 you do get your monies worth. First off you enjoy the benefit of reduced rates. Not only this but I'm pretty sure it still includes a short training session. Whether this is still with the same guy anymore I don't know. I'm afraid I don't remember his name but he was an instructor for years, training not only the police but even the SAS. Last time I heard this guy was doing naval warfare training with the French Navy and he works for Euro Tactical. Needless to say it's a really good introductory course which teaches you a lot of useful real skills. I believe it was worth £20-£30 and lasted an hour and a half to two hours in total. I went to a second course as well with the same bloke which covered some slightly more advanced tactics. You also receive a voucher when you take out your membership (and upon renewal) which IIRC entitles you to £5 or £10 off when you spend £50. It was great for us since we shop at Patrol Base quite a lot (store is only about ten minutes away from us!) In conclusion I would thoroughly recommend this a lot to anybody. I think it's also great to introduce newer potential airsofters (I have brought a couple mates before and my Australian cousin) due to the accessibility of the site. I've seen there are people from around the area who have came to Halo who otherwise probably wouldn't have heard of airsoft but noticed Halo Mill due to the location. It's definitely worth a try.
  7. Anyone on here actually used Ali Express? For anything? Put off by lack of PayPal

Only problem is that like all China stuff you buy you gotta wait anything from 2 weeks to 5 weeks. But f*ck it for the cheapness who cares. They sell M4 Ris fronts for £12!! Thats crazy cheap. Fast jump helmets from £20, Peq boxes, 5.11 rip of clothing, you name it.

aye - off topic bought loads of console stuff from there - crazy price but credit card not paypal. But you just buy from a seller with good feedback/rating etc....

  8. Sorry for the double post (I'm on iPhone ATM so can't edit the other post) but where did you get yours from Jay?
  9. I've seen those Emerson FAST helmets for about £24 on Ali-Express, there's also the more expensive versions for about £40-£50. I've seen good reviews on YouTube but they're mostly on the latter. I'm also looking at an ACM / 8FIELDS MICH 2002 from TaiwanGun for £20 and you can buy real Ops-Core pads and straps for them( another £20 though)
  10. I seem to remember hearing not so good things about it, although to be honest that was a while ago. It's more than I thought so it should be pretty good. Since it's an AEP there probably won't be a lot of aftermarket upgrade or replacements parts available.
  11. There aren't any weapon specific soft holsters are there? Maybe try an adjustable holster like this: http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airosft-holsters/viper-modular-adjustable-holster.htm#.U73D2vldXWg
  12. I can't think of any Russian Soviet bloc sidearms / PDWs other than the TT-33 and Skorpion. I'm pretty sure all airsoft TT-33s are quite shite as well. The JG Skorpion is okay but can't say it will last very long.
  13. Thoughts on ESS V12 goggles? What are they like in terms of ventilation, do they steam up a lot? Etc.

+1 on the ESS cloth. Should be one with the goggles.

Ah yeah I completely forgot about that. I normally pull the goggles out of their little lense bag and chuck that back in my kit bag.

  14. It looks sort of like a ERGO Suregrip, but I can't think what that logo is. I swear I've seen it before. Could be a clone.
  15. If you like ARMA and things you'll probably like Insurgency. I think it looks really good. A lot of people seem to like it so for £11 I think it's worth a go. I need to pick it up myself at some point.
  16. So, going to order from TaiwanGun probably Friday or Saturday. Off on holiday for a week so should come by the time I'm back or I'll have a letter from customs or something. So just write UKARA# in business line of address and contact them before saying I'm about to order put *UKARA# here* on box?

That's why I'll always pester retailers to order me stuff instead of risking it myself. That's my worst nightmare.

The hell? I can't believe they're just allowed to do that.

  17. CO2 is more expensive to run and can shoot a bit hot. Advantage it will work better in the cold compared to gas. Latest WE guns are good but I'd recommend you stay away from their older guns and especially their 1911s / Hi-Capa pistols. TM would be the best if you can afford one. KWA are good as well I think but are also expensive at around £150.
  18. Those are good sidearms, wouldn't recommend the DE though.
  19. Gunfire is also really good and they're based in Poland as well. WE Glock 17 for £85 including free shipping
  20. You won't be able to get any upgrades for a springer pistol either by the way.
  21. £30!? Save up for a tri shot shotgun by DE. I believe it's called the M56. They're about £40-£50. £32 if you buy one from Poland but it's a RIF.
  22. I wouldn't bother with an 11.1v, you're really going to want done some upgrades before using one of else it could wreck your gun. 7.4 should be fine.
