      Happy day, Yorkshire!

  2. Honestly wishing I hadn't bought that sh*tty Mil-Tec Vegetato. Real stuff or at least Helikon would have been much better. Hell the shirt doesn't even fit me. What a waste of money. Now I have sh*t guns and sh*t camo, or maybe I just make it look bad...anyway, excited for my M24 :)

In hindsight, I shouldn't've said that because I'm trying to sell the shirt & SA rig. PM me if you're interested in a Vegetato shirt (large regular) and/or Vegetato south african assault vest?

Should always do an excessive amount of research before buying. I spent two weeks browsing multicam BDU's and got my wife to measure me twice before finally finding one just right.

I guess you could relate to the saying "measure twice, cut once" but rather, measure twice, buy once? You could always have a crack at building yourself a ghillie as you're getting into sniping?

Aside from the clothing M24's are one of my favourite looking rifles up there w...

  3. FINALLY completed TaiwanGun order! :)

  4. Going to make one myself, best place for materials? The synthetic stuff? I've already got the paracord, just need that, glue and a BDU shirt (probably surplus US woodland one) to use.

Okay the password for PayPal isn't working that's the problem.

This is really pissing me off. I used PayPal yesterday and got the password first time. Now I've tried it 6+ times and it's always wrong. Why must my dad have like 10 passwords for everything :|

  7. Why is it telling me any image I try to have as my signature is over 500x200?

  8. Just remembered that there's a desert-like airsoft site near Bolton and even a site as close as Halifax :) Plus I have found out Skirmish over in Sheffield do night games :D must go there some time

  9. As far as I know, if you're wearing lower face protection as well your eye pro then it counts as full face . My local site (indoor CQC) has a U18s must wear full face pro rule and I was allowed to use my mesh half face mask and goggles. It guess it could be different at Skirmish though.
  10. I think you probably would get quite hot wearing something like a shemagh. Anything thinner like a neck gaiter and it won't protect your neck. If you decide to use goggles and a half face mask instead then it would probably be better to use one. They're on sale here + free shipping I think. http://www.polimil.co.uk/web-tex-shemaghs.html I'm not sure which mask that is, sorry.
  11. The VCR Act doesn't cover (can't think of the word again when I need it) ownership! It's just import / manufacture / retail. Gifting should be fine.
  12. Wow, it certainly is getting bigger every year! Are there a lot of people who come over from Europe, do you know? I'll have to make a trip down some time when I've got proper gear and guns and everything. Shame it's allt way down south :|
  13. What about a Goblin Deuce? They're pretty expensive over here for what they are. At least they are at Patrol Base - £85! Plus £26 for another couple shells. Out of stock most places too AND it only holds two shells of course. However, they seem really awesome for CQC and room clearance!
  14. This one that you linked http://www.amazon.co.uk/Paintball-Goggle-Proto-Switch-EL/dp/B0020R399A/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
  15. Yeah there was an article for his minigun video because it had 20 million views or so. A load of sad twats commenting how it's the worst thing ever and how bad it is that America invented it and how we all love guns which means we want to kill everybody and so on. I've never seen advertising before but I have always thought it would be a good idea. I know Halo Mill are in a fairly built up area which is good because they definitely got noticed a lot more. They have a load of flyers and businesses cards but not sure if they had any ads.
  16. Yeah to say the TM Tri Shots are like £100-£150? I'd say it isn't worth it. You're paying as much as a decent beginner AEG for a springer shotty. TM 870s are awesome if you can afford.
  17. All G&G guns are very good. The intermediate and advanced ones should be metal (if the real one is) Personally I would recommend the Combat Machine that has a transparent receiver from Pro Airsoft Supplies. It's only £100 + £40 or so for batteries and a charger. It isn't metal but it's cheaper and lightweight. Face mask should be good, they have thermal lenses which should help reduce fogging.
  18. Yeah I want to get a Condor or Warrior belt soon to replace it.
  19. I can't remember if I saw it on here (could have been reddit or something) but a BB did go through the gap between a guy's glasses and his half face mask. Hit him underneath the eye (well, still on his really) He lost his eyesight temporarily and blacked out because he was in shock. Fortunately, he recovered but no doubt was not a nice experience and he has worn full seal ever since. It is very rare but it can still happen if you're unlucky enough. I have ESS Ice glasses but I will use these only for sniping. I have ASG Strike Systems goggles which I would use if I am going rifleman and I'm likely to be getting shot at much more and in close quarters.
  20. Welcome to the forum mate! Enjoy this weekend!
  21. Two point bungee sling for A&K M24 / JG BAR-10 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Adjustable-2-Two-Point-Tactical-Rifle-Sling-Airsoft-Paintball-Hunting-Gun-Strap-/201070115961?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&var=&hash=item2ed0b67c79
  22. I'm buying either an A&K M24 or JG BAR-10 tonight. As for gear I have a Viper belt platform with WAS double pistol mag pouch and a Blackhawk frag grenade pouch. I'll probably buy a WAS .338 pouch and Helikon utility pouch as well. I bought Mil-Tec vegetato BDUs but the shirt's massive on me unfortunately so I just run a WAS t-shirt instead. Really would like some new gear. (WAS = Warrior Assault Systems, btw)
  23. Okay so I'm about to order my BAR-10 and guess what? I find they ALSO sell the A&K M24 that's supposed to be really good. Plus it's actually cheaper.

That makes a lot of sense but I honestly can't decide. The A&K sounds like it's pre-upgraded and from what I've heard you're ready to go OOTB. They're similar enough by the sound of it that anyone who knows about the BAR should be able to help with M24 problems.

Might message Samurai and see what he'd recommend.

  24. I never realised it was actually illegal to import, and that your defence literally is a defence against prosecution. In fact I am ordering a gun today from a Polish company. Advice I have heard is out your UKARA number in the business line of the address so it shows up, and also you can write a message in an order commentary (ask them to write it on the box too) So as I see it, just make sure UKARA # is clearly displayed (preferably more than one place maybe) and you should be fine. I know plenty of others have ordered from HK and Europe and one or two members here have bought from the USA, no problems at all.
