  1. Good to hear you're really enjoying it. Welcome to the forum mate
  2. My dad and I had a couple of those Palcos, tbh been meaning to get back to Ian for ages now (sorry bout that) We're trying to source new mags for em - don't leave CO2 in the gun cos the mags don't work anymore Noob mistake. I think they were good pistols, only thing I didn't like is the long trigger pull, but I think this is a feature of all USPs anyway. Halo Mill allowed them as they were their hire pistols (Now replaced by WE M&Ps I believe) but other sites might not let you use them.
  3. You can't get any good guns for £30. /thread Edit: Best gun you can get for the money that is skirmishable. It's transparent so VCRA-complaint = no defence needed. Plus it isn't some nasty bright colour, looks much better IMO! http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?WD=trans&PN=cm16_carbine_transparent%2ehtml#SID=239
  4. I'd just disassemble it and remove the fire selector, paint over the whole thing and re-assemble. Those markings are kind of unnecessary anyway. Wouldn't recommend you do it unless you have a valid defence though mate. If they were engraved or something you could go over them with nail varnish or a crayon but painted on I don't see what you could do apart from cover it with tape.
  5. I wouldn't recommend any slings under a tenner. I've bought one recently off eBay and whilst it'll probably do the job it just feels cheap and uncomfortable. On the other hand, my ASG one point bungee sling is great (wrote a review of it on here by the way) I think Condor ones are good (can get them on Military 1st) but they're at the top end of your budget at £20 and up. Finally I've seen a few recommendations for the Viper 3-point sling and I know Ferro Concepts are good, you can get their LW-OPS (Lightweight One Point Sling) here: http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/ferro-concepts---lightweight-one-point-sling-16089-p.asp
  6. I'd recommend the G&G MP5A4 (I believe it's called the PM5) They do them for £250 but there's also a Sportline version for only £130 or so. The only difference is that the upper receiver is also constructed from (very high quality) polymer. As usual with G&G guns the internals should also be excellent. It probably comes with their green hop rubber which is awesome too. Plus, the stock should give you a huge battery space. You could pick up a battery and charger for it for around £30 max I think, and if you don't mind the wait you can order an 8 pack of MAG MP5 magazines from HK retailer eHobby Asia. They're only £30 or so, whereas in the UK they are £55/£60. I really wish I'd bought this gun myself as I've heard lots of good things about it. I bought a Classic Army MP5K Sportline Starter Kit as my first gun which cost like £140 but I honestly wish I'd known about the G&G MP5.
  7. Most flash suppressors are completely useless apart for looks, since obviously there's no actual muzzle flash. There's the Madbull Noveske KX3 flash hider which works well as an amplifier on GBBRs but not so much on AEGs. I bought an Element clone KX3 off Airsoft-Peak for only about $11 IIRC whereas the Madbull one will set you back £30-40! Also my red dot sight arrived yesterday - only cost £16 which is the sort of piece you'd pay for one from China. Except this was from a UK seller so I didn't need to wait a month. I haven't used any other red dot sights but it's about what I expected after seeing reviews of other ones (they are all basically the same, probably all produced by the same manufacturers) It's really up to your play style, site, and personal preference, as the others have said already. I'd say some kind of sight is probably the most useful attachment since it would be good to have one regardless of if you're playing indoors / outdoors and so on. Maybe a set of rail ladder covers to make holding a RIS more comfortable and protect it. Stuff such as a flashlight depends on where you're playing but you can get lots of different ones for all range of budgets. For example I think I saw Swiss Arms torches for around £15 with mounts, or there's Element SureFire replicas from China for like £25 (in the UK they are £40-60 or somethjng) or NEXTORCH are an affordable real steel brand I believe (WL10 illuminator is £39, NASH Airsoft did a review of it)
  8. Oh, thanks for the info. It's listed at £350 but you can still get £20 off with the discount code. http://direct.asda.com/Sony-PlayStation-4---Destiny--PS4/003750181,default,pd.html?dual=0
  9. Do I have to choose ONE? AR Platform I know a lot of people hate to see M4s all the time (myself included sometimes) but I think a lot of AR style rifles can look very unique and really cool. Troy M7A1 PDW CMMG VSBR w/ Troy TRX 9" I think these both look awesome. The FDE is sexy as fook. Favourite Pistols S&W M&P or FN FNP Any Kryptek (except for Typhon which I'm not so sure if I like or not) A-TACS AU or LE hydro dip
  10. I'm buying a the PS4 Destiny bundle soon Looks like it could be a really good game and the package is cheaper than buying just the console itself (Asda you get £20 off) Need to sell my PS3 and games though that I will only get like £80 for
  11. The number refers to the metres per second the spring should make the gun shoot at. So 90 m/s = 295-300 FPS Downgrade may be required if your air seal have been upgraded (hence the power increase) say if you installed a tightbore barrel or some upgrade parts in the gearbox. So if the gun is shooting too hot you could replace the M100 with the M90 spring to reduce the FPS. Good place to look for a battery and charger is Component Shop.
  12. Would a WE G17 potentially fit a clone Crye GunClip replica such as this one? http://www.ebairsoft.com/style-glock-holster-p-4593.html I know the genuine thing will hold a .40 G22 but doesn't say a .45 Glock would fit.

No, WE Glocks are slightly fatter than real Glocks.

I know, just thought the replica might have be a slightly bigger size or something. Thanks.

  13. Wouldn't recommend you buy anything from a bbguns website! It's literally like the first thing everyone will tell you. I wouldn't trust what they write about the guns either, for example justbbguns said that a gun had a metal gearbox but it literally had one metal gear and everything else in it was cheap, bad quality plastic (UnrustleThineJimmies did a review of it I believe). I don't know how good HFC are. I have heard bad things about Crosman because a lot of their cheap guns are sold in the US at places like Walmart. Probably wouldn't last too long. Some of SRCs guns are good (heard the G36s are) but a lot of them are bad so I would not recommend their pistols. I suppose if you're only wanting something to mess around with in the garden, the 'bbguns' stores would be okay. Since a lot of the proper airsoft retailers don't stock those guns. I would not buy anything else from them though as it is usually overpriced and the customer service is bad and so on. That said I would recommend you saved up and invested in a rifle like the G&G Combat Machine because they can last you a long time (even stock / out of the box the quality is very good for a cheaper airsoft gun) and you can upgrade them externally as well as internally if you want to upgrade performance or fix anything in the future. Available from Pro Airsoft Supplies with a transparent stock and receiver (so it's VCRA-compliant, no defence needed + looks much better than a bright colour) for £100. Add £20-£40 max for battery and charger. If you wanted to go to a skirmish at some point, the pistols wouldn't really cut it and you'd find yourself at a disadvantage with less range / accuracy / ammo capacity and so on. TaiwanGun and Gunfire (both Polish) are great (I used TaiwanGun myself) but unfortunately no they won't two-tone your guns. Finally, C02 is more expensive and more powerful (so it may shoot too hot -over 350FPS- and not be allowed at a skirmish site) but the advantages are that it is affected less by the cold compared to green gas. Hope this has helped and welcome to the forum!
  14. +1 for G&G Combat Machine. They're great, especially for a beginner. I wish I'd bought one as my first gun!
  15. Fucks sake.
  16. My dad is 50, we don't manage to go skirmish a lot though
  17. Welcome!
  18. I'll order one then, put it up to £16 but that's still a really good price (about what you'd pay for one from China) Bought one of these ^
  19. What a bunch of twats! Anybody who can't respect others hobbies / opinions and so on needs to grow up and get a life. Hate judgmental and arrogant people like that.
  20. Got good GCSE results, me mum got a new job, and Patrol Base got GHK M4s in ooooh yeah :D

Not much point getting one untill they release the 1j nozzle. Already confirmed to be shooting 400 fps

FFS :( I think I'll just wait for the TM GBBR anyway cos it would take me ages to save up for one right now.

  21. Found quite a lot of the answer choices weren't applicable to me but hey it's no problem, just clicked whatever was closest
  22. Try Bolle PILOPSI goggles. My dad has to wear glasses but can't have prescription inserts or anything. I've heard that the PILOPSI goggles could work and I was meaning to buy some but haven't got any yet. It's almost impossible to find any that will work with glasses as far as I know unfortunately.
  23. Still doesn't explain what it is?
  24. ASG STRIKE SYSTEMS® SINGLE POINT BUNGEE SLING So this is the sling I use, which I picked up from Patrol Base quite a while back. I'll try to keep this review short and not too boring. If there's anything I left out you'd like me to mention, let me know. CONSTRUCTION The polyester material used throughout feels exceptionally durable. Comfort is very nice as the webbing feels very soft. The polymer hardware used is good quality as the components are thicker and have considerably less flex than the cheaper ones found on a £7 sling I bought off eBay. The two 2" to 1" webbing reducers are UTX FLEX branded, whereas the tri-glide appears to be manufactured by a company called KSJ. There's box stitching and double stitching where the end of webbing is looped around and sown back on itself. Here is the material of the ASG sling compared with the other sling (the ASG being on the right) FEATURES Included with the sling is a single point sling adaptor (shown below) which allows you to attach the sling on a gun where you would not otherwise be able to. For example, a stock devoid of a permanent attachment point. It also fulfills another purpose, the adaptor can be used with an existing sling loop so there is no metal on metal contact and the hook is protected from wear. The adaptor is constructed from the same polyester material as the sling itself, with unbranded polymer D-ring and tri-glide adjuster. Also box stitched at the end for durability. COST In my mind this sling is superb value at £13-£16 (depending on where you purchase) Unfortunately, it appears most retailers are sold out or simply doesn't stock ASG products. CONCLUSION At the lower end of the price range, the quality is excellent. Whilst it's a simple design, there's no need to look any further or to be paying £20-£30 or more. It's a robust piece of kit and it does it's job brilliantly. I'd definitely recommend one for anyone operating in closer quarters environments using a PDW or carbine.
  25. These are some very cool paint jobs with tutorials. You could make stencils (print out a picture of the camo pattern and cut it out) or use natural things like leaves to create a good effect. You could also try scrim net / mesh / fishnet tights as well. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB9xdbovwX5Loe_101sHsZTsFdUl_XSWs
