  1. Good idea. I was thinking of sites around Sheffield for the north, but then again most of them up here are relatively close enough to each other anyway, and there's going to be someone who has to travel a bit further than others depending on where we end up choosing. I think the main thing would be finding a quite large site, maybe Alpha One could be one to consider? They've hosted events before like the Lee Rigby memorial before.
  2. KWA's are said to be the best because they're widely available in the US. On the other hand Tokyo Marui pistols aren't. They don't get imported into the US, and most people don't order from overseas (after all, they don't need to for anything else and things are cheap enough there to not warrant buying from abroad) I'd say if you couldn't get a TM, KWA would be the next best option, but get a Marui and you won't regret it.
  3. TM pistols are exactly the opposite of that. They're extremely reliable and very good quality. They have very good performance too. Same applies to their rifles. Marui hop units give great range and accuracy which other companies don't come close to without upgrading (as they have never been able to properly replicate the Marui design)
  4. Can't decide between getting 2 PTS PMAGs or 5 Beta Project PMAGs for £30?

Well, obviously it depends what your shopping list is right now, but the BP mags I had were largely junk in every way that mattered. All my PTS ones never skipped a beat.

They definitely seem worth it! I should just say fck it and buy them before they go out of stock there as well. Plenty of time to get anything else after all.

  5. Oh :| I'd heard they're good for airsoft
  6. No! BB guns aren't for airsoft! Besides, airsoft pellets are 6mm. You can't get 4.5mm plastic BBs.
  7. Yes. I'd say it's a good idea. Make sure they're a good brand (like ESS) and give you full seal protection. ESS Turbofans are supposed to be excellent but goggles don't necessarily have to be expensive - Bolle Cobra goggles for example are only about a tenner from Amazon. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Boll%C3%A9-COBFSPSI-Bolle-Safety-Goggles/dp/B006M0JPXK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403549350&sr=8-1&keywords=Bolle+cobra
  8. I don't think you'll need a new spring. I wouldn't really recommend starting to upgrade your gun straight away either, unless you are confident you know what you're doing. Then again you probably shouldn't listen to that advice because I really need to maintain my guns more. My dads Umarex (S&T) G36 shoots ~ 320 I think. The velocity it says on the box could be because it was done with 0.12s rather than .20s. Cybergun do that all the time. When on about springs, the number refers to the velocity it should give you in metres per second. 110 m/s = 360 (too powerful) Can depend on your air seal and other parts though (for example a tightbore barrel will increase velocity) Battery linked is using a JST connector. Your G36 should have a mini Tamiya plug instead? If you were prepared to re-wire it Deans connectors are your best option (much less resistance) Other than that the capacity, voltage and brand and everything of the battery is good. LiPos are great, much better than NiMh!
  9. Welcome to the forums! I know there are a few people who play at Black Ops Cribbs and the Courthouse, but not if there's anybody else from Wales on here.
  10. It has three springs in, one for each barrel. I don't know but I'm guessing they aren't like a standard AEG size.
  11. Don't think there are any mods you can do to it. It's not really supposed to be disassembled and upgraded. I took mine apart when it broke. Changing the spring wouldn't increase the range anyway?
  12. Yep, would recommend trying to get TM. I know the ASG ones can be faulty OOTB, I bought a pack of five or six (not sure exactly how many) and a least a couple didn't work. They can be fixed (there was an unjamming tutorial on YouTube I think would do it) but the Marui ones should be more reliable.
  13. The spring is just going to effect the power of the gun. The number means the velocity the gun should shoot at in metres per second. Could be a little different because of course not every gun will perform exactly the same (it can depend on the air seal or new parts that are put in like a tightbore barrel will increase power) 90 m/s is about 300 FPS and 100 is about 328. You only need to downgrade the spring if the gun is shooting over 350 FPS. I don't think the G&G Combat Machines will. The performance should be great! I have heard a lot of good things said that they can do better than much more expensive guns actually! So no you should not need a new hop up. In the future you might want to get some new parts but I would say if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Doing any upgrades straight away would be unnecessary and also I would not recommend doing upgrades and things as a beginner because you might not want to do it with limited knowledge and the other option is pay for it to be done but that means it is expensive. £35 for a spring change (spring itself could be bought for just a tenner or less) Component-Shop is a good place to look for batteries! Any of the brands are good I don't think it really matters. I'd recommend 7.4V LiPo batteries. I think if some other people comment they will be able to help you out more because they have a Combat Machine so they know which batteries will fit and things like that.
  14. Awesome Tactical Kit just got a few Grey Ghost Gear things in stock including pouches in Kryptek which I was (coincidentally) looking for earlier today

  15. They're Shield red dot sights AFAIK. Unless some units are using Docter ones instead I don't know.
  16. Combat Machine without a doubt. I can guarantee they're a thousand times better than anything you'll see for ~ £80 on those 'bb guns' websites.
  17. You should never get any charges on things from the EU, so don't worry about having to pay anything extra. When you say kit what do you mean exactly? Because you talk about returning it for it to be fixed. Guns maybe, but through my past experience with Polish retailers communication isn't great due to the language barrier. Supposedly they do free spring downgrades and things like that so their actual customer service is good and my delivery from TaiwanGun was on time and everything. Sending it back all the way to Poland would be potentially expensive and a hassle though nonetheless. I think in that situation I'd rather just get it repaired in the UK. That said isn't it quite rare you're going to have a major problem with the stuff you ordered? The gear on the Polish sites generally look quite cheap (ACM / 8FIELDS stuff) Exception of a few things on Gunfire like Helikon / Direct Action products - but I wouldn't expect it to break or fall apart that quickly. Finally I'd recommend taking a look on the Places to Buy section (if you haven't already) and you'll see there are threads on both Gunfire and TaiwanGun which I believe are the two main ones people (on AF-UK at least) order from. There are others like specshop.pl but I don't know what they're like. Hope this helps.
  18. Individual parts aren't a problem. I'd recommend you just get a defence first and save yourself the hassle though.
  19. I don't know much but to me the one on the right looks like a RICAS and the middle could be a Crye AVS?
  20. What's the charger rating thing? It should say something like 300mA on it (which would mean it would charge the battery in 4 hours)
  21. WE Gen 3s weren't very good but their newer ones based on the 4th gen Glocks are much better. Would really recommend trying the two out though if it's possible I personally like the feel of both but gonna get a WE G17.
  22. SUSATs are like £100 though and they aren't really in use any more. Could use an ACOG or EOTech (552?) instead as a cheaper / more up to date option? Some of em are also a lot of money but are all practically the same quality I think. I've heard ICS make the best L85A2 by the way. You would also need an adaptor from dovetail to Picatinny for mounting an optic.
