  1. They're* I'd try some 0.25s, if they aren't brilliant, 0.28s.
  2. As Tac said, don't buy a WE 1911. They're the worst pistols they make apparently.
  3. The CYMA CM.030 Glock 18 is good yeah. Unfortunately upgrades are hard to get hold of and expensive I think. I had a thread asking about them a while back. Airsoft World did sell a custom LiPo battery which improved trigger response and rate of fire a lot. Only cost a fiver more than the standard NiMh ones IIRC. Sold out though
  4. UR-Tactical has very reasonable shipping prices for a US shop :)

Oh haha I always thought it was in America. :| Thanks.

  5. No need to spend £100 on a scope. I'd recommend the Nikko Sterling 3-9x40 AO IR scope (AO meaning adjustable objective, you can focus much better rather than just a set distance so it's very useful. IR - Illuminated Reticle) Under £50 from Uttings.co.uk, but you'll need to buy 20mm scope rings for it too. Just look at their Mountmaster range anyway, lots of nice choices there.
  6. Awesome, nice first gun!
  7. Aren't they like $80? :\
  8. They aren't closing down...well they are but re-opening under a new name. Not sure what it's gonna be called, but you can rely on KhanSeb to announce it soon (think he said he would)
  9. Apparently it should be back in stock soon. Wish I could get one
  10. What's your budget? G&G MP5? Sportline versions for ~ £130 and Top Tech (full metal) ~ £250 http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?WD=mp5&PN=tgm_mp5_a4_combat_machinesub_machine_gun%2ehtml#SID=37 http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=6090 KWA B&T MP9A3 http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-weapons-c38/gas-rifles-c48/b-t-mp9-a3-p264 Tokyo Marui MP7A1 http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-weapons-c38/gas-rifles-c48/mp7a1-gas-blowback-p743
  11. No. Please don't buy from justbbguns!!!!!! Just look at the justbbguns thread. They're utter rip off merchants (and they lie about a load of their products too) That M4 is £80! WHAT? It will probably be made of sh*t plastic. The internals are most likely plastic as well. You won't be able to upgrade it. It looks terrible. It WILL be out ranged by everything else. I could go on... You can get a G&G Combat Machine M4 for £100-120! A battery and charger maybe £20-£30 more at the most. You're only paying £50 more and trust me you will be getting a MUCH better gun. Everyone recommends them if you have looked around at some other threads you will notice how popular they are because they're so good. Much better quality, excellent range and accuracy (performance to rival much more expensive guns) If you're gonna buy from a 'bbguns' site then I'd spend 20 absolute max on a springer pistol or something if you just want it for messing around with doing target practice. There should be a lot of useful guides around here for beginners or how to start and everything. I think it is UnrustleThineJimmies who has all the really useful links in his signature. Oh and welcome to the forums by the way.
  12. There are Madbull outer barrels for £40-£50 but apparently they don't fit unless you're using a madbull ultimate hop up
  13. Agreed with Flex, it'd be amazing to come play airsoft in the US. My mates and I definitely will do some kind of road trip one day and no doubt I will try to make it to a game and buy a gun / lots of tactical gear whilst I'm there! If I could get some stuff for half the price it is here or not have to pay like $50 shipping and a load of import charges and tax that would be brilliant. Don't think I could do a holiday just for airsoft though. Especially all the way to America.
  14. Pre-ordered the PS4 :D

  15. Agreed they do overcharge on a few things
  16. Try Patrol Base too, cos they said they could get a JG BAR in for me even though I don't think they've ever stocked em (or at least I've never seen them with any in the store or online anyway) So I'd assume they could try ordering you the SCAR.
  17. GBBRs definitely are much more fun and everything, but AEGs are better for reliability / cheaper to run / cheaper mags and higher capacity. I have a feeling a G&G Combat Machine M4 or MP5 will be my next rifle, then a WE M4A1 (£275) or WE G39 (£185) or GHK G5 (£225)
  18. Airsoft International did an article recommending it I think. I didn't really read it but the article was 'Can you snipe for £150?'
  19. Agreed if you want a flash mag, buy Lonex.
  20. You can get a Nextorch WL10 illuminator for £39. I've heard they're great. NASH Airsoft did a review. There's also the Element SureFire replicas which I think are supposed to be pretty good. If I remember correctly they are only £25-£30 from Asia (but over here they will charge £50/£60 for em) The WL10 has a momentary on switch / paddle which is great or you can get a pressure pad for the Element SF flashlights. Try to mount flashlights as far up the gun as possible so it doesn't illuminate your handguard / barrel too much, use it in sort of short bursts, aim at walls / floor (can't remember exactly why but I think you will find it if you type flashlight tips into YouTube or something) Finally if you're right handed, mount the torch on the right. This is cos people are more likely to aim for the light they see and if it was on the left they'e be shooting at you whereas on the right they could be just missing you if you see what I mean.

:/ second one worked for me. Oh well it doesn't really matter I forgot to think of all the other changes. It's a WE M&P Compact with one mag for only £41 but once you add shipping and tax and import duty and the couriers charge it's probably ~ £75/£80

Good luck getting it into the UK.

  21. Worked out I should get ~ £92 for my PS3 + 20 quid off PS4s at Asda so it'll only cost £230 or so :) TBH need to stop buying airsoft stuff when I hardly ever get to skirmish, and besides not allowed any more guns

  22. Welcome!
  23. Agreed there's not much need for any attachments to start with. There are already a few guides here on the forums I'd recommend searching for and reading, they're really useful for beginners and I wish I'd seen them before I started. I'd say get some camo clothing first. Any surplus stuff should be cheap (especially DPM) and clothing is quality as you'd expect. If you've got a generous budget you could search more for some different camouflage patterns and manufacturers but generally surplus is a good choice. After that, decent pair of boots are a worthwhile purchase. Of course don't forget good eye protection too, you don't want to lose your sight so buy a well known brand. Personally I'd aim to get some ballistic goggles such as ESS Wolf Spider / Desert Locusts / Smith Optics Boogie Regulators or custom mesh products by Heroshark. Again, I think there are probably guides on eyewear anyway (if not, might make one myself) In terms of plate carriers, cheapest you will probably get are either MFH or Condor. Both brands should be available from Military 1st. I don't think MFH is great quality, Condor is okay but not the best and will probably break after a while. There's also Flyye which are a Chinese company but their products are nice quality. However I think the cheapest plate carrier is the Fast Attack Plate Carrier for £70. For another £30 you could get a Warrior Assault Systems DCS Plate Carrier (CKinnerly on here did a review of one) for £105-£110 which is an excellent real steel mil-spec (military quality) system (and it's available in a load of camos to suit your loadout) available from UK Tactical. Chest rigs. Loads of choice, depending on budget. Bulle rigs are good (I have the MOLLE Recon Chest Harness) you can buy them from Flecktarn.co.uk. Condor ones are also pretty cheap (not sure how they compare to Bulle) There's also the Tactical Tailor Mini MAV which is very small but awesome for a lightweight loadout and just carrying essential sort of stuff. If you're after gloves, Mechanix are supposed to be excellent. I'm buying a pair soon but haven't used any yet. Hope I covered some things you were wanting to know and that it helps. Sorry for long post, I can post some links as well later if needed or you want some more inspiration or something.
