  1. Fair enough then. I may be getting mixed up truth be told. The PP Ts & Cs say they won't offer protection if an item breaches their own usage policy which specifically excludes firearms but doesn't mention RIFs specifically. It does however also say they won't cover anything that breaches Ebay policy which I believe excludes the sale of RIFs on ebay.co.uk. That said if the sale was outside of ebay then that clause wouldn't apply I guess? Was the sale you mention from a private individual or a business?
  2. Been looking at scopes for my new M14 EBR but big proper sniper scopes seem a bit overkill so I have been looking at Visionking Short Dot types. Can anyone recommend alternatives? Are the TAC Vector ones any good? Looking for something reasonably low magnification because let's face it, this is airsoft not The Deerhunter.
  3. I like the idea a lot. Always like trying to spot myself in pics when there is a photographer about on a game day, but then I am a massive tart.
  4. Worth remembering that PayPal won't cover you for buying rifs regardless of gift or standard payment.
  5. They'll give it different muzzle velocities. In theory the m100 should be around 328ish, the m90 a little less (290). Wildly variable in practice though.
  6. It's a decent enough basic starting point for a gun with a completely standard (ie a bit crappy) gearbox so that you know the rough ball park of where your FPS is going to end up but certainly very variable! Once you introduce airseal nozzles or a decent piston head or cylinder head, hell - even a new hop rubber and some decent grease in the gearbox - it all goes out the window and every gun is different!
  7. A well intentioned point but as suggested above unfortunately an M100 spring will give you a different FPS in pretty much every gun you put it in. Not to mention that not all M100 springs are created equal. Yes, it's a good starting point but as someone that has had upwards of 350 from an M90 I can tell you for sure that there is no hard and fast rule for the FPS you'll get from a spring!
  8. It's never that easy.
  9. Posties been! (Well...UPS man but you get the idea)
  10. I have one of their assault packs. Very decent for the money. Not Chinese crap.
  11. Can we get all his sales threads here locked? Seems this bloke is a serial scammer. He's got several items for sale now.
  12. ANyone know if an M14 mag will fit a 7.62 FastMag?

They do indeed. Used to run 7.62 dark earth fast magazine holsters when I had my G&P M14.

      Cool, cheers!

  13. The IMAX B6 DOES come with Tamiya connectors however it doesn't come with a mains plug (needs a 12V power supply. The one to get is the IMAX B6AC which has a built in power supply so has a mains lead (it can also be powered by 12V DC battery but not ONLY 12V).
  14. I was going to echo what BC said up there. Glad you got it sorted!
  15. No. Way too hot for me. Does your mask not have a nose piece already?
  16. To be honest unless you wear a full face mask you're ALWAYS going to get hit in that one tiny bit of unprotected skin. It's Sod's Law. As for the sweat thing? Yeah, I hear you. The buff WILL make you sweat like a paedophile in Mothercare purely because it's going to restrict airflow.
  17. There's certainly an amount of tacticool involved I'm sure but for many (I for one) it's more to do with comfort and ankle support. I'm not a big rufty tufty ex soldier so I don't have the fitness to not notice the weight of heavy boots nor do I use my boots enough to batter them into submission so they need to be light and flexible from the off. I used to use my old work Magnum Patrol safety boots but I found that whilst incredibly comfortable they got heavy by the end of the day (steel toecaps, see). hence I started doing the self same thing plenty of folks do and got sucked into the "must buy super leet Zephyr GTX nothing else will do" thing. Easily done really. Having said that at the time the only boots Viper were doing only came in multiglam (just not me) and decent Magnums have got expensive. So much so that when I managed to find a pair of Sawtooths on ebay from the US they weren't much pricier than a high end pair of Magnums over here.
  18. Pretty sure squaddies manage to do a bit of running about in them..... There's loads of lightweight walking style boots that get co-opted for military use and then spawn military versions (Lowa Zephyr springs to mind) but you didn't really give a limit on cost so it's difficult to suggest the right kind of thing really. Personally I use Merrel Sawtooths but they're like rocking horse poo these days and won't give you much change from £120 a pair. Do you need them to be waterproof for outdoor games or light and grippy for CQB?
  19. I agree. It doesn't matter if you're selling guns, coffee or corn flakes - customer service is still the same regardless of retail stream. Problem is that a lot of customers (of all shops) are actually utter clueless dicks. Try popping into your local independent record store sometime and see who is propping up the counter. No different than your average airsoft shop. You'll get a lot of Saturday browsers who will never actually buy anything but want to try every. Single. Thing! I am increasingly in agreement with an article I read on LinkedIn that basically stated that there's every possibility that if you get bad customer service it's actually because you're a bad customer! The big issue facing UK based bricks and mortar retailers is that UK customers don't actually understand the meaning of "cost of sale" and will repeatedly ask for discounts because they can "buy it cheaper online". Now I realise that in this day and age when money is tight people will do whatever they can to save a few quid. I've done it myself. But then I don't go straight into Socom at the weekend and bleat to Laurence about how much cheaper I got something than he would be able to sell it to me.
  20. If you like the fit and feel of Magnums there are much lighter versions out there. Also have a look at the Viper boots if you don't want to spend silly money!
  21. YAY! Just sold my TM SPAS12 :)

Sold it to a mate. Didn't really want to but just can't justify keeping it. I bought it when they first came out, it's almost mint nick and still has the original box too!

  22. This. But it could well be a Classic Army. What do the markings say on the fire selector? Is it three pictures of bullets or does it say S E F?
  23. Right. That's it. No more guns.....no really. Well, for now.

Nah mate, you need some muscles! :D

Only joking, I know it's going to be a bit weighty but I have plenty of guns to swap to if it gets a bit much. Plus....well, I like it.

  24. Cool. I grew up in Camberley, live in Basingstoke now. You should definitely come to the Malls!
  25. Blimey, trip hop has gone downhill since I stopped taking shitloads of drugs!
