If it's the original switch it WILL fail. They are crap. The maplin switch is about three quid, the gearbox is pretty easy to get out (there's disassembly videos on Youtube) and then the switch just unbolts - you don't even need to open the gearbox! The one thing you will need to do is cut down the arm on the new switch because it's way too long!

That one right there is what I run mine on. But then I don't use mine all day.... If you keep the current plastic handguard then you can fit a pretty hefty battery in but just be aware that if you fit the railed MK46 style handguards the space in the lower half dwindles pretty rapidly!

Best. Line. Ever. As others have said, try 0.25g. All plastic BB pellets will get blown off course, it goes with the territory but unless you have a spectacularly bad gun you should be able to use 0.25s just fine which will be better. As for guns - anyhting with a V2 or V3 gearbox will be supported for spares and internal upgrades. Just because a gun doesn't look like an M4 doesn't mean it won't have the same internals. Granted some guns have specific parts (AUGs for example have a different cylinder head) but don't let that put you off. Buy something YOU like.

You could get some Incentive Designs tracer mags. I have a couple and they're pretty good. Bright enough to see where you're firing but not as bright as a silencer type. Not always a bad thing.

Sorry but no, it's not entirely true. The point of a mosfet is to bypass the trigger contacts to improve trigger response and reduce wear on the contacts. You don't HAVE to be compatible with 11.1v LiPo to do that it's just that lots of people have got used to using them as a way of increasing trigger response. G&Gs argument is valid in that having uprated the wiring and fitted a Mosfet you DON'T need an 11.1v LiPo to drastically improve the trigger response.

Get a classic army magazine or one of the MAG soft pouch ones. The a&k ones are a bit poop. Tbb is a bit of a waste though. I've changed the trigger switch on mine (maplin v3 anti tamper switch) as it was sticking when I got mine. I run it on a 7.4 Lipo with a burst wizzard mosfet to give me single shot for using at the malls. Mine has a blue (presumably Madbull) hop rubber fitted by the previous owner but I'm thinking of changing to a ca hop unit with the hsa nub and adjuster because the a&k one does three parts of F-all!

If you're deadset on an MP5 there's the G&G TGM A5 which comes with a railed front end or you could just buy a normal one and add a railed handguard (plenty of them about). The UMG is a great gun but it does have some limitations (mags can be a pain to find, non adjustable stock). You could go for a compact assault rifle like the CYMA CM045 (AKS 74U) of which there are three different versions (wood grips, plastic grips or a railed handguard). Taiwangun have them cheap or if you don't want the hassle of importing then Socom Tactical are now selling them. Or there's P90's. The G&G one is nice (has an FPS adjustment screw in the stock so no need to change springs to fine tune FPS).
