  1. Definitely correct the AoE. It's an easy job and cheap on parts. The sorbo pad will protect your bearbox and getting it right will extend the life of your piston/gears. More worthwhile than a couple of extra inches on your barrel length that's for sure. Be aware that it will drop your FPS by up to 10fps ish so take that into account when choosing your spring.
  2. Yep. Nail, head. Of course if you get the CYMA anything beyond a new (lower power) spring will still cost less than the difference to a new TM leaving more spare money to spend on magazines/pouches/tactical frippery.
  3. Not worth the cost/hassle. I'd suggest you get the gun, try it and upgrade what actually NEEDS upgrading rather than just what some bloke who says he's an expert on the internet says (voice of experience by the way, I've spent so much on things that other people have said would make a huge difference but when it came to it made sod all difference at all) It's actually a pretty accurate gun straight out of the box.
  4. Why do you think you need to extend the barrel anyway? It's plenty long enough as it is.
  5. Didn't think the recon rigs were out yet. How is it?
  6. Yep. He's massive. Makes him an easy target mind you... Lovely bloke though.
  7. Same problem I'm having! Not only is the G&P one expensive it's also out of stock everywhere and I believe they've actually stopped making them. I know from a couple of real steel shooting websites that a Madbull Gemtech Halo type will work but again, pricey and hard to find!
  8. If you try to go longer on the barrel you'll need a suppressor to hide it.
  9. Errrmmm...maybe. I don't honestly know. Depends where you want to get to. I assume you've had a look at this: http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/43-longrange-aegs/892-holy-grail-building-your-dmr-aeg.html
  10. Yes and no. With a spring upgrade then definitely. Mine was chrono'd at 350 with zero hop (dropped about 10fps with the hop on). It's a clone of the TM design so parts are readily available.
  11. You should try the malls at reading. Cqb but great fun.
  12. I recently bought that very gun from tg. Is nice, I like.
  13. I'm friends with him on fb, he doesn't get to play all that much. He is hitting the gym again though. Apparently his wife thought he'd lost too much bulk!
  14. Or maybe, just maybe a lot of people haven't had the same level of issues you have had. I'm not blowing smoke up your arse here, I know nothing in this world is perfect but there's plenty of people out there using t4-18s with no problems at all.
  15. Too much. I always take too much.
  16. CQB - you're doing it wrong.
  17. Seriously though, if you want something a little more "artistic" give me a shout. It's kinda my thing.
  18. You want flames and boobies! :-)
  19. Hi, I'm from sunny (well today at least) Basingstoke! Thunder Ranch is now a Gunman site only (they tend to do more milsim/filmsim stuff). http://www.gunmanairsoft.co.uk/gunman_airsoft_sites_eversley.php
  20. I've never been to Reykjavik. Doesn't mean it isn't there.
  21. Try www.componentshop.co.uk, they should have plenty of stock. FPS isn't changed by the battery but the trigger response may well improve going from a nimh to a LiPo. - DAMMIT, Ninja'd
  22. Pretty sure that gun has a moulded on front sight, doesn't it?
  23. Let's just set things straight: the G&G hop up isn't bad, neither is the TM motor. What we're saying is that its possibly not as good as you've been led to believe. If it's making a decent RoF, don't panic. Address the actual issues first, namely - where is all the compression getting out? As I said earlier it may even just be a badly fitted or knackered hop rubber.
  24. Personally I'd have the SAW back unless the M4 can be made to work reliably and is EPIC. There's plenty of "custom M4" builds out there that just don't warrant the price tag that the sellers seem to want. I could certainly never make back the money I spent doing up mine (certainly over £400) because at the end of the day, it's still just an M4.
