  1. Anything currently issued probably will be fine. The ESS, Revision etc stuff is all stanag rated and as such is way higher spec then EN166.
  2. Buy some thread lock. Probably just the screw come loose and undid itself.
  3. Trademarks don't always mean it's not a clone. I've got plenty of cloned magpul stuff with all the right logos. I know people do spend £150 on a handguard for a £100 gun but there's not too many of them about...
  4. If you can find a pair on eBay for a sensible price get the turbofan goggles and an rx insert. Seriously. As a formerly fat airsofter I know your pain! (was 18.5st)
  5. "combat machine" is a range of guns made specifically by G&G.
  6. They're only worth that much if they're genuine CAA parts which they probably aren't (there's plenty of cheap Chinese copies out there).
  7. Honestly? Contact lenses. If that's not an option the glasses aren't as safe. Fact. The V12s don't fog too badly if you open them up and also take the foam dust filter off the frame. Personally I now use the ICE for going to chrono and a pair of ess profile turbofan goggles for games. But I sweat like a paedophile in mothercare.
  8. I stand corrected. There is a newer design that fits both. Mine is an X shape that clips in top and bottom on the V12s. The newer vice or p2b inserts apparently fit both. One of them also fits the nvg goggles.
  9. If it helps, I have the rx insert for my v12s and it certainly doesn't fit in my ICE glasses.
  10. Unless they've changed the design then they're definitely different.
  11. Unless they've changed the design then they're definitely different.
  12. Just be aware that it's NOT the same Rx insert for the ICE and V12s.
  13. Just make sure you have a damned good explanation for the customs guys if you try and bring RS gun parts into the UK...
  14. CHOOOOONNN!!!!!!! Bonus points if you know which film based corporation inspired the title of the song....
  15. I don't even care about K/D when I'm playing Battlefield!
  16. Blimey....I think I've just sold my house!

Good news does that mean you can go out to play at the weekend now?

Seems estate agents don't communicate well. House not sold. Displeasure ably communicated by myself.

Let's try that one again then shall we?

  17. That's what we in the know call "bullshit". If you had internals made of carbon steel which was coated with grease then you could conceivably argue that the alcohol would strip the grease away which would (eventually) allow corrosion to take place, however you would also need the internals of the gun to be damp coupled with the fact that if you strip all the lubricant from the inner workings of your AEG it'll grind to a halt WAY before it goes rusty. Also - your barrel does NOT need to be lubricated. Clean it with isopropyl alcohol by all means but keep it dry and polished and you'll be absolutely fine.
  18. On a standard day using assault rifles I'm the same. Barely 500 or so but this weekend the M249 came out to play and suppressed the living crap out of...well everything.
  19. Depends. If you're OK with running up and down flights of stairs in the pitch black, getting lost and totally gagglefucked at every corner, doorway and corridor.....then yes. I love it but then I know my way around It's a great site and it IS unique. But it's not for everyone.
  20. I've been using them, pretty good so far. I was going to use an expletive riddled comment in response to the OP but having spunked about 4000 rounds downrange on Sunday with the SAW I can kind of see the point. Of course if it was through an assault rifle then he needs to try aiming.
  21. Depends how "safe" you want to be. Any cheap replica will stop BBs but none of them are any "safer" than a cheap cycle helmet. If that's OK for you then I would suggest getting an FMA one from ebay (the Emerson ones are not as nice). If on the other hand you actually want one that'll properly save your head from a decent bump then you're into real ones and they cost a crapping fortune!
  22. JG would be a better bet, they'll be cheaper plus Ares don't have a great reputation for reliability.
