People like trotting donkey are the reason people come to Airsoft sadly, The calibre of people could be questioned I think. Lefties, righties or middlies it’s much of a muchness for me. Sensible people can see that law abiding Airsoft players arent going to turn into criminals or at least the vast majority aren’t. The problem is the vocal fringe that seem to control the headlines and scaremonger because clearly they aren’t out shooting pews at each other and having fun.

I think the health aspect is a really good point. Certainly makes cardio exercise much more fun.

I was thinking about this subject today. As a sport how does it attract new players on to the field? What can existing players do to attract people that might not otherwise be interested in a day running through a muddy field getting shot. What can event organisers do to increase footfall. Some of use bring friends and family along however how do we as community get to people who wouldn’t normally consider spending a day shouting “hit”. My first big reason I think inhibits people is the price. Rentals are expensive and then buying kit as we all know can be balance busting. I’m interested to find out mainly just out of curiosity.

I would argue your question implies that you are trying to find a way to circumvent the established rules. I simply care about a hobby that as we have seen in other countries as been banned quite simply because some people don’t care about the legalities. You asked and questions and the answers were provided. Because they don’t match what you wanted to hear there is no need to be rude. Members here have worked hard to stay within the rules so if you expect anyone to tell you a cheat to buy a rif I suspect you are looking in the wrong place. My point simple was the rules are there for a reason, are they perfect of course not. However we have to make sure was responsible rif owners to show we can say within the rules and laws.

For my 5 pence worth, although the current system it could be argued isn’t the best it is something and it’s recognised. When I was reenacting I had all the insurances and memberships but I could only ever buy rifs that corresponded to the time period I was portraying. My quite brutal answer would be if you can’t make time to play frequently then maybe Airsoft isn’t for you.
