  1. Look for some foam. Furniture restoration places usually have a variety of off cuts which would big enough.
  2. If you have the money the warhead should be one to consider but if funds are more limited then I'd atick to the ifrit motors, they are usually solid performers.
  3. I haven't seen any riser that are 5mm lift but I have found risers with a difference of 5mm ish. It my be cas eof lifting then both to greater or lesser degree. Ant suppliees was where I saw the riser and utg do a range too, some very minimalist riser sections.
  4. I have one of the nuprol cases, it's not bad but it's no peli or hardigg case. I have the wave foam padding in mine and it carries my tr16 308 easily along with a pistol and the approriate mags. If i took the mags out or cut a section out for mags then a second rif would fit too. And the wheels help with the weight but they don't work too well on gravely surfaces.
  5. I occasionally play with a bandolier type kit and having a molly panel on thin straps I gave it up, just became uncomfortable, then I found the 5.11 sling bags. Now I have a sling back and, which I use daily and doubles as a bandolier for game use. Its great, I slip mags into the internal pouches and the pistol carry slot is easy to draw from.
  6. I've been wearing claw gear trousers for while and found then to be really good. I've even transitioned my work wear from snickers etc to the clawgear. Raider and operator versions should booth meet your criteria, and number of pockets is less of an issue in the raider as they all lay flat. Operator version has less pockets overall
  7. Lowa, altberg, etc. Salomon too. I'd start with a good outdoor retailer and go from there as best bet is to try a few types on, see what fits well. Everybody has different shape feet and feet change shape as the day goes on so try to do your trying for fit in the afternoon.
  8. It's possible g&g do make a 416 style rif and the tr16 gearbox which stops on empty can be purchased as a standalone unit and dropped in. The 308 series and the 556 varient all use a standard v2 box pattern with the addition of the the on empty if youbuse the appropriate magazines
  9. Those connections aren't specifically for one type of torch but for a pair of units. For example, peq and a white light independently running. Wadsn switch so you should be able to get the appropriate lights and lasers from them too.
  10. I hope it uses the current aap lower. If it does I'll have one.
  11. I started wearing contacts when I had issues with work eye pro, and if you can get in with them they are much better.
  12. Pictures will help a lot, but it sounds like it's sitting a touch low or a bit long. Make sure the plates are just below the point your collar bones meet the centre of your chest and lift the cummerbund to bring it up so the bottom edge doesn't drop too far below the bottom rib on your side (lowest curve of the rib)
  13. the ambi bolt catch often has to come out if the shell with the gear box, i know mine does. make sure you have everything else off and out, including pin on the side paddle and the bolt release on the cover side the lift the gearbox up and out and the paddle should lift with it.
  14. I sure geoffs did a sample bag set at one point. So you could get smaller samples of heavier weights to try then go from there
  15. I've done the battle sim days at anzio. The jist of the day is that once the brief safety brief is done then the scenario which the objectives are based around is given and then objectives through out the day are posted via a teams HQ, although it's not always the respawn points as these are often located elsewhere, and as such can be used as objectives/taken and held etc. In terms of the day. Once it starts it doesn't stop for breaks or lunch, so it's up to you to eat/drink in the game area or return to the safe zone. I've found it a better day when teams have taken breaks in the field and have a drink/take break within the game area, so are never out of play but obviously that's down to the players on the day. I've played those days as both dmr and aggressive bolt action support (snipe but not Bush wookie) as well as assault/cqb and it works well either way for me bt I would say to wear a watch or have the ability to know the time with you. Objectives are often time based, eg your have x time until x happens or to capture a point. Which I felt was a great idea to stop things getting too stick if one team players decide to take an hour off for lunch.
  16. For the gear box in general, I've never had an issue precocking, however it does mean your spring will be compressed for an increased amount of time so its life span will be reduced slightly. If you don't decompress it after a game day then this fps loss over time will be dramatically shorter.
  17. Glad you found the issue and that a solution is in the making. The last re wire I did I used the wire have in an ethix silicone wire selection box for building fpv quads. Quality is good and you get a few guages which worked well in the rif
  18. If you have a multi meter I'd check the wiring loom on the motor as well as the physical connection tabs. It could be something as simple as you pinched a cable and broken the wire, or the spade isn't staying put when the grip gets closed up. If all is fine until the base plate goes on then start at the base of the motor and connections and work your way up as the perun yellow code is for motor connection not gearbox jam, which is a blinking red light usually.
  19. Ask perun when they repair it what fault is. The fault/failure may be a good guide as to where to look for the the cause.
  20. Well done for carrying in with the day a fair few would have called it quits. I know one of the site I play at says anyone using bolt actions or dmr fps limits has to be body up to the window of buildings, to try and limit the chances of things like this.
  21. Post up on how you find it. It's so temptingly odd.
  22. Not seen these before ut I looks like the ump and masada had some kind of offspring..... I kind of like it and I'm not sure why.
