Generally its fine but that's a loaded question. It would depend on the aeg in question. The lipo will only give what the system demands and in worst case scenario, die trying. Some manufacturers think its okay to use the battery as the limiting factor and recommend batteries with low 'C' ratings so the battery suffer voltage drop and keep running rather than burning out poor quality components.

Overspin / double-firing on semi with 11.1v
concretesnail replied to Rogerborg's topic in Electric Guns
A friend of mine has just fitted one o these and is over the moon with the performance. He's just made the jump to 11.1 as well. Active brake should fix the over spin, the setting would be dependant on the system but the instructions are easy to follow. -
If its from ak2m4 then its worth asking. I'd still look at the mag spring for the mags which have an issue as you already said all the other midcaps feed and fire fine and that uts just the 200rnd ones that don't. I seem to recall people that have the large midcap pts mags having similar issues, just too much pressure. I know I have zci barrels and maple leaf rubbers in nearly all my rifs and use nothing but mid and low cap mags.

It might be foxed with a new tappet spring, or cutting a loop or two from the spring you have in already, to tighten it up and put more tension on the nozzle. But If you try not filling the mags completely and the issue resolves then I'd look to either bind or clip the magazine spring if it's a magazine that's already had significant use. If however it's a new magazine I'd try filling it completely, and leaving it a while, then trying again as the time spent under compression will take some if the strength out of it.

It should fit, though it might me worth having a look at ak2m4.co.uk They usually have standalone shells and if you retain the components from your current box it'd be cheaper and make changes that you want to.

vertical foregrips with pressure switch housing
concretesnail replied to blocks1's topic in General Discussion
I've had grips with sections of relief in them for tape switches to sit in, mostly vertical grips and bipod types. in the end I've given up on them, the angle is never quite right for my hand positions or length of fingers. I started using heat shrink or tape on better grips and more recently I picked up some sectional elastic sleeves and they have been great. -
As you mentioned don't opt for a clone. One of the fpv guys I fly with opened a clone up out curiosity and it wasn't a good thing to seeing long that people are buying these and then charging large lipos with them. If your looking at a new charger I'd suggest looking at hobby shops. I use hobbyrc.co.uk a lot and the customer service has always been great. They stock sky rc and idst chargers, both of which are solid and worth a look.

What is reasonable wear and tear for an airsoft RIF?
concretesnail replied to AirSniper's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Having been through a very similar situation recently, with John Lewis and a vr headset thermal shutdown issue, I wish you best of luck. Just make sure you have everything in writing and record calls where it can't be done via email. -
G&g do a metal mag for 308 range, if you want that sr25 look. Not cheap though. https://www.surplusstore.co.uk/manufacturers/g-g/g-g-g2h-308-metal-magazine-100rd-mid-cap.html

I've mixed capacity before as the packs are the same cell count but don't mix cell counts (different total voltage). If all your packs are resting at the same voltage then its OK. For a good guide it's worth having a run through videos by Joshua Bardwell as a good guide. If you do decide that it's not for you then I'd look at a multipack charger. Skyrc and isdt both do a good duel charger, it's effectively two chargers sharing a psu, but you can set each one separately.
-
I use them for flight batteries and they can be used safely. Do some reading around parallel charging lipos, then decide if it's for you. If all you batteries are the same then its easier.

There's the g&g 308 range with a range of models all having different barrel lengths

I picked up one of this sellers protectors the other day, for a light, and the quality is good.

Good stuff tends not too be.

If its been sat about might have been dry orings bleeding air. Cycles through some lube and re-seated and sealed up so carry on. Glad you got sorted.

Streamlight do make some good stuff. Have a wander over to tactical waffles. Site is minimal but the chap who runs it often has high end light setups for sale on a discord thread I'm on so I'd give him a shout via the contact point on the site.

That's unfortunate, I'd agree with nick, start at the hop and air seal then work your way back. It's unlikely that a it's going tongain performance from nowhere, much more likely that's an issue being hidden by spring weight that occasionally works effectively.

Fitting an M4 stock to a fixed buffer tube M16
concretesnail replied to RostokMcSpoons's topic in General Discussion
You'll need an aeg buffer tube with mounting hardware, then you'll likely have to cut down the mounting tube to match the length required in the buffer tube or make a spacer. You'll also need an aeg sling plate to seal the back of the receiver and guide the wiring into the tube. Ak2m4.co.uk is a good place to start for buffer tube, they had some with hardware included. -
Yes, I've just done it with my 308. It foes require some cutting and additional/alternate parts, shot me a pm or make a new thread it's not a quick question thing.
-
Finally got where it wants to be I think. Custom rail and folding stock, pts stock and grip red light and tracer in the suppressor. Padded 5.11 sling and magpul 7.62 pulls

Like the other voices here, I am showing the signs of joyful abuse of the body over the years. Multiple reconstruction surguies has taught me there is no substitute for continuous conditioning. I started, many moons ago, using a program called romwod, range of movement worked on daily, it's an Internet based video program of daily stretches and holds for strength and conditioning and its been great. It instantly helped me and I find it easier to fit in than classes, gym, etc. On days where I know I'm going to pushing it activity wise I use compression garments, company called skin makes the ones I like. And a recovery paste made by climbon (It amazing but not the cheapest). Like you i dont want to give up what I enjoy for age.

Cursed gun: inconsistent shots untill it "heats" up
concretesnail replied to Baff's topic in Electric Guns
You could try a work around/test by binding the base of the spring in the mid caps. Compression a few coils and the wire them together, you'll loose some capacity but find a coil count that works for your need feeding pressure and then cut raw springs to that number of coils. -
Cursed gun: inconsistent shots untill it "heats" up
concretesnail replied to Baff's topic in Electric Guns
If the braking isn't an issue something else is affecting how the nozzle seats when the piston drops. I'd look change the maxx units out for something else and also look to change the spring that pushes the hop unit back to the gearbox. It could be combination of things like the feed tube slightly lifting the hop away or spring not strong enough or long enough to reseat the hop chamber
