  1. I used devil blasters in the past but moved over to Geoffs and been on thenm ever since.
  2. Emergencychimps has hit the nail straight on the head. Fit is everything. I'd spend in footware much readily than the latest kit, and a good pair will last and be versatile so you can wear them more.
  3. Glad you enjoyed the lower round count and reloading. A habit I began when playing gbbr was to drop a bag in the respawn area with a collection of magazines. Rather than refilling the empties, for a quicker turnaround, drop the empties and load up in the full ones. It's still something I do now when playing with aeg low caps. It's a lovely convenience.
  4. Ares g36. Still going and used as a back up/ loan rifle.
  5. I'd second the loud and proud approach. I often run my bolt action with an mp9. I don't have the thigh holster but a molle catch mounted to the rail keeps it hooked to me. It great for closing and clearing buildings to acquire a position to snipe from.
  6. There is space for a few more, at least a couple.
  7. If its a printed part you should be able to get it printed with the sleeve that slides over tail from the receiver extended to the depth you need. If you're not albe to do that. Then I'd grab a hacksaw and trim the receiver to suit.
  8. I'd bet that it's just connector for the battery wiring to get through the stock tube. As a fair few aeg don't use the tube threads to connect to the receiver. The tube slides over a support post with a small hole for the wires but not big enough for the tamiya connector to get through. Like g&g use spade connectors.
  9. If you want to purchase then you should be able to find an what you want via Google. Search xt to tamiya and that should get you half way. The you'd need to check the tamiya positive connections as most will likely be for the RC market and the polarities of the tamiya connector could be backwards. You'd need to pop the pins from the connector and swap them over to match the battery.
  10. Cut the tamiya off and swap it for an xt connector, do the same for the rif. If you're not confident/able to do this yourself I'm sure there would be somebody local(ish) to you who would be.
  11. I've just come across this, the g&g ak12 or gk12 as it labeled, and on paper looks as if it could be good; Steel bodied, actual quick change spring, mosfet and stop on empty. Steel and stop on empty has me very interested but I'd be also like to know of anyone has any experience of ak12 platforms regards handguard etc as there's lots a out for other ak platforms but I've not seen any for the 12?
  12. I've used them and they are great, if you have the pouches for them or a dump pouch to drop them into. If I'm doubling mags I tend to go for a belt style setup so they sit on a hip rather than in front or a bailout bag depending on event.
  13. Try it and see how it feels, though it'd be worth doing over a few games or events to get a real feeling for it.
  14. I'd cut them off and extend the wiring to get into the stock, then decide on what connector to use. personally I prefer xt type connections.
  15. Depends on the day, personally I'd rather have the low cap and work for it. It just "feels" better.
  16. If you get lucky some of the kydex style holster might work as it's m9 based. But failing that I have used my warrior universal holster with my m9 for years and its been great.
  17. I'd forgotten about the aap, could be a good shout. Glock based parts and a lot of body kits about if you want that customised look.
  18. It's a mistake I nearly made when buying mine ;). Had an rpc in the end and it's great.
  19. The covert doesn't have clips, it's a smooth front and the straps from the pathfinder are retained. There is hook panel on the back which helps it to hold still.
  20. Dmr wise there area good few options out there but I'd stick with something that is in a 'dmr' calibre as some site require that it look the part. I used a g&g 308 as I wanted a dmr calibre magazine and the gearbox is a standard v2 when it comes to parts. Perun also make a drop in mosfet which adds useful features. As for the pistol, something that is reliable is a must as you could be using it frequently, not just to clear corners and structures. I'd be looking at TM first as they work solidly out of the box and the plastic slides means they are usually gas efficient. Personally I use an m&p9
  21. The pathfinder rig is fine if you only want to run stanag mags but if you fancy a change at some point you might be better off looking at rigs that use an insert system or a plate carrier that uses placards sp pouches can be changed. If you go for plate carrier it's certainly worth paying for a better one over clones and cheapest ad they carry and spread loads better and vent heat better. I have a warrior rpc and love it. I do run weighted plates in it. I do have both plate carrier and chest rigs and they both have their place. Think about how you want it to function and what you want fit wise. Something like the ops minimo could be a good start and if you want a plate carrier then the placard system is interchangeable.
  22. Answers to be found at the bottle of the bottle.
  23. Natural wear, that way the wear pattern will be in the areas you manipulate the rif and how you use it. If you want to speed up the process do some drills and play in very textured gloves.
