Attached are a few pictures. The BCG with the valve installed and where it sits to get my desired FPS.

I also maxed it and crono'd some rounds to give an idea of the max fps of this 4.5 valve. To get the variables out of the way, this is standard TM BCG (except for springs), 6.03 370mm barrel, Modify tan rubber, CNC'd hop arm with some hop applied. Mag was probably half full.

    IMG_20200728_105004.thumb.jpg.41a1c15aa042bc649e547cc62401e759.jpg

That is really consistent! my RA silver NPAS manages +/- 6fps and after 10 shots it really drops due to mag cool down.

Got my AEG +/- 1fps but pretty sure a GBBR won't do that (or need to)

Just tested it and on 0.28g it is between 278 and 290fps (one outlier at 294fps, so still under site limit)

DP lightweight bolt, AG nozzle, DP springs and the RA NPAS almost all the way closed. Modify Tan bucking hopping 0.32g and a Crazy Jet 250mm barrel. No idea on bore as previous owner installed it.

have trouble getting propane in mine mag

I tried those with my AI propane adaptor and MWS mags....still didn't fill them :(

Gave up and spent the £££ I would have thrown away "solving" the problem buying green gas in bundles :)

Hey man, could you please kindly send a few pics of the set up of this gearbox? I just want to get an idea of how to wire it and keep it neat. This looks like what I’m looking for.

The two signal wires exit the gearbox in the same place as the old trigger wires (front LH side) and go straight up the left hand side of the gearbox shell to the top of the shell and under the cable keeper bit of the gearbox top cover thing and to the MOSFET. They are covered in green heatshrink in the photo below as they are quite thin gauge.

Motor-to-Deans wires fit exactly the same as the old ones. They are the ones to the rear next to the 5585EX sticker. I went for thicker gauge silicone wire and measured them up carefully before adding the spade connectors and male Deans plug.

If I get time I'll strip it down to get photos but it is a bit of a ball ache TBH.

Tried fitting the Magpul extended mag release yesterday to no avail...

The threads on the TM catch are obviously different, and wouldn't go on.

I'm pretty sure I have seen photos of guys with these fitted however. Is it a case of using a genuine mag release catch?

I have an airsoft spec one that I don't use (left handed so kept dropping mags when slinging the weapon!) let me see if I can dig it out :)

That's the sort of thing a panel that can take a variety of pouch options.

Looks like a good option. Postage makes it a dearer option. I haven't been able to find any in the UK.

I did find that warrior do a vertical molle panel now.

Tactical Kit stock Axl stuff but not that part, guess they might look at stocking some in the future, you could always drop them an email.

    Hi guys,

Just a quick NPAS question. I am fitting an NPAS to the DMR MWS and after stripping the BCG and removing the stock valve, I dropped the RA-Tech NPAS in with its return spring in place. When I push it forwards with a screw driver (from the back of the valve) it gets stuck in the nozzle due to a tight fit. I removed it and measured the diameter with digital callipers.

The diameter of the original TM valve was 6.98mm however the NPAS measures at 7.30 so there lies the problem. It’s just too fat.

has anyone else seen this and do you have to sand it down to fit better? I worry about creating air leaks if I start sanding down the outside diameter!

I had this issue (before I finally tracked down the black one that drops straight in!) All I did was use some fine grit wet&dry and clamping the NPAS in the drill chuck *carefully* sanded it down. Go slow and keep checking the diameter!

  8. This is a NanoHARD mosfet with a 11.1v Li-Ion in the gas tube as far as it will go 😁

Carefully measured out the new motor wires and laid it out on the gearbox shell to make sure. Leads on the battery were shortened a bit too as I was swapping them to Deans anyway.

NanoHard had all the features I wanted but the WarFet looks really good. Gun is a loaner / Milsim OPFOR / messing about so it does the job. Snappy even on a 7.4v and active brake works well. Nice to know the trigger contacts won't burn out either!

@SSPKali would be a complete splurge but ive always lusted for a noisy CQB AK...

    https://www.evike.com/products/39816/

In my eyes i "should" have enough CQB guns, what with pistol, mp5 and now shotgun, but you always need a backup... for the backup right?

If you want noisy CQB I would recommend a TM MP7 GBB with a SoundHog on it....sounds like a 22 rimfire when I tested in the garden, will be even louder inside 😈

  10. There is a user on an airsoft chat server called Jubjub, from South Yorkshire, but they claim to be an airsoft n00b so possibly not the same one.

UPDATE Seems this is NOT the same person, just an unfortunate username!

  11. Anyone tried the TM pistol mag sized speed loader with MWS magazines?

I have the TM XL one and it works great but want a small one to carry in the field for those busy games 😁 I have tried my Nuprol one and only managed to spray BBs all over the floor.

  12. Just bought a Cyma CM045 AKS-74U with wood furniture and canvas sling :) I had the tactical one and it was a beast of a gun (especially with a few upgrades!) and I regret selling it. It easily shot TF guys at the top of the Copehill Down tower (sHoRt bArElLs cAn"T sHoOt fAr dErRp....) and was the best CQB I have used ergonomics wise (don't let my MP7A2 hear that!)

Plan is to turn this into a weathered AK as you might find leaning against a shack wall in Afghanistan, but make the performance a little better :) Internally I have a Gate NanoHARD, G&G Green rubber and some gearbox shims to add, it will be running off a 11.1v LiPo and using steel 125rd mags. The ultimate sleeper gun / bad guy loadout / loaner / backup to my GBBs

Next purchase will be ANOTHER gun case 🤪

Just ordered some of these rail covers for same rail because they are very cool.  How hard was it to get the rail over the barrel nut on yours? Mine took about 3-4 million pounds per square inch of pressure plus wiggling to get on our off probably due to using the wrong tool on the nut!

Mine slid on fine with zero play, possibly the finest tollerences I have seen for a while! I added some good quality grease so I have a hope in hell of removing it at some point in the future.

You will love the rail covers, if you ordered from Brownells don't expect them to be with you before 2weeks after order, I think Customs / ParcelFarce are a bit busy!
