  1. Wrong. Right...But then wrong. I want to make love to it. Tactical BAR could carry my babies any day. Add Tactical Winchester and I've got the perfect threeway. Assuming Sibel Kekilli and Natalie Dormer from Game Of Thrones aren't up for it...
  2. Bitch please! My woman does as she's told! Ain't no woman gonna tell me what to do with my money! ... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NEVER TELL HER I SAID THAT OR SHE'LL BEAT ME AGAIN. ... Seriously though, as long as I keep most of my junk in my man-cave I can do whatever I want...
  3. BACK FROM THE DEAD. POW. Over the last months at work, I've had a customer who refuses to pay his bill (I work at a storage center). Increasingly, he's been a nob to me, despite my best efforts to help him out of the deep hole he's got himself into. Today, he finally decided to try and pay his bill (although not the late charges and admin fees he owes, and even then, only half his bill anyway) whilst giving me some more abuse. I got to enjoy the look of despair on his face when I told him half his stuff had been sold for approximately £2000 and the rest had been crushed and then incinerated. I also got to enjoy him flipping out on the phone to his lawyer, because the stuff was worth over £35,000 to him and his company and his bill was only £2700. After that, I got to enjoy his lawyer telling him it was all his fault and that we had every right to go to debt collection for the remaining £700. The lesson? If you entrust someone with £35,000 worth of gear, and owe them £2700 for looking after it. Don't piss them off 'cause they have all the cards. Usually, I wouldn't bask in the joyous aura created by the misery of others, but this man deserves it and it goes some way to making up for the fact that my job is sh*t.

Unfortunately, as a gentleman, it'd be wrong of me to kiss and tell. But what I will say is this. If you're unhappy because your thread got closed, it helps to ask WHY and to ask for a chance to fix what you did wrong. Being a nob just charges my banhammer.

  6. I'm definitely being won over by the 'avoid-eBay' group here, largely because the eBay computer suddenly doesn't seem so competitively priced. Now, looking at what's been said about budget, and once again excusing my computer-noobery, lets take for example, The Sims 3 - this being one of my favorite games of all time. How would the spec you offered come in on-budget run it in comparison to a spec based on me spending £600? I'm going to have to save up for two or three months either way so for the right performance could be convinced I need to spend a bit more wherever I buy from in the end...
  7. As per the title, I need some computer related help. It's no secret that AFUK is 50% Airsoft, 50% Geekaphilia-Miscelaneous, so I'm sure someone will spread some light on the issue for me. Long story short, I wish to purchase a computer. The primary purpose of the aforementioned mystery-machine will be gaming. When I say gaming, I mean old games, for example, the newest thing it needs to run is probably The Sims 3. I basically want it to run all the older games that PS3 never got, or got but just weren't as good as their PC counterparts, so being able to powerf*ck the life out of Call Of Duty 36: Advanced Modern Combat Ghost Warfare Unicorn-Ops, is not needed. What I DO want though, is for it to run the games I do want to play pretty much flawlessly, with high graphics enabled. None of this blocky, 1 frame-per-second, freeze-unfreeze-freeze shite I get on my laptop. I am Finius, hear me roar. I demand BETTER. Budget is a big issue. Because I don't play 'modern' games a lot (that's what I bought a console for) I don't want to spend more than a months rent on the thing. And that includes EVERYTHING from the actual tower, to windows through to peripherals and monitors. I just want to have it arrive, mysteriously and watch as it cleverly unpacks itself, sorts itself out and have everything I need to molest the papacy in their naughty spot on Medieval Total War 2. As such, I want to spend £525 tops. So far, I've only really looked on eBay and the item peaking my interest is this fellow: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Goblin-3-90GHz-Quad-Core-8GB-1TB-DVDRW-22-Monitor-Fast-Windows-7-Gaming-PC-/281320444703?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item418001531f What I need to know AF-UK, is what all the fancy numbers mean and whether anyone has any observations on the deal as a whole - I'm VERY out of tune with which graphics cards are decent etc, and my knowledge of the market at present, is that when it comes to processor, ram, graphics and hard-drive, the bigger the numbers, the better. I don't know my 2GB AMD Radeon HD 8570D HD 1080p from my 42GB Pope-f*cker HD 234567U HD 1310800p. I bow to your superior knowledge AF-UK, enlighten me. Alternative suggestions welcome, however I'm not willing to stick my winky in anyone for cash (or vice versa) so to budget por favor. AF-UK, hear my call.
  8. Simple answer: yes, they're the same. Long answer: When entering into a sale or trade, you're creating a contract. A contract is formed by two parties each paying the other 'consideration', this consideration can be any item of value to either party (there are other things that form a contract, but those aren't important). So, in a normal sale, party A might offer a gun as consideration, and party B will offer currency. In a trade, the only difference is that party B changes what their consideration physically is to goods or services instead of currency. Hope that makes sense...
  9. It'll be overpriced and the internals will be made of cheese... So it'll still be better than most guns made by ARES...
  10. Done gone and upset the dog!

  11. Can't be worse than the tactical Thomson!
  12. You're totally, one hundred percent safe from any sort of legal recourse here. For so many reasons that it's not worth me going into. Just don't start sanding it off/removing it on purpose, unless the gun is already an RIF.
  13. Eye-Pro Pro-Tip: If you have to ask if it's safe, the answer is no. If you're not one-hundred and ten percent positive that they're right for you, don't touch them with a s**tty stick. You only get one pair of peepers.
  14. Does anyone have any interest in purchasing a working, but SEVERELY battered TM AK47 (ex-rental), a WE G19, an ICS Mp5 or my RICAS? Considering clearing out everything but my M4...

  15. So there I am, caving in to my insatiable appetite for manliness, watching the first episode of Game Of Thrones Season 4, and I'm all like 'nothings happening' then, out of nowhere MOTHERF**KING ARYA STARK IN YO FACE.

  16. So I decided to go down the MTG route, for a few reasons; first and foremost because the local gaming club has a much bigger MTG following than any other cardgame. I've also been playing a lot of hearthstone recently and the gameplay seems quite similar. Now I've decided to go down the route Frizzle suggested though for actually getting myself established. I've picked up an M14 Core Intro Pack (the green one because it seems to match my overall play-style with anything strategic - something along the lines of smash, then, if that doesn't work, smash more), I'm still waiting on this to arrive but I'm expecting good things! And a D20 life counter thing (called a 'spindown' but I'm not sure why) I've also picked up the M14 Deckbuilders Toolkit, which HAS arrived, and I am painfully impressed. Presentation is lovely, cards are excellent quality and for less than £15, I've got 285 cards, which are split fairly evenly between the colours/types of card etc. The plan is to use the 60 card intro deck to learn, as it is, with no cards changed. As I get more confident, I'll swap out the cards I like least from the deck with my favorite equivalents from the toolkit/any boosters I pick up, with a view, eventually to completely building my own deck. I'm going to actually pop into the local store tomorrow to check things out and will hopefully pop along for my first game next week... Now just to explain to the misses that I have another new, expensive, geeky hobby...
  17. Anyone here play any CCG/TCG? I've just discovered I have a local games club who cover everything from the well know games like Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and MTG, all the way through to obscure games fresh off of things like Kickstarter etc. and, being the MASSIVE nerd that I am, I feel like having a throw. Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these sort of games and which games/starter sets they'd recommend? Cheers!
  18. Sell the KHC Walther to a collector. Use the resultant financial windfall to buy EVERYTHING and take me on a lovely holiday as your trophy stud. Probably no good for skirmishing with, but seriously, highly collectable if in good enough condition, probably worth £200+ if boxed etc. Post some pictures of the M9 for us and I'm sure someone will ID it for you. Also, welcome to the forums!
  19. Gaiz! Buy mah stuffs.

Depends on what you like. There's a G&P M249SF, LCT G-04, Madbull XM203s, Ares G36c Ebb, WAS RICAS with a full complement of pouches, Chinese FAST helmet, WAS Belt, WAS Dropleg Dump, going to be some MARPAT, MTP and DPM too at some point, some Motorola Talkr T5's, oh and a US M1 Helmet with liner...Though I'm undecided how much of it I want to part with (I only want to raise a couple of hundred quid really)...
