  1. Does the gerber sti lock? Looks lovely and is the right sort of thing but if its a locking blade its not pocket-legal
  2. Strangely, as a mostly-qualified lawyer, who advises lots of people on lots of law in my spare time, ive already checked this angle... You raise a good point for anyone else looking into this though
  3. I have too many hobbies... Aside from airsoft, I also do photography (supporters, most of you have seen my favorite photos), Krav Maga, the gym, occasional angling, do a bit of cycling and finally tabletop wargaming/miniature modelling
  4. I vote RICAS again, and not just because I'd very much like to sell you mine! >.> <.<
  5. Those photos ain't Syria! Those look more like Clacton-On-Sea to me!
  6. If anyone wants a FAST helmet in OD, some walkie talkies, or some MTP in short/fat size, let me know...No rush to sell so can't be bothered to made a thread...

      Messaged both of you. Cheers.

  7. I imagine it would only apply to period-specific knives in terms of re-enactment. However, I would also say that knives do have a place as part of a toolkit for airsofters and thus, would be allowed under the law...Whether site owners see it that way is another matter (most that I know don't allow them into the safezone, let alone onto the field)
  8. Bounced from the Spyderco knives over on that site and whilst looking for reviews, found thebushcraftstore and this knife here: http://www.thebushcraftstore.co.uk/tbs-boar-folding-pocket-knife---turkish-walnut---perfect-every-day-carry-knife-16332-p.asp Going to email them and see if I can get a black pouch for it instead...
  9. I've seen the Grylls knives and they look close! The only issue is they lock!
  10. I know we have a couple of knife fans here, so... I work in what is basically a warehouse and regularly find myself wishing I had a knife for the various bits of physical work I have to do (general maintenance, dealing with pesky cable ties, opening packets of biscuits in a manly way and such), mostly because scissors are just too much of a pain to carry about. What I want, is a pocket-legal, non-swiss-army knife. I don't want a multitool, or swiss army because I just won't ever use the extra goodies they have. Why does it need to be pocket legal if I have a valid reason for using it? Because I don't want to leave it at work (one of my colleagues has a very frequent five-finger-discount on anything he sees) and I often go from work to various activities/places and so it needs to be something that the police cannot object to. What does pocket legal mean? By my interpretation of the law; 1. It MUST fold. 2. It must NOT lock when the blade is open. 3. The blade cannot be more than 3 imperial inches long. 4. It can't be a gravity/butterfly/other one-hand open style. Let me know if any of you know of anything that fits the bill!
  11. Quality of gear/looking the part does not make you a good airsofter. Playing hard and playing fair make you good. Can the hate. I would however agree with everyone that you will find more support on international/US forums. ArniesAirsoft have a strong US membership so I'd recommend you try there... I was going to close this to avoid the inevitable 'UK site u n00b' posts that are sure to follow, however I'd be interested to know, you mention using airsoft to bring your community together, specifically younger group, what sort of things did you have in mind? Here in the UK, most people are like 'DERP. GUNS R BAD CUZ DEY KILL PPL. BANBANBANBANBANBAN' so if you have any ideas that could be applied over here that would be interesting!
  12. He means you got there first
  13. I dont even... Closee because, honestly and without meaning to sound rude, no.
  14. I've seen varying opinions on this. Some people say it makes you an official tit. Others only go as far as to say it's pointless. I say if it ups your game, screw everyone else. Everyone else sucks. Try it and see what happens! You can get it for a few quid on ebay so gotta be worth a go?
  15. All these feminists marching around topless on the news to prove a point. The only point I see being made is that titties are awesome.

I'm not sexist. I just like my woman to know her place. The other day, she was all like 'NO!' and I was like 'Yes dear'. EXTREME.

That thong was ripping my ar$e to shreds all day long

If it works mate £110 posted !!! Problem is JD were selling them cheap at one point don't know if that's the case now.

  17. I have Combat-Ted The Battle-Beefeater-Bear. Marshall at the site I used to play would allow it as a valid weapon provided I didn't throw it at people too hard.
  18. A lot of religious books ban the eating of pork products. If I ever wrote my own 'bible' I too would deprive everyone of bacon. Because sharing is for bitches.

I regret nothing. Whilst you goons have been arguing, I've eaten a LOT of bacon (like, seriously, too much, I might need to go to the hospital).

  19. I have and always will stand by my somewhat outdated view that there is only one reasonable sniper-system in airsoft. The TM VSR series. That being said, I also refuse to believe that GBBR weapons actually exist, they're just a myth created by the illuminati to keep us blue collar 'aeg-guys' down. >.> <.<

      Adam3088

Ah, dont think I can help much there. I dont go to other sites very often and when we do I'm not the one who drives (it's handy having a mate with an audi estate!).

  21. If I could only have ONE sight ever again, it would be the old ELCAN. They're like the fat-girl at school who was always secretly kinda hot - they're a bit too big, and all your friends will probably laugh at you if you get one, but you know you're tempted and you just KNOW they're filth in the sack.
  22. Does anyone know anything about mobile phone upgrades? I took out a 24 month contract a year ago (almost to the day) which included a phone for £11 a month. I then increased my plan to £29.00 a month as I was exceeding every single allowance. Given that I can reduce my plan back to its original cost at any time, can I somehow trick Vodafone into letting me upgrade early, my reasoning being that my phone is slowly beginning to resemble a spoon in functionality and I could do with something better since I'm paying thirty quid a month anyway... If anyone knows anything about this, or knows any other way I can resolve my crap-phone woes, I'd love to be informed!
  23. I used to have a twist barrel in my l85, never bothered with hop at all...
