      Indeed. £13.50 clearance fee.... they're having a laugh :(

  2. G&P 249 SF, but the new ARES Mk46 uses top/bottom feed mags, rather than a tube so it looks like they're both compatible, meaning I can get the cloth nutsack types is needs be.
  3. If you're living in Essex, could you give me a PM, trying to put together or find a small team etc.

  4. Really late notice, but is there anyone playing at RAF Honiley, West Mids tomorrow who could spare a seat in their car in exchange for petrol money/eternal gratitude/sexual favours?

Just turn up. I'm sure someone will give you a lift from the shop.

  5. Got my M249 today. Absolutely awesome. Also looks like I can put new ARES M249 mags into it which is ace.
  6. Does anyone here have one of the new ARES Mk46 LMGs with the top-feeding magazines?

  7. Isn't that what all emo chicks say?
  8. I'm not denying UKARA is an easy system, but it was put in place purely for the convenience of retailers as a fail-safe process, suggested by the HO and designed to stand up in court for retailers, however, as a private seller, I have every right to accept anything that I feel constitutes a legal defense, especially when we consider that at no point have we been promised that UKARA would stand up in court for a private seller, or that the people behind UKARA would even allow us to use it as evidence in court, so for example, if I can get email confirmation from the legal owner of a site that they believe someone to be a skirmisher, that is a viable alternative, which I feel comfortable would stand up in court and can assess the value of myself. And that's before we consider that there ARE some circumstances in which a legitimate skirmisher may struggle to get registered with UKARA (rare and unlikely, but possible). Now, I appreciate that someone may not be comfortable giving their word as it puts their head on the block so to speak but what I don't appreciate is being given a lecture about how UKARA is the only legal method and is written in law, by someone who has been running a site for under a year, is new to airsoft by my standards, has no legal training, didn't have anything to do with the creation and negotiation of airsoft under the VCRA and frankly is just a little bit pompous and rude.
  9. Nah, it just pisses me off when people try to tell me that UKARA is the ONLY way to do things. I'd be saying to avoid people if they were at the other extreme and didn't use ANY method...
  10. Site owners who, after over half a decade of the VCRA, still don't understand the law.
  11. Does anyone know which couriers in the UK will still carry imitation firearms?

I was told that RM have done away with Standard Parcels, so anything above a medium parcel will now have to go ParcelForce?

Hmm i posted a medium parcel by them and i asked if i could get it sent by parcel farce and they said that it would be £25

  12. I haven't got it in my hands yet, but based off handling them before, I like them. They're gorgeous, they shoot well and they're very faithful replicas of the real deal. My only two hangups? Proprietary magazines, so it's box-only, no cloth-sack type, and no STANAG compatability. That said, their feed system is designed to give better feed consistency through and through, so hopefully it's a good payoff being their ridiculous RPS on 8.4v... That and they run V2 gearboxes which means TONS of upgrade potential.
  13. Trying to decide the fate of my ex-rental AK47...

See there's another thing, I categorise my rifles by purpose mostly, so at present the pecking order would be M4, L85, G36, LCT AK, then my ex-rental, I can't see myself burning out that many guns in one day :P (And if I did, I'd go home anyway because of grumpiness).

I picked it up from my local site The Grange, they only sell a few a year and they tend to go straight to regulars (or whoever is top of the waiting list).

  14. Ultrafire WF-501b Pressure Pad Battery & Charger Mount Not bad for £23!
  15. Starting to get pretty desperate for a support weapon.

  18. This is the current WIP loadout: It isn't based on anything, and YES I do know that having any form of Union Jack on MARPAT is some sort of massive crime against humanity but I'm a baws so I don't care. Got a few bits left to do. Need a drop-leg panel so I can relocate the holster and pistol mag pouch (and then add some more), I don't like them on my chest, they're stacked on top of a command panel and its just bulky. Want to get hold of some woodland gloves and some olive knee pads, also planning to build a very swish looking helmet. Need some stuff for the back of the RICAS but as that isn't pictured I won't worry about listing it all right now. Also thinking about whether or not I need a chest sling. And finally, patches. Lots and lots of patches.
  19. Everyone above is sort of right, the MadBull ACE is practically the same, the one pictured however is the G&G SOPMOD. £80, most solid stock I've ever put on anything.
  20. Physically, yes, but mentally, no. Then again, we all knew that anyway didn't we
  21. Yes, yes we are. This is totally legit. I was looking through my holiday photos and found some of me feeding a giraffe, it then dawned on me - I have NEVER heard a giraffe say anything to anyone. Now, at first, I thought that maybe giraffes couldn't make noises, like so many before me, however there were some rebels who thought otherwise. In order to combat these ruffians I whipped out my google fu and (much to my surprise) it turns out they make many noises, it's just that they're confined to sex, stress and being young. Once they've stopped doing any of those things, they take a strict Buddhist vow of silence and just stop making any sort of noise. N.B: The giraffes might just be quiet, they have the right to freedom of religion and are not required to be Buddhist.
  22. Did some constructive research into whether giraffes make noises. Was pleasantly surprised by their noises. Overall, today, I won at life.
