  3. I'm going to warn you all now. I am going to DOMINATE this thread. Just as soon as I remember my photobucket login. I have more pictures of my dog than is healthy (he even had his own thread once http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/16360-everybody-meet-my-vicious-killing-machine/?hl=%2Boscar+%2Bthe+%2Bdestroyer#entry108811).
  4. I've been out of the game for ages and I'm looking to beef up my knowledge on decent retailers for everything from tac-gear through to random AEG and Pistol parts. Can anyone recommend 3 decent UK retailers and 3 decent HK/China retailers?
  5. I'm re-starting after a long hiatus and I'm somewhat limited on what guns I can consider. If I had free-reign to choose whatever I wanted, the G&G CM series would be up there. They're solid, dependable, easily repaired (maybe not by yourselves - that depends on your own knowledge, but certainly they're highly compatible with aftermarket parts and they've got no really weird oddities internally), can take lots of customisation and upgrades etc. and they're pretty much brilliant.
  6. Technically - technically - my shoes are f**king criminal masterminds in this department. And my socks. And my butt crack.
  7. So now, a year and a half on, I've decided we need to update this. The past year has been filled with dog-related ups and down. He's eaten about £2000 worth of household items, from designer glasses to headphones to coats and more and has truly lived up to his name. On the other hand however, he's my best friend and has turned out to be a truly lovely member of the family. Those of you who have me as a friend on facebook will no doubt be borderline-suicidal as a result of the sheer volume of dog-related posts I create on a daily basis. Those of you who do not, have missed out. Luckily for you unfortunate lot though, I have an updated, albeit graphic photo of The Destroyer for you. He's a bit bigger this time around. I warn you, the below photo contains graphic imagery of Oscar mercilessly crushing my mother to death after she refused to get off the chair for him. I should also note, that when we were given him, we were told he shouldn't be much more than a small-medium dog, this small-medium dog now weighs almost as much as my fiance (about 50kg). Small dog much?
  8. Got an ad for thai-matches on the forums. Not ashamed that this represents the quality of much of my recent browsing material

  9. At the moment I'm listening to my dog sleep-barking (possibly at dream-squirrels, he was recently traumatised by the discovery that when chasing squirrels that not only are they nippy little buggers, they can also go up trees which is totally unfair and was entirely unexpected). Music wise, I've been getting into Elvis again. The king might be dead, but he'll never die.
  10. Eight lives down was the best 'real story of army superhero tough guy' I've ever read. Nowadays I'm mostly re-reading Terry Pratchett's Discworld stuff
  11. That gun makes my loins juicy. Unfortunately, not in a happy-ending way
  12. If your wring-out Bear Grylls, does camel piss come out?
  13. Lots of catty statuses and comments up here tonight. Grow up. If you're old enough for airsoft, you're old enough to have basic manners. If you want to behave like a thirteen year old schoolgirl, do it somewhere else.

Qlimax means that it wouldn't have taken much for Finius to have told him why he removed his status, and to be fair he's right. It goes both ways.

I didn't remove his, or anyone elses status for any reason recently. When I do so, it is always followed by a PM. Moreover, as I have advised pretty much everyone several times, if you don't know why a mod did something, ask them via PM, public grandstanding just makes you look a bit daft.

Likewise, the status above isn't directed at any person. It's directed at everyone getting their knickers in a twist over sod all.

  14. Everybody shut up about isis/israel/hamas or I might get angry. OP doesnt want political commentary or he'd be watching BBC Parliament.
  15. I know, I'm just so hilarious As for being controversial, I don't really think it is. This is airsoft. Politics rarely enters into our loadout choices. How many WW2 'softers who play the Germans are Nazi sympathisers? How many players at Milsim events who play the taliban/general arabic extremist types enjoy blowing up busses filled with nuns? How many players who use the Aliens Pulse Rifle have seen active duty in the Colonial Marines? I'm sure this guy just thinks the IDF look is cool. I'm sure he's never contemplated blowing up a hospital, or firing rockets at civillians or any of the other things Israel are accused of.
  16. I've heard you can get a circumcision on the NHS for about £100 if you want to go for true authenticity.
  17. So, let me get this right... You're suggesting, that screaming 'oi f**knugget' and derogatory remarks about various mothers at people down your radio, may not be an effective method of communication? Good guide though, if more people bothered to us their radios properly, I'd think about using mine more often.
  18. Those soldiers look only marginally better than the green army-men you used to get as kids toys!
  19. Thanks! It's much appreciated! I must say though, my painting isn't particularly skillful, I've mostly just spent a bit of time figuring out what works for me. I haven't got the patience or skill to do things like proper highlighting and blending so I stay away from them, what I can do, is put some basic colors on and use ink washes to make up for my laziness! Honestly, if you take an unwashed model, it'll look like a three year old mauled it with a paint brush made of duplo, wash it in brown or black and it'll look halfway to pro-painted. Next time I do any painting I'll either do a before/after of washing, or a step-by-step how I end up where they are now. There's one more photo I forgot to get of my Knight titan that I'll try get up soon! I'll also get some of my Star Wars X-Wing fleet.
  20. You can get them online from Games Workshop direct: http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Painting-Modelling?N=102299+4294966562Ν=product.repositoryId&qty=12&sorting=phl If you can get to a GW store, they'll have a set they can show you/demonstrate for you!
