I have played a few games with shotgun primary. It was frustrating in woodland, great for CQB. Given the price and performance of a CYMA these days an aeg is probably better. That said... the best woodland ambushes that I pulled off with the shotgun are still vivid in my mind seven years later.

To echo Badgerlicious, tape is handy, sticky backed velcro is the final solution sometimes, sort of thick tape on steroids. Thus far no M4, L85, or M16 has failed to respond to the lads painstaking tape it the fucking max approach. Aesthetics are however another matter...
