Sad news from the Nestle factory today. A worker was crushed at the warehouse. His cries for help were ignored. Each time he shouted, 'The Milky Bars are on me,' everyone just cheered.

Your absence was noted at Diggers. See you both on the 10th. I'll be donning black pjs and AK one day, PAVN and support weapon the other. Du ban GI! -
Returning player, now with a better budget!

Double Eagle have become a decent choice form what I've heard, gun wise. Biggest change is the end of all the cheap stuff that we used to get from Taiwan Gun. Importing stuff has become hit and miss tbh. -
Caught the lad messing about with live electricity again. I've grounded him until he learns to conduct himself properly.

Bloody cyclists... I've created a few I can tell you.

We used to throw darts in the air and see how high we could get them to go. Inevitably one came down atop of a kid's noggin and he high tailed it home, complete with new vertical head gear. Poor little chap hammered on the front door until his mum answered it, pulled the dart out with one vicious yank, and clouted him around the side of his bloody bonce as hard as she could. He disappeared inside with a mean pull from mater and that was the end of that.

Sights: when to bother, when to not
Tactical Pith Helmet replied to Floperator's topic in General Discussion
My 1-4 is actually a 1.4-4. I can snap shoot with it fine both eyes open. I certainly don't see the insides of the scope (is that eyebox?) unless I badly fuck up mounting the rifle. The frame around the image is not an issue for me, but now that @Adolf Hamster has mentioned it perhaps it will be when I fit the dot I bought a few months back to a rif and start using it. If it does, I'll blame him. 😜 Out of interest, has anyone on here mounted a pistol scope scout style on a long gun? -

Very true. A decent 1-4/6 covers pretty much all. Not many budget options compared to 4x40 as far as I know. Anyone have a wallet friendly suggestion? -
I'm going to eat different types of bread all week. Roll on Friday!

The state of the roads locally means four five hour day time drives are usual for me. Driving through the night I can be in Glenn Coe in eight. Having to wait to pick up mates after work for games and then driving Friday evening is crap tbh. If I go on my own I leave at 3am and have a kip in the van on arrival. Bloody big gamble to play somewhere the first time with a journey like that, which is why I like playing themed games as different sites get the same group of players, and word soon gets out about badly run days. There were players from The Wash, Leicestershire and somewhere Oop North to judge by their accents this weekend. Couple of lads from Wolvo regularly play themed games there too. -

@Crazy_Crystal is right. Sierra Bravo game at Fawkham. Think I've gone about four years in a row now. -

I find that I can honestly snap shoot just about far enough to get away with move, mount, shoot style with a primary. But throw in darkness, adrenalin shakes or glare and a set of irons is useful. That said, I do enjoy an annual weekend with the DMR and period Tasco Wide Angle. Enjoyment is tempered when younger players ask what the 'cool finish' is on the glossy scope. -

Amazing game again at Diggers Namsoft themed game in Kent. A little down on numbers perhaps this year and a small decline in green machine players. A shame that work and weddings seem to clash with the important things in life! Anyhow, arrived on Friday feeling wiped out due to lack of sleep, but soon felt good relaxing with mates old and new. |Met a few new faces at their first game. I did wonder if a whole weekend of airsoft would stagger them but they were young and full of vim as they used to say. Bloody good relaxed night around the campfire was a good way to start a game weekend I think. Day one and each of three Aussie squads were put together. Each was given a particular mission. Ours was to patrol an area and search for VC. This was a win on their part as we never found them and they completed their objectives. We did keep busy and tbh, we needed the time to get into the swing of things. A shake up run was important to get people into roles within the group. It took a few minutes to get us all in order of march and to work out who was best point or tail end Charlie. The odd firefight with rapidly disappearing foes kept us alert to say the least. After three quarters of an hour, we were rushing out to fights on the Land Rover, being RPG’d, ambushed, and counter ambushing. It was spectacular fun and pretty exhilarating. The vehicles and array of weapons was excellent. I realised that I had a good kill to death ratio at one point, only to get marmalised for the next few fights. The afternoon was started with sounds of rockets and large flames as a simulated plane downing took place. Now we had a race to the crash site with the VC arriving first and putting up stiff resistance as they withdrew with both black box and pilot. Won the battle but lost the fight… A break for evening meal, and we were back in base at 7 o clock. As darkness fell, we had been frustrated by countless /VC sqauds appearing and having to be chased and (occasionally) engaged. The whole damn lot of them then attacked. Seriously, the night games at this event and Arclight have been the absolute best I’ve ever played. Really pulse pounding stuff and only luck denied the VC victory. A couple of grenades a few feet further and they would have overrun us easily. As it was I was not taken out until someone jumped atop the bunker I manned. Not sure if they did get my shirt sleeve with their pistol, but the audacity and speed that they showed were impressive and I took the hit whatever, sat back and watched the fight unfold as best I could. The landmines hidden at the base entrance gave couple of players a loud surprise. Another night under canvas and one of the best things about airsoft was evident. I had a few beers with a chap I would never have normally met, but which revealed a similar life in similar family and work circumstances a mere continent away; eye opening stuff and another face to add to the people to have a beer with. Swapping home cooked food was good too. Went to bed full of single malt, aged brandy, fine cigars and top notch grub various corners of the world. Sunday was a raid on the VC camp to retrieve both box and pilot. A most intense firefight that lasted almost two hours left us exhausted and hot but victorious. It also left us embarrassed as several people had left and the VC were only about a third of our number… I’ll resist the temptation to bang on any more. I had a seriously good weekend again, with top notch players, no no hit calling, arguments or any other unwelcome bollox. A full twelve hours or so full on airsoft with vehicles, fireworks, mines, RPGs, a tight rule set and good playing standards, and had good time after game pigging out with friends. Top quality and I can’t wait until the June game at Eversley. I prefer a top quality game weekend once a month with the odd day skirmish to the fortnightly skirmish that I did for years. More sites, better playing standards and a great social. -
Has anyone bought from Tiger111hk before?

Bought several things over the years. Always top notch. -
I drag a fucked leg around. Given enough meds and willpower it can still work-ish. I can sit at home in pain or get out and enjoy life. As to eyes... when motorcycling or airsofting I have double+ eyepro. Glasses, tinted visor plus actual visor on the bike. Double lensed full seal goggles and contacts for airsoft. I figure that BB shrapnel is better embedded in a lens than my eye if the lenses fail. I still enjoy martial arts, boxing etc, and a detached retina is a risk in many of the things that we enjoy. I wear eyepro sparring these days. No real reason not too. Take it sensible and do what you love. If it helps I can recommend Uvex goggles. . I drilled a series of holes in a pair of ancient Uvex goggles and put a 40 Mike into them at 6". I then shot them with a bolty at 480ish fps. The sniper marked the lenses but they held up 100%. Fucking tough and inexpensive. If you are worried about cheek strikes a fencing style mask may be the thing. Good luck finding your personal solution!

The original Drunken Master is a good flick. I spent a few years doing silly amounts of kung fu. Jackie Chan was genuinely good in his first film. Wish I was the same shape now as when I first watched it... -
From memory of most of the older design Dukes from that era had the same probs that they always had - crap electrics, poor finish, flimsy plastics. The multistrada was a bit of a change in Dukes attitude to quality though. More modern design that shook off a few of the old problems. I know that SS models of that era still ate reg/recs and had a general aversion to water. A colleagues 900SL went through black boxes quicker than it wore out the tyres. The newer designed bikes had a far better reputation but still need regular maintenance as said above. A mate was told by Massimo Tamburini himself that regular oil changes were the key to long engine life in Dukes. They don't stand neglect. I'd be interested in it. But then I have an Italian bike in my garage already. It's worth the odd issue for the riding experience alone IMHO. You have a lot of fun for your money there if its been looked after.

M92 electric pistol, need photo of internals
Tactical Pith Helmet replied to bitofanidiot42's topic in Electric Guns
I bought a less than a tenner spring shotgun from TG. It shot at about 400fps. I literally cracked it open (broke the glue) and it fired bits all over the place. Once we'd collected the bits the lad and I had a laugh reassembling it all together again and cutting the spring. It was like doing a 3D jigsaw puzzle in a half open matchbox. We got it shooting dead on 340fps and really consistent. Silk purse from sows ear as it were. Good luck with the pistol.
