  1. I'd be interested in the science of this myself.
  2. I actually do damn well with a 350fps bolt action with open sights. You pick targets and shoot much more thoughtfully.
  3. Tried to watch one of those hard core tractor videos that are all the rage last night. I didn't make it past the trailer...
  4. The number relates to the degree of hardness. The harder the rubber, the heavier the BB that they are designed to lift. For .20 you want 50 degrees. As said above, unless your site says .20 only, most regular players use .25 or .28 in an aeg, along with a 50 or 60 degree ML. A change of 5mm either way is meaningless performance wise, it might matter aesthetically mind.
  5. THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

Found this upon opening my gun bag this afternoon. Anyone have replacements they don't need?

  6. Not one to boast, but I had terrific sex last night with this girl I met in the pub. We both got barred by the landlord mind.
  7. I've played a few themed games there. It's a decent site and the owner is a decent chap. It can get muddy at the cqb end of the site. The food is decent, and the games I attended well planned played and thought out.
  8. I’ll never forget my Grandfather’s last words to me just before he died. “Are you still holding the ladder?”
  9. I went to a wake today. I've been to several now; but none of them have worked.
  10. Rattle mags irritate me. Heavy and loud.
  11. I received a gorka from Russia a couple of weeks back. It was listed as UK stock. I ordered gear from Moscow in January and have had to raise a paypal claim as the seller reckons that the invasion in the last week of February has stopped it arriving. Bollox as it was supposed to be posted on the 16/01/22, five weeks earlier. The parcel was stopped in Kiev. So a bit of a lottery in my recent experience. As @Floperatorsays, if you try and avoid any state that occupies other states, you best make sure not to fill up any with Saudi petrol, or buy Turkish electronics, Moroccan herbs etc etc. Probably best to get an allotment too tbh...
  12. Explains where the new cartridge sits re: max PBR etc.
  13. Great day at the same event that @Impulse played at. Dustoff is the first game weekend on the ever expanding Namsoft calendar. I couldn’t find the silly black pjs and had to settle for PAVN green and being shot by friendlies three times the first morning. It did feel good donning the pith helmet again. Due to the storyline, both teams were pretty evenly matched number wise, which was a Namsoft novelty. I did wonder if this meant a complete spanking for the US, as the VC usually come away victorious in terms of objectives fulfilled, despite playing two or three to one. Anyhow… Saturday started on time, and consisted of much more of a straight infantry skirmish than the usual VC guerrilla stuff. Attacking The Wall, I was hit with more grenades than I have ever seen thrown in my life. Honestly, I was hit by BBs and then about seven MKVs. On the second or third rush, someone started chucking orange (incendiary) smokes too. It was hilarious fun, if noisy. It later transpired that someone had put a box of pyro at the base of the wall to sell, and in the heat of the moment the lot got used by over eager players. I expect the would be entrepreneur will punt them in the car park next year. Or I heard another tall airsoft tale. We’ll never know. The afternoon produced a series of attacks on the hilltop bases held by Aussie and US players. These were accompanied by much whistle blowing and charging like loons up slopes with sparse cover. I had been using an AK, but the full on style attack had me reaching for my trusty RPK. The rules only allowed full auto for support weapons, so the suppressive fire that the RPK gave was useful. Sunday proved the maxim that all plans fall apart in the face of the enemy. The carefully worked out fall back game turned into the US really getting it all spot on and outflanking us until the two US forces met in a pincer movement. We got completely hammered, although we did put up a lot of resistance at the beginning. I got the RPK set up on high ground with a mate, and held out until the inevitable happened and the GIs got within pyro throwing distance. TBH, I enjoy these games so much that I don’t mind missing skirmishes and the like for weeks on end if work etc gets in the way. The storylines and high standard of gameplay are great. The social side of things is brilliant too. It’s a proper weekend away in Victor Book for Boys fantasy land, with industrial quantities of BBs through the support weapons, stupid amounts of pyro being thrown, and a huge amount of beer. Anyhow, being evenly matched didn’t suit us and we lost for the first game in ages, if memory serves. In any case it hardly matters as I had a great weekend and am all set for the next in May. Du ban GI!
  14. I've floated my latest marsupial fighting series idea to my bank manager. If all goes well, Mortal Wombat will be on your screens soon.
  15. 5.56 can remain a standard too. It's horses for courses. The and a are different subjects.
  16. There were millions of 7.62 around when the 5.56 was adopted. I expect that the US is able to impose its will still.
  17. Just had a look at some CYMA AK47 midcaps.  Several going at around £20, the cheapest being £13 odd after postage.

I'm sure I paid less than £4 per 70 rounder from TG about six years ago.

First world problem and all that but still.

I've been getting some bits and pieces from SIXMM although for anything larger than a letter the postage is a killer.

Was gonna get some midcaps from there but they wanted £37 postage just for a box of 5

It’s a pain to get any CYMA / TM AK parts at the minute for whatever reason.

Close to binning it and getting something M4‘ish..

And just like that one of the lips on a Cyma AK74 Hicap just tore off. Of course I can't get anything reasonably priced in Rip off Britain! Got these for 4 quid each before. Cheapest I can find it is 13 now.

  18. It's interesting that its chambered in what is basically a necked down .308 case and uses a 135 or 140gr .270 calibre bullet. That's a hundred years old bullet design, albeit at a huge case pressure. Jack O'Connor would be proud.
  19. The compensation value is £100 max IIRC if sent RM. Apart from that you're fine.
  20. You don't need patches. Take me for example. I've given up smoking loads of times.
  21. Many moons ago I was involved in a 70's themed gangster film. Due to a sudden burst of summer rain, we all ran under the shelter of a concrete canopy that housed a couple of cashpoints at the front of the local Natwest. As we waited for the rain to stop, one of the actors pulled out his revolver and asked me to see why the hammer was broken. At that precise moment a Group 4 van pulled up to deliver or pick up some cash. The driver and passenger thus found some bloke in a baby shit yellow safari jacket, afro wig, Zapata moustache and aviator shades waving a pistol around... I quickly pulled the binbag from our camera and shouted that we were making a film. They alighted from the van and had a good swear at us for giving them a heart attack. These days I expect we'd all have been in deepest shit. We felt lucky to have avoided any back then.
  22. @Boogiez I think you mean minimum age limit rather than age limit my friend. Shamal is several times seventeen. 😉 I will have a look at your website. I am looking for an overseas game this year. Good luck with yours!
