I used the same myself when starting. The tan just ads to the contrast and pallete. Hardly matters with a bright white physog and a red armband etc as far as camo goes surely?

Not a fan of making things compulsory myself, but... It can spoil the atmosphere when an adult player looses a tooth and gets pissy about it. There are enough options out there for decent facepro tbh; and moaning about the results of one's own decisions is a bit un-manly IMHO.

These are noisy as hell in the standard holster. I found two for about a tenner somewhere, possibly TG, not that they're an option at the minute. Worth looking around though.

To echo Badgerlicious, tape is handy, sticky backed velcro is the final solution sometimes, sort of thick tape on steroids. Thus far no M4, L85, or M16 has failed to respond to the lads painstaking tape it the fucking max approach. Aesthetics are however another matter...

I have lightly reworked a trigger guard with a dremel and wet and dry. Worked OK.

I attached a lanyard to mine by drilling a hole through that nub at the base of the pistol grip. Putting it on the trigger guard fouled the trigger.

I have 'ahem' many CYMA AKs, all have standard hops and gears. I swap a BW 'fet between them. The barrels are not too bad tbh, but can be bettered, the rubbers are a bit crap and best replaced. You can nip the hop adjuster up when set and then forget it if you stick to one BB weight.

Sad news. My mate Dave hanged himself at that new modern art gallery in town. Took three weeks before someone realised that he wasn't an exhibit.

Double Eagles new range get a lot of recommendations, as do G&G for M4 platforms. I wouldn't be too focused on a metal body, pot metal is not necessarily stronger or weightier than decent polymer. If you fancy a particular era/game, then check out Facebook. I play with a very loosely organised 'team' in themed games. We just turn up and play, and over time you gel with certain other regular players. Cold War themed games are a great way to start. Gunman and Octo8 are probably the easiest to start with. Both have fb pages. Sierra Bravo do some great themed games in Kent.
