  1. I am. you have to use a couple of bits to do it. I use a cheap baofeng radio, this fist mic https://www.amazon.co.uk/EasyTalk-Speaker-Microphone-Portable-Talkies-KMC-17/dp/B0768Y2YSD/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=kenwood+speaker+mic&qid=1581976035&sr=8-10 then a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack adapter as the fist mic has a 2.5mm hole and the howard leights have a 3.5mm cable. The whole set up works a treat and full credit goes to @SgtTalbert who recommended the leight/fist mic combo to me originally
  2. So in an attempt to take a little pressure off of my head when wearing my ear pro and helmet, i found the combination was pressing on my temples and giving me head aches and making my ears hurt like hell from the head band being pressed down by the helmet. A few Google searches and armed with some knowledge and no skill I decided to 'modify' my Howard leight ear pro to be helmet mounted. To clarify they are out of warranty as this would invalidated it and its also pretty darn permanent. So here it is before hand.. helmet, ear pro and some earmore exfil mounts. So.. After cutting the leather headband and carefully avoiding the wires. Then using a dremmel to cut the metal wire mounts, I removed the headband then twisted the remaining wire mounts and removed them from the ear cups. Inserted the wire mounts on the earmore attachments into the ear cups, mounted them to the rails on my exfil and ran the wire under the helmet cover. All still works they have enough flex to be stored up or down for use. Simple enough for even me to do.
  3. Nothing too exciting a set of earmore adapters for my exfil helmet so i can modify my howard leights to be helmet mounted instead of trying to cram them, eye pro and lower face pro under the the helmet. Still need to figure out a way to attach the one tigris mask to the helmet though. Also ordered a spare mag for my tm fnx45. No luck finding a peq battery yet though
  4. jeez, trying to find a peq box battery with deans connector and in stock with decent mah. golden goose anyone

  5. My latest one sustained 2 weeks ago. 1st game back after 15 months of enduring lockdown restrictions. 1st game of the day. Pinned down behind cover trying to fight my way out, finally someone threads a bb into a gap and I call hit. Go to stand up and boom ouch. What the. Loom down expecting to find a tag round or flash bang etc.nope.. Something hooked the pin on my dynatex timed bfg. As I stood up it pulled it just enough to release the spoon but not pull the pin clear. 5 seconds later bang. No big deal I'm already dead. The sting is probably just shock. Lunch time comes and I check. Now to clarify I wear my bfg in a her on my belt. The bfg didn't just go bang though. It burnt a small hole in my ubacs, then appears to have set light briefly to my base layer t-shirt that definitely wasn't 'under armour. That combined with the grenade has burnt a patch of skin about 10cm long and 5cm wide to a crisp. Can anyone smell bacon. Cleaned the area up and 2 weeks on its healing slowly. Can see the main burn area has bit of the nylon fabric caught in the scab. But figure chick's dig scars right
  6. Boom heck yeah. Just won a tm fnx45 pistol from airsoft competitions. Just as my other pistils decided to crap the bed

  7. Been messing about with ideas for my ics mars sbr after getting bored with the plain 'stock' look. Nicked the peq battery box and afg off of my kwa erg and a cheap nasty light I had kicking about. Along with a big dragon qd suppressor. Thoughts or suggestions welcome as I'm not 100% sure on the afg and think something light a surefire one light would be better
  8. A guy at our local site uses a magnet system that works very well. Its basically 2 small (about 3mm) thin magnets and on the one inside the goggles there is a small piece of cloth stuck to the magnet. He swipes the outer magnet over the lense, the inner one with cloth clears the moisture. Everyone's been bugging him to get more, but apparently he got them stateside and importing would be prohibitively expensive. But maybe some neodymium rare earth magnets and microfiber cloth would work. Me i just use fogstop and it does the trick
  9. So with a large slice of luck we may one day be returning to our favourite sports and getting to sling some plastic once more. Bu here is the question. I haven't used any of my rifs since last feb/march time. They have been cleaned, dried and stored in a cupboard ever since. My gas pistols have had a squirt of mainenance gas put into the mags and been set down to wait their glory days once more. So with the hope of returning sometime soon. Whats things should we be doing to our various rifs to prepare to sling plastic once more?
  10. Might have a chance to play since the start of lockdown, for the first time a week on sunday. But the good ol mental daemons are having a field day. sigh

I feel your pain bud. I'm booked in for Red Alert on the 12th but I'm still going through all the "what if" scenarios. That said, I had to go to Swindon yesterday for work and they're currently 5th worst place for the 'rona in the UK so...

  11. Whilst waiting on my stuff from FRV tailoring. I bought some Invader Gear Predator Trousers in m81 woodland to go with the new ubacs. Also topped up the bb's with another bag of ASG cursed .28's just incase i actually get to play anytime soon. Also picked up another osprey pistol mag pouch and some weird sort of multicamish snood to tick the 'face covering' box most sites seem to have for reopening. So over lockdown thats new ubacs and trousersand snood, backpack, pistol mag pouch, frv belt and sa80 sling and internal rebuild of my cxp ape along with rail covers for it. Could have probably bought a new gun for that lot of money if my ukara had been vailid lol.
  12. I prefer a plate carrier to a chest rig myself. But that’s because I’m a little overweight and find the chest right feels a tad uncomfortable and looks absolutely hideous on my in pics. I currently run a warrior assault systems covert plate carrier with a triple mag on the front, a dangler pouch for odds and ends and a cargo pack on the back for spare bb’s, hydration bladder and spare pistol gas. Then a belt kit with my pistol, 2 pistol mags, 2 extra m4 mags, a holder for the blank firing grenade and a radio pouch for my comms.
  13. Just ordered a shooters belt in multicam and sa80 sling in multicam from frv tailoring. Now to wait for it arrive and inevitably sort out my belt set up again! hoping all the positive reviews are right and it’s really good kit
  14. New upper gearbox for the ics cxp ape. areived yesterday. Guessing my ape was one of the earlier models as the gearbox didn’t have the quick change spring system that’s used on them now. unfortunately The new upper case with an m120 spring. So I decided to swap the springs over. apparently reassembling the old gearbox proved that I know many interesting combinations of swear word.
  15. does anyone have a borken beat up old ASG mk23 they want to get rid of parts from. Mine seems t have lost the parts sc22 and 23 at some point and i need to replace them and figure out if its the reason the pistol doesnt work quite right

  16. Cheers skara. I was looking at getting the m81 predator pants pants they do.
  17. Most likely. Though it went in so many places i dont think there is anywhere else on the belt to try. Cant fit it onto my warrior cpc either as it doesnt have molly. Now i just need to figure out why some of the bb's keep getting stuck in the mk23 supressor. Then i can swap everything again to fit the dtd holster instead of warrior universal one. Oh on a side not and more on topic. Ordered a 'invader gear' woodland ubacs from Bullseye Country Sports on Wednesday at about half one. Got home yesterday at 2pm and it had already arrived! Fast Hoping the Invader gear stuff proves to be half way decent.
  18. Nothing fancy, just a dynatex bfg holster and malice clip to fit it to my battlebelt. Followed by several hours moving pouches about to make it all fit in a way i was comfortable with.
  19. over the last few weeks. New complete lower gearbox for my ics cxp ape. G&P Keymod rail cover set with finger stop. Backpack to go with my warrior cpc so i can carry some hydration. Hoping to order a complete upper gearbox for the cxp ape next week which will be a full internal rebuild and set of spares.
  20. Looking for some vinyl camo to apply to my ics cxp ape so it needs to be as sheet I can cut to shape. Any suggestions ?? Is it the same stuff used on cars?

  21. hmm replace my Battlebelt with a frv shooters belt. Or replace my 30/60 erg mags with 30/120 mags. Cant decide and cant afford both

save the money and think about it more, don't want to make the wrong choice 👍

If your current belt is uncomfortable, get the FRV.

If you want to replace mags, get the FRV belt.

      ;)

  22. Wondering how i can run a hydration bladder with a Warrior cpc without having to wear it like a backpack

Beyond the Iceplate suggestion (not sure how well it would fit) from @SeniorSpaz87 I don't think you'll have another option if you want to avoid a backpack/bladder.

The only other option would be a canteen on your belt.

An Iceplate will fit anything thats designed to fit a SAPI. Something not often advertised about them is they come with straps to hang it on the inside of your vest as well if you already have a plate in/cant take a plate.

I have plastic plates In the cpc so could remove the rear one.
now just to find someone who actually has the qore system in stock

  23. Victory. Finally managed to get the rounded out screw from my kwa erg rail with an extractor. Now to figure out what size this little bugger is

checked the measurements with a chart on a supplier and everything seems to match up to being coarse threaded. on a m3 8mm bolt it says there should be about a 0.7mm distance between the threads which there is. So fingers crossed. Ordered 6 in both m3 and m4 sizing's just in case.

  24. Any suggestions for removing 'rounded' out and possibly cross threaded bolts from a handguard. It will not budge and not a clue what to do, what size to replace it with if i ever get it out.

Yeah they are the hex/Allen bolts. Figured with no airsoft , it was time to give my kwa erg a good clean up. Discovered the previous owner had Mullered one of the rail screws. Will try a Torx. Have also ordered a extractor set just incase.

Look up "Grabit" I had a stripped screw head that I couldnt get out even when supergluing the alan key to the screw. The Bit removed the screw easily.

  25. Hoping to get out for a game on Sunday  before the inevitable lockdown happens. Plan to rock the ics ape and asg mk23 now everything’s working as it should
