Little bits and pieces yesterday Modifying my G3 scope mount to delete the rail and lower the scope as much as possible. Bit of milling, drilling and tapping and got it 95% how i want. Little more needed but i'm happy with it. Then a quick job with some spare brass and delrin; a Mini Tamiya terminal remover.5 points -
Hello - I am the owner of Airsoft Hub, and I thought i'd address a few of the comments made here - as well as any additional ones you may have. I founded Airsoft Hub back in 2017 and since then i've ran the website single handed at a loss. The website contains no adverts, I don't charge for listings or featured adverts etc. so I've been operating the website at a loss for 7, nearly 8 years. I have to pay for the server, image hosting, sending emails (when they work :D), SMS's for mobile verification etc. and there is tens of thousands of users on the platform. Apologies if you do ever drop me a message and I don't reply, I don't even go Airsofting anymore, and haven't for probably 4-5 years so the website (unfortunately) isn't a priority for me and with the amount of users on the platform, it's impossible to keep up! I have toyed with the idea of rebuilding it from the ground up in the last year, but i'm struggling to find the motivation to do so (it's a big time investment to not gain anything from it!). I believe when I made it 7 years ago, it was the best around, I don't know what the competition is like these days as as I mentioned previously, Airsoft isn't a hobby of mine anymore. The notifications were broken and I apologise for that, unfortunately the server ran out of disk space a while back and killed off a background task as a result which went unnoticed for some time. But as of this evening should be resolved. As for the future of Airsoft Hub, I can see 3 possible outcomes: 1) I leave it as is, and let it run into the ground - although it is still very active looking at the analytics 2) I rebuild it, but as part of that, i'll likely introduce payments of some sort (I was looking to use a 3rd party initially to do ID verification to remove scammers and make it the most secure platform. However, this comes at a cost). Essentially though, if i'm going to actively maintain it, it needs to be worth my time. 3) I just kill it off and save myself some money each month. I'd be open to opinions from the community on what they'd be interested in - and if there is any quick wins which will drastically improve the experience on the website, please let me know. For example, based on a message this evening, I added the age of the advert to the listing. Regards, Dave Airsoft Hub.3 points

Just in case you hadn't seen it yet - Salvo Precision is effectively Double Eagle, and this is their version of Spear LT which is currently slated for Q1/Q2 2025. As its DE, it's MWS based and it won't cost an arm and a leg like the toxicants.2 points

All Jez's doing, looks good, but likely to be a stopgap, at some point fairly soon we'll just start deleting ads, & repeat offenders will get warnings, if they still can't get their shit together, at some point they themselves will disappear like their ads, the whole point is to protect the honest members, so "I forgot" repeatedly might be an indication of something else ? 😏2 points

found a Donor (CYMA) for my KS-1 build. Now the hard part begins, so much to do. if anyone is interested the plan is: remove the QD points from the rear of the lower receiver. chop out the right side bolt release and replace with a 3D modelled correct version. either find or make the correct fire selectors engrave both side of the lower modify the charging handle to be ambi print a outer barrel sleeve to replicate the dimples on the real thing Cerakote everything fit aftermarket parts (rail, grip etc) - still need to find knock off Mbus Pro sights and the stock pipe QD point I've got a ACRO P2 but need to find the reptilla scope mount and find a suitable short dot that's close to the Vertex 1-10 (not spending £2000 on a scope!) This may take a while.2 points -

This is my Thompson when I was doing a WW2 loadout (all currently listed on a popular auction website currently). It is a Cyma M1A1 Thompson but has been fitted with a genuine Thompson Stock that has been hollowed to fit a battery along with the front grip. The Wooden pistol grip has been made specially to fit over the motor. The patina on the wood is truly epic, it really sets the gun apart from any other M1A1. It comes with 4x High Cap Stick magazines and 1x Drum magazine. It is wired to mini tamiya and is shooting at around 300 FPS on a .2. Hard to price with the very rare wood (someone on here sold just the same wood on its own for 120 earlier this year.) Price inclusive of fees and postage is £240 Located Pontefract West Yorkshire.£240

Depends on what you're buying - if its high demand items you're probably fine. This particular case, its not a high demand item. HRC is littered with complaints about them, mostly within the last 12 months.1 point -
Just had a brief talk with one of the admins or staff of AirsoftHub after an idle message that tbh, I didn't think would actually go anywhere. They've said that the notifications issue should be rectified now, and they've also added dates to all placed adverts so you can see when they were posted now. After this, it goes a long way to seeing why a lot of sellers I've messaged never actually reply; as some adverts were over a year old in some cases! If anyone else uses it, either as a seller or buyer, can you post and let us know if the notifications issue has actually been sorted? It'd be much appreciated. I'd do it myself, but there's nothing on there I can find that I'm interested in, now I can see the age of each advert! 😅 Ah, what timing! 😂 I literally just posted about this and saw that someone had replied as I was typing it out. @ItsDave I'm the one that messaged you earlier, I'll be quite honest, after all the other views and comments regarding the site, I assumed that it was already a dead site, or at least on its way there. I messaged more out of frustration than anything, not expecting to hear back from anyone, but I'm very surprised and pleased to have got such a quick reply, let alone actually having anything done about it, so I'll say thank you for that!1 point

May have been a tad optimistic was hoping for about 70m of effective range, given the slow FPS due to the BB weight I would assume it would be also not be generating enough backspin to get that end flick and drop. I'm using the airsoftpro gen 3. Which whilst being a pain to setup has worked reasonably well. Interesting you have some new nubs and thanks for the size confirmation. Got to order some new M4 parts in the near future from you so may order a spare nub to compare. Edit: thanks for the help everyone1 point -

Wall, thar's yar problem. Airsoft isn't actually magic, so you'll want to get at close to your site's energy unit as possible, and sort the hop. If a clean hop bucking can't lift 0.45g, then a sliver of rubber / tape / whatever thin thing you have to hand can add as much pressure as you need.1 point

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Barny reacted to Enid_Puceflange for a topic
Having previously splurged (what feels to me) far too much for a Kydex Customs holster for my toy Glock (£70) And adding a flashlight to the pistol, I needed another holster Looking on their website again a couple of weeks ago, I was kinda shocked that a suitable replacement was gonna empty my wallet of almost another £90! Im not saying they aren’t good, My non light bearing holster is superb, but buying another one pains my budget!! So I had a trawl about Ali Exp and found a good looking substitute for a 1/4 of that cost, but not available wrapped to blend in to my loadout. I sacrificed a pouch that I wasn’t going to use, got my wife’s thread picker out and got set about deconstructing the pouch Next came wrapping the Ali Exp holster using evostick adhesive, then fitted a spare QLS mount to allow me to swap between the two. No problems with the holster, with plenty of room for the higher “Supressor” Iron Sights. I still have to burn the edges with a lighter/candle to clean up the stray threads and stop fraying. I’m Very happy with the result1 point -

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
ruskitseller reacted to Impulse for a topic
Only played half the day today at Worthing Airsoft since one of our group had to get home after lunch so we all packed up and headed off. I planned to use the MTW, but while the power was now super consistent again, the hop was still sending BBs all over the place and I foolishly didn't pack spare hop rubbers to swap out, so that went back into the bag. Had my SRS with me, as well as my co2 powered VSR so I went with that as the bolt pull is far nicer than the SRS and it was shooting beautifully. Chrono'd at 2.2J and while I theoretically could've upped it a tiny bit to 2.3J, I wasn't too bothered about it and so that was fine by me. Also decided to use my mk23 with the new Novritsch mags and those performed amazingly well too, which is great because they're much easier to maintain (screw in the baseplate, no pins!) and also they hold 32 BBs, so 5 of those would last me a good amount of time, even if it ended up being a pistol heavy day (it wasn't). I wanted to use my AEP mp7 as well, as I really don't like the mk23 for fast shooting, but I spent all yesterday celebrating a family birthday and didn't have time to charge the batteries, so I left it at home. Anyway, the morning was one big game, which I definitely prefer, and it was really quite an inventive game that I really liked. Basically, on one side of the site there was a marshall with a whiteboard which had a grid on it and the teams had to get to him and essentially play battleships. If your team guessed successfully and hit a battleship, you got a chunk of cash that could only be carried in a silver briefcase which your team only had one of (so you couldn't just get your whole team there and just farm guesses, it was one at a time!) they then had to take to a marshall on the other side of the site who was the banker to cash it in. I think the game worked really well, though the battleships board did have to move a bit as the position was too favoured for our team at first, then it was more favoured for their team after it moved, but that's a minor detail and it made the game closer, which is better anyway; nobody wants a one-sided affair and I'm glad they did move. The VSR was performing absolutely flawlessly and I was glad I decided to take all 6 of my mags out with me because through the morning I went through 5 of them and two full co2 bulbs, plus half of a third bulb as there were definitely a lot of targets where I set up. I wasn't as hidden as I normally am, instead opting to tuck inside a barricade, but making a tiny target (only the barrel, scope and a sliver of my head was poking out) meant that people who did see me generally couldn't touch me; some BBs were hammering into the barricade, but at that range they didn't have the accuracy to hit such a small target, and with how the VSR was shooting I didn't give them enough time to put enough rounds down to where one would eventually hit me. I got some cracking shots from there, but my favourite was about 60m where I threaded it through a tiny gap in a barricade to hit the guy behind it. Right at the end I was the only player remaining at that barricade and the blue team were pushing all around me, but I had one player on my team about 80m away giving me hand gestures as to where they were from my barricade and I managed to take them all out with the mk23, one by one. Usually I go into games and I am very happy to have a GBB pistol because I get into situations where a GBB is better, but today it was the opposite; if I was using my hi-capa, I would've been found and taken out pretty quickly (especially as one of the players who pushed up is a regular and I know she's a very good player and would've taken me out), but because it was a mk23 I managed to go undetected. One guy did come up behind me and had me dead to rights, but his safety was on! So I was very lucky there, but the rest was an amusing coordination with a player making hand signals to guide me to where they were all pushing. Especially since the new mags worked well, I might stick to my mk23 for a bit, but I do think I want to also use my AEP mp7 in a shoulder holster so I have a bit more firepower if needed. The only negative about the day was about a small minority of players, who I believe were dealt with by the marshalls though. Hit calling was pretty good today and I had no issues there, even with the rentals, but there were some proper HPA wankerguns out on the field today; full auto BB hoses with box mags and itchy trigger fingers, and I heard there were people complaining about overshooting. I was on the receiving end of one at one point, but fortunately the log barricade I was behind at the time absorbed the brunt of it, though one did sneak its way through and so it sent me back to respawn. However from what I could see and hear and understand in general was that they were being dealt with by the marshalls, so hopefully that didn't continue to be an issue into the afternoon. Wasn't too bummed out about leaving early because this week my foot has been in agony all week so I have been limping around. This weekend it has been better, but it's still definitely noticeable; I think it's inflamed tendons, because my foot saw what my shoulder was doing and thought "that looks cool, I'm going to try that too!". It's still fine today, but it was definitely starting to hurt a little, so maybe calling it at lunch was a good move anyway. All in all, short day for me, but definitely a good day. Got some things to do in the two weeks between now and next game day; fortunately I always have a backup gun that performs well, but I want to use that damned MTW! 😂1 point -

UKARA license enquiry
Wayfaring Stranger reacted to Galvatron for a topic
As kindly as I can say this, your enthusiasm for guns isn't a defence. The whole point of UKARA is that regular players get an exemption for retailers to sell them an airsoft RIF for the purpose of their gameplay having realism. The UKARA defence is ultimately a compromise from a time when new legislation threatened to ban the sale of airsoft RIFs in the UK. If you manage to get in touch with UKARA, don't be surprised if they decline your request to side step the rules with short shrift. If you can't prove you've played to satisfy the requirements, particularly as you've openly expressed no intention to play, you shouldn't hold you breath for an exception or a fast track UKARA number because you didn't familiarise yourself with import laws & restrictions. They're unlikely to risk undermining their own position for the sake of one person who doesn't want "something that governmental" to show some credbility on his part as a responsible owner. I reckon you should treat this as an expensive learning experience because I would be surprised if Customs is willing to hold on whatever airsoft gun/replica firearm/prop it was that you ordered for more than 56 days before destroying it.1 point -

As the title states: I’m selling my beloved MCX rattler by Toxicant. Included will be the entire RIF, fully functioning, a CANEBRAKE style suppressor, (as well as the CANEBRAKE handguard included, ontop of the rattler handguard on the RIF in the images) the original muzzle device, a repro unity light mount/button, repro scout light mini, a HOLY WARRIOR eotech, a sig collapsing stock, and a Toxicant Folding stock. (not pictured ) will be shipped INSIDE its original case. These are fairly rare in the UK, as HM customs likes to fight you, and then bill you for the pleasure, meaning a brand new, non functioning kit will cost you considerably more than I’m charging for this entire package. Never fielded, only wall-hung and fired in the garden, makes a fantastic noise, and runs amazingly on full-auto due to the lightweight bolt and fantastic machining. I am not in a massive rush to sell this, as I still love the RIF. The included hop nub/rubber/arm are all stock, so only hop up to .3s. Swapping any or all should comfortably push .4s all day. Collection near Brighton preferred, but can be posted at buyers expense!£750

Ordering rifs from Impules101
Wayfaring Stranger reacted to Danno46 for a topic
So I recently bought a AKX and 5 extra mags from impulse 101 Shipping from impulse to the UK took about 4 days Borderforce took 3 months to do there part of it which involved sending me a letter asking for my defence (ukara) which was all over the shipping documents in the first place and a breakdown in fees I had to pay. In the end the total amount inc all the charges was £850 which was ever so slightly cheaper than buying in the UK. Main driving point for me was the fact was not many UK stores had any stock , probably wouldn’t import a RIF again but would easily use them for magazines as they work out much cheaper.1 point -
Ordering rifs from Impules101
Wayfaring Stranger reacted to BigStew for a topic
Import taxes and fees have nothing to do with the retailer. You are legally obligated to pay them if the the item you are importing is over a certain value. Some retailers under value the item and some time you get away with out charges and some times you don't and if who ever does the inspection could hold it up for weeks/months or have it destroyed. If you import something just budget for import fees and don't even attempt to import if you don't have a live UKARA no number.1 point -
