    Gun picture thread

The one in the picture is a SRC SR-SP, which is practically a TM USP clone with a metal slide & support for co2 magazines. QC is a little iffy on them but they have awesome blowback and feel awesome to shoot, although just like my other (now broken) USP9 it struggles a lot in colder weather. If you're keen on trades and want a better performer - the TM's a much better option but keep in mind it uses a plastic slide so if you'd want a metal one you'd have to track down a detonator or nova slide and have it fitted/fit it, and they're rare as hen's teeth & cost a fortune. The base TM is also a bit pricer than the other offers, and much much pricer if you're including the cost of a metal slide if you're so inclined. If you want a metal slide, decent-enough performance and the trades the Umarex (OEM'd by VFC) USP9 is a neat enough option and was what I was using before it shit the bed and stopped working, and considering there's zero information on in anywhere I couldn't fix it, hence why I ended up with the SRC. Second one down's the Umarex/VFC, top is the SRC. Also, a brand new WE P229 which I've just bought, which is lovely.

Especially since you can get a new VFC AK74 for the same price, plus GHK QC is shocking these days. Be lucky to get £300 for it.

£700 is a bit high for a stock AK that's technically broken mate.

  9. Thank you for the reply. I'm definitely more inclined to have a metal slide and trademarks. (I'm picky.) If the Umarex USP is made by VFC then i imagine it's largely the same as my 4.5mm one, which is beautifully made. Apparently they're prone to trigger bars failing though if used in double action a lot. I currently have my USPc and 18C as viable sidearms, i actually like the USPc more out of the two. Might just have to add a full-size Umarex/VFC USP to the collection some time.. That 229 looks very nice!

  10. I was interested in getting a hi-capa + mags so I had a look on Impulse. Before tax+duty (but including shipping) it's £144 for the gun + 2 mags. Assuming a 25% additional cost for customs and tax, it works out at £180. I can get the same stuff on Fire-Support for only a tenner more. There's only a few times where importing stuff make sense in my experience. MP7 gas magazines were a no brainer to import.

Half Term's come alright https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/r609-hi-capa_i69443 Reused and recompressed pictures that don't show "barely any wear" because the image quality has been visibly lost. For greater peace of mind, you can get the pistol from retailers for the same price! https://outlawairsoft.com/products/army-armament-r609-hi-capa https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/army-custom-5-1-hi-capa-gas-blowback-pistol-r609-silver

  14. £135 including postage Bear in mind that if the shop does this and you get caught you can be fined and/or face criminal prosecution as it's considered fraud.

  15. Import taxes and fees have nothing to do with the retailer. You are legally obligated to pay them if the the item you are importing is over a certain value. Some retailers under value the item and some time you get away with out charges and some times you don't and if who ever does the inspection could hold it up for weeks/months or have it destroyed. If you import something just budget for import fees and don't even attempt to import if you don't have a live UKARA no number.

In theory yes however unless it's very much in demand just like high end cars expensive airsoft tends to depriate more than cheaper stuff. If you are going to spend that sort of money what's the difference to spend a few extra hundred to get brand new? Especially as you have customized it so you need a buyer who wants it and is willing to spend that kind of money. If you haven't sold the original furniture you would be better off putting the gun back to externally stock and sell off the parts.

  21. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/two-tone-replicas/spring-powered_1/gas-powered-shotgun_i68407 I assume it's the DE M63 version of the SPAS-12. He may have bought it at a higher price but he's probably not aware that the 70% rule applies to current pricing. Prices have come down since then as you can get the gun for under £40 brand new. https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/bundle-offer-m63-multi-shot-airsoft-bb-shotgun-set-orange/ Even the bundle JBBG offers is more competitively priced. https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/bundle-offer-m63-multi-shot-airsoft-bb-shotgun-set-orange/

  23. My GBB pistols, nothing special. 18c, 19G5, 42 and USP Compact. All are Umarex. The 42 has an awful trigger. I'll see if i can do something to improve it. Also not fond of the flared mag well on the 19G5, should've got a G3/4 instead, i just like the front serrations on the slide. What brand is it? I have a Umarex USP in 4.5mm and it's by far the nicest replica i've handled, the feel and weight is just right. On that basis i bought a Umarex USP Compact airsoft gun and it's very nice, but not quite as nice as its big brother. Part of me is keen to get a full-size USP airsoft gun.

  24. I'm a bit more minimalist/cheap so I tend to just wear foam earplugs in cqb. No interference with facemasks at all. Once cash is a bit more plentiful I might invest in some active protection ear plugs if there are any decent ones.
