Cracked on with the foam this afternoon .. didn’t consider that the bottom of the case isn’t flat sided so I’m having to chamfer the edges of it ?

  3. Today was my second visit to Splatoon, near Wickford in Essex. This is a classic paintball site that also holds regular airsoft days. The day started very late as there were far more players that the organisers expected, some of whom arrived at the last minute; I would have started the day without them and let them join the second game but I am not a site owner. We started off with a simple domination game, which did not start until 10:50(!); teams had to turn each of three spinners spread across the site; to their colour to show their dominance of each area. I spent most of the game in the top field, which has a lot of structures made of containers, old cars and two helicopters at opposite ends of the field. We were coming from the slightly more difficult end of the field and, despite reaching the spinner on two occasions, did not manager to have it on our colour for long enough. We lost the game 2-1 as our colleagues in one of the other fields did rather better. After a spell in the safe zone to mag up, we went out for a game of fallback; the attackers, who regened on a marshal, had to clear three zones in a particular order, being unable to attack the next zone until they had cleared the previous one; once they called clear, a time penalty of 30 seconds was imposed for each surviving defender in that zone. Defenders had one life in each zone. After clearing the three zones, they them had to enter the fourth zone and get a player to the grey helicopter. We were the defenders and did a good job of slowing the enemy's advance; in the second zone, I found a great position on our right flank, where I was able to take out a number of attackers who were trying to outflank us, before eventually getting potted when they broke through the centre. In the next zone, which contained the black helicopter, our defence held for some time until the enemy eventually punched through, forcing us back into the final zone to defend the grey helicopter. Again, I found a nice flanking position, just inside the woods, from where I was again able to take out a number of the enemy. I heard one of them telling his mates exactly where I was, so I changed position and shot them as they attempted to assault my previous position. Eventually, I was hit but, while starting to walk back to the safe zone, the enemy's attack timed out. We then broke for lunch (nice veggie burgers!), during which I received a message from the lad telling me that the team of which he was 2i/c and navigator had completed Cambrian Patrol, being awarded silver; I am a very proud father. Clearly, all those summers on Dartmoor helping him learn to navigate had some impact. After lunch, we took over the attacking role in the fallback game, clearing the first two zones rather rapidly after deciding that it was better to take a couple of 30 second time penalties rather than waste five minutes searching for a couple of Bush Wookies. The third stage was a lot slower as just getting into the field and past the black helicopter is quite tough. Eventually, through teamwork and some great use of pyro, we forced our way into the final zone, getting players to the grey helicopter with about 90 seconds remaining. After another quick mag up, we played a game where our team, starting in the woods, had to get a VIP to either of the helicopters; if the VIP was hit, the game ended, so we decided to leave him at the rear with a couple of bodyguards while we got on with launching a diversionary attack on the black helicopter and, slightly later, the main attack on the grey helicopter. We had infinite lives respawning on a marshal while the defenders had three lives in the top field. I have no idea what the outcome was as I was involved in the diversionary attack on the black helicopter, which was great fun, especially storming one of the building complexes with pyro. Despite the late start, it was a really good day, with well thought out games and effective marshalling from a professional but friendly team. 6. ASG Beige gas is about the same as Nuprol 2.0 in terms of pressure. Abbey 144a is lower than Nuprol 1.0 “white gas” and should get it under the limit even on warm days.

  8. Mixed morning at Driver Wood this past Saturday. I opted to play the first game with the L96 bolt action and upgraded Mk23. Had some great success - achieving around 7 or 8 'eliminations' in equal part with each of the Mk23 and the sniper - whilst only being taken out myself 4 times. Quite pleased with that ratio, and the newly opened up/cleared area of the site really lent itself to the longer range guns. My el-cheapo chinese leaf suit really came into its own - i only wear the jacket, and have modified it by sewing on patches of hessian threads to augment the nylon lines of fake leaves. For something so lightweight and cheap, it remains super effective whilst being breathable and non-snagging enough for a more active/mobile style of play. DTD holster riding on a padded molle belt was great for the MK23, but i need to rethink my storage for the rifle mags - they were a pain to get in and out of the little zip up pouch i had squeezed them into. Second game, i opted to bring ditch the leaf suit and rely on the rather effective Partizan/SS Leto camo suit and run the Cyma M14. Unfortunately it seems to be suffering a bit of an intermittent wiring fault, so cue some rather comical moments when i should have got the drop on handfulls of enemy players only for the rifle to refuse to fire, with inevitable consequences. I also tried running .28 bbs in it for the first time (not bringing any .25s to the site with me), and it was stubbornly refusing to lift them. A bit of a strip down, re-wire, and a upgrade with a macaron is in store i think! Might also try to pop in a ZCI tightbore at the same time to make use of the 20fps headroom that i have before hitting the 350fps site limit....

Mine came loose even without the fake rounds . But I suspect the recoil shakes the catch just enough to release it. A stronger spring on the catch may solve the issue.

  12. He acknowledges that he made an impulse buy knowing he doesn't like the AK platform yet he wants retail price for a gun where we have no idea where it was stored and for how long? BNIB doesn't mean much for a cheap gun that's not all that collectable. I don't think this fellow knows how to take the loss of making a bad impulse purchase. You misunderstand. He is clearly selling it with the bag of illicit substances he was on.

  17. You say recommended battery, so I'm assuming you mean this one from Patrolbase: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/nuprol-11-1v-1300mah-20c-stick-lipo-battery-deans as that was what they linked in their ad for the Zion. Is the issue that it protrudes from the buffer tube such that you cannot fully collapse the stock when it is installed? You can get shorter 11.1v LiPos, I've just ordered a couple of these which are only 105mm vs the 128mm of your battery (assuming it is the one in the link above). No idea if they are any good or not, so it's not a recommendation as such. I have the same issue with my Double Eagle and the batteries I'm currently using with it, but I never use it with the stock collapsed so it doesn't bother me. The only time I ever fully collapse the stock is for storage and I always remove the battery in that case anyway.

  21. On the ML issue, Lozart and Adolph pegged it—you can try sanding the lips, but ultimately it’s a spec issue. ML rubbers are designed to fit Taiwanese units like Maxx, G&G, etc. I have no clue where AirsoftPro falls on the lineup of Tawain/China/HK, but they all have different specs, courtesy of the wonderful airsoft industry. I would personally suggest either flathop ping the stock rubber as a free try, or buying a flathop rubber. I don’t have experience with the unit you’re using, so I’m not sure what exactly will fit the best, but you can flathop pretty much any rubber. The PDI W-Hold is usually contained with units that don’t like ML, and so are the Modify Flathop rubbers. Prommy should fit as well (I’d recommend purple), but they tend to be kinda expensive. And, of course, you can always just buy stock rubbers that are made from half-decent material like Guarder, Arcturus, G&G (similar to ML but may fit better), Krytac Blue and Orange, etc. Flathop really depends on the rubber and the nub, so the current contact patch shape doesn’t matter. For a nub, I usually just use a piece of 8mm tubing cut into a rectangular patch, glued to the hop arm. This creates a concave contact patch and ultimately a similar effect to an MR. Hop that works with any rubber and barrel. You can adjust the height by either sanding it or adding layers of tape. Or you can simply cut your own nub out of hard plastic using small files. It can be flat or concave, either works. Then attach it to your hop arm (maybe sand the hop arm flat), with superglue.

    What have you made?

Machined/TiG welded a buffer extension, for battery and some cheek weld. Shortened outer barrel, modified silencer & machined out the rail.

Setting hops on these WE GBBR this morning , the mk12 has surpassed expectations , semi auto locked & 350fps on .32 it’s shooting very nicely indeed changed the lower over on the mk18 for a trade marked version so gave that a good run and it’s equally ticking my boxes . 24. Working on making a hk21 machinegun out of an old jg g3. The handguard is nearly done but I still need to make the outer barrel and barrel swap handle. Then its onto makeing an adapter to make the magwell look like its belt fed. Planning to make a snap in piece that I can attach a modified cmag to with a box around it. Should be able to just pull the adaptor and switch to using normal mags just fine if I need. not going for 100% accurate. Im going for the overall look with a few quality of life things like picatinny for a foregrip and bipod.

Like buses m8, three turn up at once? The Titanfall shottie is still relevant as we still play the game but I think the Zombie Rayven's my favourite though.

Need to drop some FPS? Superglue and baking powder on the back of the rocket valve will knock some power off. Mine went from 290 down to 240fps on a 0.32g
