I got shot by two people at point blank with CO2 pistols into a neoprene mask (I burst through a door at Tac House: Spartan and they were aiming at head height, which I thought was a bit moody...). Both hits got me side by side on the top lip - more surprise than anything, but there was a red mark. I think you'd have to be quite close for a sniper BB to actually bruise through neoprene. Teeth wise, I think it may just be possible for a BB to get through the holes over the mouth, or not even penetrate but push the neoprene against teeth with just enough BB contact through the hole to cause a shattered tooth - but really it'd be a one in ten million or more coincidence. But yeah, mesh is the way forward for complete peace of mind. It's not sweaty to wear either...

Just bought a viper neoprene mask seine site manager says I have to wear one for insurance purposes. Also bought a 5 foot by 3 foot communist flag for my bedroom.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. I'd imagine it would be pretty easy for the insurance to raise the point of why was a neoprene mask recommended when a mesh mask would offer more comprehensive lower face protection. I've seen sites ban things like sniper rifles for under 18s and certain types of gas, but in those cases it is feasible that they could put the site at risk. Neoprene is just flat out not as good as an existing, readily available and used solution. Teo just so you know this isn't a dig at you, it just seems like a strange suggestion/request from your site.

That was my thinking, if the insurance wanted face protection I don't see why the site wouldn't just say mesh lowers- that way there's a much reduced chance of anything severe.

I still wouldn't trust it to protect your teeth, given I've heard reports of players getting teeth broken whilst wearing a gumshield. Not to mention neoprene isn't exactly kind on your skin.

I can hardly believe I've just done this, but... King Arms Enhanced Selector Lever for AK - £31.54 delivered from HK :gulp: But good old airsoft.tiger111hk.com came through for the internal plate, including a $0.13 discount which under the circumstances could not be sniffed at... so £2.90-odd delivered also from HK. I recently got a PSO-1 replica scope, Liam, but other than that, no she's the same. I'm planning on a reinforced piston soon, because the steel sear is taking shavings of aluminium off stock one. I'll probably get the steel barrel base as well, just because it may prove useful and may as well save the postage from the Czech Republic by buying them together. And an M200 linear spring, which is the most powerful spring which will fit that I can find, to do some experiments on FPS and range. I got what I quietly felt was a pretty spectacular hit with Svetlana at Humber Airsoft a few weeks ago - under fire from 2 directions, poor bushy cover no higher than 0.5m high, trying to get steady on a difficult bit of rocky slope, bloody uncomfortable and steep enough to fall down; target approx 75m away, on the opposite side of the central valley, moving down and left; wind was gusty around both me and the target, but with an inconsistent prevailing wind right to left and towards me, so from about 2 on a clock, blowing down the valley between us. I overcompensated for his speed of movement and hit him at belt height slightly left of centre => result!

^^You know what I'm developing as a policy toward CYMA internals, GK? Leave 'em alone. They're meant to be loose and noisy and coated in earwax - they work best that way. You put a TBB in there, you'll need a spring downgrade. The next thing, you'll be wiping all that earwax out and doing a nice shim job. Then you're going to check the compression and find it's shit. So you'll want a new O-ring, maybe a piston head. A new piston head on that nasty looking off-white plastic piston...? So that's a nice new SHS blue one. And that crappy no-O-ring air nozzle...? No way, man! What you want in there is a nice shiny ali one... going into the stock, who-knows-what-degree hop rubber...? Nah... gotta be a G&G Green at least, maybe a Prommy Purple for a marksman rifle... maybe get a new CNC hop unit to go with... And by then, if it's working as well as it did when it was stock, the noodly-appendaged god of airsoft is smiling on you... Edit: OOps, i almost forgot! Thanks for the info on the sling point. but you have open top mag pouches aswell? how would they foul the mags?
