The one in the picture is a SRC SR-SP, which is practically a TM USP clone with a metal slide & support for co2 magazines. QC is a little iffy on them but they have awesome blowback and feel awesome to shoot, although just like my other (now broken) USP9 it struggles a lot in colder weather.

If you're keen on trades and want a better performer - the TM's a much better option but keep in mind it uses a plastic slide so if you'd want a metal one you'd have to track down a detonator or nova slide and have it fitted/fit it, and they're rare as hen's teeth & cost a fortune. The base TM is also a bit pricer than the other offers, and much much pricer if you're including the cost of a metal slide if you're so inclined.

If you want a metal slide, decent-enough performance and the trades the Umarex (OEM'd by VFC) USP9 is a neat enough option and was what I was using before it shit the bed and stopped working, and considering there's zero information on in anywhere I couldn't fix it, hence why I ended up with the SRC.

Second one down's the Umarex/VFC, top is the SRC. Also, a brand new WE P229 which I've just bought, which is lovely.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm definitely more inclined to have a metal slide and trademarks. (I'm picky.) If the Umarex USP is made by VFC then i imagine it's largely the same as my 4.5mm one, which is beautifully made. Apparently they're prone to trigger bars failing though if used in double action a lot.

I currently have my USPc and 18C as viable sidearms, i actually like the USPc more out of the two. Might just have to add a full-size Umarex/VFC USP to the collection some time..

That 229 looks very nice!

Pretty sure the Umarex USP Compact is OEM'd by KWA so it might feel a little different compared to the VFC. Mine didn't have the trigger-bar break but instead the valve knocker doesn't reset correctly so it just pisses all of the gas out when it strikes, alongside the mag release dying of death from repeated high intensity larping at home. Oopsies.

VFC/Umarex also make a P8A1 if you're so inclined, which is practically the same but with a slightly different decocker design and different markings (bundeswehr spec, but otherwise exactly the same as the normal USP 9mm)

Yes, the Compact is made by KWA. It feels really nice, fits in my hand perfectly, functions and shoots perfectly. The slide just feels a little "light" and racks almost too smoothly. The ergonomics and function of it is just perfect.

I've looked at the P8s and MK23s, but i prefer the USPs. I like the safety/decocker layout and the angled trigger guard.

I'm just gonna have to buy one, aren't i? 🤔

Cut bike inner tubes make good Ranger bands, and free from your local bike store if you ask for an old bust one 👍

I'm a commuter cyclist ... acquiring bust inner tubes is not a problem 🤪

Bit of a overkill with the holo and magnifier....thoughts ?

Doesn't matter what shape the mag is there's always a 6mm coming out, so if it works then crack on.  As a speccy-four-eyes I say stick a massive 20x scope on an MP5k if you like.

👍 yep I'm a speccy-four-eyes too. I don't wear my specs when shooting so the 3x magnifier works a treat 😎

All that matters is it works for you. I have a 4x sight and a red dot mounted at 45° on mine.

WADSN X300U arrived today alongside a CO2 mag with the cool baseplates, so I took a few neat pictures.

Just need to cough up the pennies to send the slide & frame off to West Laser to get engraved and cerakoted and it'll be pretty much done aethestics-wise.

What make is that mate, is it the SRC?  Thats the only CO2 one i'm aware of.  If it is is it compatible with any other makes?

Yup bud, the SRC - it's just a TM clone with a metal slide & support for CO2 mags. It's really fun to shoot but the QC is a little iffy because the second one I got in for a friend doesn't reliably lock back (and the co2 mag's threads are made of cheese and got fucked the first time I tried putting a bulb in, so I just bought him a gas mag because I felt bad)

I tried to return it but the retailer went 'nope it's your fault' because of the mag (which was my fault tbh) even though there's something actually wrong with the slide catch getting stuck and not locking back, so just be a little precious with it just in case you lose the QC lottery so you can return it properly lol

Currently waiting on a H/I key & ML barrel to be back in stock on empire and I'll pop that in to see if it's a little more performant - the USP9 unfortunately doesn't get much love with regards to aftermarket and finding any info on them is a pain in the ass (which is why my poor VFC lays broken in a pistol case, zero info online about it apart from retailer listings of them)

Not quite finished, but it'll do for now. I need to do a Brownells order to get a magpul angle grip, bipod and QD sling point, all m-lok direct mounts, but for now a few picatinny segments and the accessories from my mk12 MWS will do the job.

At a glance it doesn't even look like an HPA gun. Alas, the 3d printed tournament lock on the "buffer tube" and the MTW markings are what gives it away :D

Given the amount of airsoft gubbins under that bed, it looks like you would be able to remove the bed frame without the mattress moving!

If there weren't weird legs because it's a futon, I probably could! Under there is... a Cyma SR-25, a TM VSR, an Evolution m40a3, a TM NGRS 416D and a Cyma springer breacher shotgun, as well as the empty box for my SRS and a bunch of spare VSR parts. I live in a very small room with way too much airsoft stuff and no space for it all :P
