  1. @RebelScum Does indeed seem to be a UPS thing. I got my EMS, FedEx and DHL parcels in usual time. What frustrates me is the lack of transparency and communication. They don't even offer a webchat function. They make you wait on hold for 45 minutes. Service has fallen through the floor yet their prices have risen. They don't even offer any service guarantee anymore and haven't done for nearly a year.
  2. Did you pay your charges yet? I normally pay VAT and duties etc direct to the driver on delivery however looks like they they've switched to paying before delivery now. However their whole payment process isn't geared up. Even their way of informing you of payments isn't that clear. My packages came from China though so slightly different. Got a vague message on the tracker to say charges need to be paid, but no link to pay or instructions. So called UPS support and was told "ohhh ignore that, just pay the driver" . So I wait for another week, no movement on the tracker. Called support again, got Steve from Delhi ? on the worst quality line. He said I had to pay now, so paid over the phone as this was the only way to pay, arrived next day even though tracker said parcel still in China. Seems they are overwhelmed, but still taking on packages.
  3. I know it's a bit of a kick in the nuts but £15 for a courier is still a pretty good price for Poland to UK. As for the rest it does all depend on what is on the CN22 label. The fees they originally quoted you didn't make much sense so maybe they are holding it to re-asses. Just a waiting game at the moment, I've a couple hundred motors stuck with UPS god knows where for 2 weeks now.
  4. Were you charged any local VAT? I suspect just like when you order from HK, that due to the amount of parcels coming in not all get stopped. This is especially true when going through the national carriers like Royal Mail / Parcel Force / EMS
  5. 800GBP? Do you have a screenshot of the actual invoice? Interesting to see. Very strange, "government charges" can't be VAT and Duty, too low. VAT alone would be £160.
  6. Somebody told me that in Poland Airsoft replicas are exempt from VAT (23%) which in my mind doesn't sound right! I read (can't remember where) that someone got this info from TG themselves at a fair. As a test I've just gone through with a VPN to make an order on ZL currency and there's no mention of VAT. A CM.097E came to 1039zl (£202) Google currency conversion, however the same gun without a VPN, (so in the UK) came to £186. So that tells me there is a VAT reduction going on but it's only 8% difference? I did this real quick without logging in with my TG account so the numbers could be off, maths isn't my strong-point ?
  7. What's this link for buddy? Pretty sure the info is out of date. Fully understand the new threshold limits, interested to understand how the payments work from the retailers perspective.
  8. I'm assuming this as well. Just made a couple of 10USD Aliexpress orders and notice 20% UK VAT added to both. Normally those items would sale through HMRC without any fees, now the UK gov guaranteed to get its 4USD . I can't see HMRC adding duty and handling fees in the UK otherwise may as well kept the VAT parts - but who knows. I'm sure they are gearing up for adding duty as well. Chinese can't be happy about this..

Hey mate. Currently have a couple of packages sitting at Stanstead waiting for clearance, hopefully be here by Wednesday. Motors, gears, inner barrels and springs ? These will be on my website including 247mm. Don't look for them on eBay as I'm winding my account down on there.

Thanks, I'm always on the look-out for a cheaper tracked postage solution. Originally I did go down the route of using the non-tracked Royal Mail solution (£7) but got had a unusual amount of "did not arrive". Wish there was a cheaper option. DPD = £16, UPS = £20, Hermes International = £11, if anyone knows of a solid international service let me know.
  15. It has some good things about it, some not so good. Check out the Critical Drinker, he pretty much summed up the experience for me.
  16. when i first started, around 2003, no one really wore face-masks, just goggles. buy a gun from japan or hong kong, it breaks first game - tough shit! ?

Yeah i have an eBay store, although I only have about half of the items on there due to the crackdown they have against Airsoft products. Haha 2 years to get them installed, better late than never ?

Thanks man, they've actually been around long before the new-ish gen4 gears, the SHS / SLD type - just prices used to be alot higher. I think the factories just had a surplus so reduced the price on them. I wouldn't have thought they are as strong as the latest gen4 but they do provide a smoother operation for standard builds.
  19. 10 hard drive's ?

Nothing sadly, the package is stuck in Guangzhou at the moment waiting to depart, more delays due to the virus sadly
  21. It's been nearly 35 years but I'm almost over it ? What versions are those? I had something called the Storm Trooper transporter were only ever on screen for a second in the original films. I loved it. Popped up in the The Mandalorian. I've got the B-wing as well, I remember was so big and you could never stand it up right

Thanks man, got a few things on the slow burn at the moment. 1. Oil-tempered springs for the UK market, so M95, M100, M105, M110 etc. Will be the same quality as Gaurder / Modify but correctly rated and half the price. 2. Prometheus style purple bucking, again half the price 3. Mosfets (simple external ones) 4. Motors rated to 11.1v with better heat dissipation and larger brushes
