  1. @Fatboy40 The factory price for M906C is extremely low, they would never fit a spring with decent quality material sadly. Try removing the thrust bearing from the piston head, you should see the fps come down 15fps
  2. You might be able to get a whole new end bell, I sell standard Chinese ones but ASG are slightly different. As an alternative a SHS HT Short is roughly the same rpm but I prefer the XT 22TPA, both will work well as a pretty decent replacement. Maybe try and solder / weld the tab back on? Or you can drill and tap the part where the spring goes and then fit one of those little screw connectors etc
  3. Post a video up, if still in warranty return...
  4. @RostokMcSpoons you've put it together already but check the air vents of the piston head, make sure they are clear. It's easy to over-lube and block resulting in the oring being able to push out.
  5. @paradoxum damn that looks pretty gnarly 😞 Maybe one of those £30 tracer units or could you not fit a tiny battery in the handguard for the tracer?
  6. Ecowire is pretty decent for the price, the main selling point is that it's 2mm OD and cheap. If you need a wire which is slightly more flexible together with silver plating then there's the transparent 16awg: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/gearbox-transparent-wire-16awg-2-metres
  7. Here's the video from the XT 22TPA earlier in the year, amps came to 12A in the test. Another test in the pipeline is measuring the heat build up, those XT motors come with a little plastic fan on top, just never enough time to round to all the cool little tests I'd like to do. Build Rocket 12:1 Gears / Full stroke Gearparts M110 spring Perun Basic Mosfet AOE corrected RPS 25 - 11.1 25C Amp 12A (full auto)
  8. Great little bits of kit, come in real handy for testing efficiency of the motors under different setups. I've also got a tach meter for measuring the RPM and a little heat sensor. Been running tests the past few weeks on the new 22TPA and 28TPA XT motors @Rogerborg Speaking to Jakub last week and he's still waiting on the chips to arrive for the Perun basic 😞
  9. @RostokMcSpoons Can't really fault the Perun's, been selling them for around a year now and they've been solid. Perun also provide direct support so any problems they are on hand to help out.
  10. Acceptable result for you anyway, bugs me as well eBay let they buyer get away with this, and as the cherry on top make you pay for the return shipping! There's currently no way you can give feedback so other eBay users can see what happened here. Only way you can do something is make a false positive feedback statement on his account, but he could then get that retracted as it goes against eBay policy. Ideal world eBay would allow sellers to see buyer history, return stats, cases etc, but of course that would mean lower profits for eBay. It's very one-sided. CEO sent out a huge email only last week to business sellers staying this is what we're doing for protection, some new changes, first email I've ever seen that went towards addressing the problem. Their forums are littered with similar sellers all complaining and threatening to leave.
  11. I'm guessing his was a fake / copied game? Have a look at his feedback comments, any false positives ?
  12. I was there as well on that day, ShadopOpz at Richborough. It was the most surreal thing ever. Stripper parts at the end 🙂
  13. The Spaniard thought I've got his money and the gun back, viva el presidente! Only 2 weeks ago I had a similar thing from someone in the UK, supposed to send me something. 1. I have to work this week but will send it after. 2. I'm busy this week with my child, the wife will send it. 3. I have important family business abroad I will be back in 2 weeks time. 4. I'm back in the UK now but in hospital with COVID... In the end he admitted he couldn't find it and just sent me the money 🙂
  14. @Dratsab a guy in the US sells a basic spring tester that uses a luggage scale, it works but isn't hugely reliable. A real spring tester that will measure the N/mm costs a couple hundred quid. Length, coil number and wire thickness are a good way of estimating, of course different brands are based on different markets where they play with different FPS so there's no standard measuring scale. The closest you can get is having someone measure the Newton force at the stage in which it's released in the gearbox. I've spent a fortune getting a spring factory to working this out, send me samples so I can test etc...Hopefully have some new M100 samples arriving next couple of weeks although with the higher powers.
  15. tinkers gotta tinkle 🙂 Play with it, buy a 2nd tickle your heart away. If you do feel the urge try some different buckings. Prom ain't bad, it's a good standard design. Maple Leaf also do some pretty good ones. Experiment with those, give the barrel a nice clean, polish it if you really want to.
  16. @Rogerborg I've got one of those BD motors around somewhere, do the new one still use that tab can design?
  17. Only today my courier company sent an email out explaining another 5% increase, this is on top of the 15-20% increase in the past 2 years. Sea freight prices have increased 5 fold, will they come down? stay as they are? who the fuck knows. Air freight prices are also through the roof, check out the Emergency Situation Surcharge on this 30kg shipment from HK to UK..
  18. @GoodeyAirsoft The nub is used to apply pressure onto the bucking (backspin), for barrel length grab the closest to the stock length, I think the stock is 215mm, ZCI do a 200mm and 229mm, depends on how much length you have. I used to love the ZCI HT motors but they never improved the design, must have asked them a dozen times to stop using the tab design and shim a little better but they never did. It's why I moved to stocking the XT motor range and back to the SHS HT motor.
  19. I've never used those Ultimate gears before, I think they are just rebranded Lonex though, the top section of the sector gear is molded / sintered whereas the Rocket / SHS (all black) gears are machined.
  20. Just order it from KY, as long as you've got the relevant defence shouldn't have anything to worry about. This is how lot of us import RIF's from abroad.
  21. Stupid move by the retailer, honestly takes no time at all to contact the buyer and explain the issue. Any reason for not just using some SHS or Rocket 16:1 gears? They are generally pretty solid and half the price.
  22. @RostokMcSpoons just watched your video's, I would have expected a bigger jump from 7.4 to 11.1. Of course a lot of other factors at play. Ideally it's worth testing with another motor you have have the running in another RIF and compare the 2. Still the original motor? I imagine the stock motor is super bargain basement.
