  1. What happens when you just drop a BB down through the barrel, does it drop freely? Any obstructions?
  2. @steverebo hmmmm try the original hop chamber instead of the ZCI rotary, and try the ZCI rubber as well in both as well. If you have a ML inner barrel to hand it's worth also trying that. Can always post one out to you tomorrow (should arrive by Friday) as long as I get it off in the early post.
  3. As others have said, do the drop test, check for burrs etc, if there is an issue drop it back to me and I can test / replace, it's no bother. Maple Leaf rubbers design is quite a bit different from the old / standard one, longer lips 1.8mm and a much wider aperture - can cause all sorts of problems. If you have an old standard bucking laying around try that. It just might be the combination of all the parts that just stops it's from feeding. It's a SA Edge, with the blue rotary chamber right?
  4. There's always room for development of new ideas and improvement of old ideas, it's key that you fully look at what is currently available and what has failed in the past. Anyone remember Airsoft Wall from about 10 years ago? Amazing site built with Joomla and it's wall plugin, some great tech and great content updated every hour, I believe they were going to add sites and stores but it just disappeared as the rise of social media took hold. Does Airsoft need an indexing website? Perhaps not on it's own, maybe it could be part of something bigger. A friend of mine has been working on a defense system, not sure that will actually get off the ground but he's realistic and knows the right amount of resources to spend on it. Key is to have something to show and ask for feedback, don't even raise your head above the parapet till you're at that stage.
  5. Sadly I'm all out of gearbox shells. I've not come across the SA complete gearboxes before so not sure it will work in a Lancer or even what the quality is like. No matter what after-market shell you use there's always a chance of some incompatibility. Even 1mm of difference can mean the difference between feeding and not feeding, always good to keep in mind. The Lancer is defaintely fixable but will take a bit of time and money, maybe worth putting that towards a new aeg and then tinkering around with the Lancer, get yourself an E&C shell from a HK store (around £30), slowly work on it.
  6. never used it myself but I like the concept. I think it's something that Royal Mail could do in the near future when GPS gets down to 1m per square. So with when scanning a packet before posting could be used to double check the address with the location, could cut down the amount of post put through wrong doors etc.
  7. welcome to the sport. makes me happy to see younger and older getting involved. health is so important, desk job will kill ya if not careful. IT and doughnuts nearly ended me! So many of us here around similar age. Have fun....
  8. My first brand new AEG was back in 2004, was a G&G LR300S, cost around £500 to get it shipped from Redwolf HK, broke on 1st game. I would have loved 14 outings in 6 months 🙂 In all seriousness QC has got better but not to the point where I'd personally trust one not to develop a fault within the 1st 6 month - just so much to go wrong. That's just my own personal view, as @Rogerborg states there's nothing stopping you asking your payment processor to initiate a chargeback.
  9. As others have said 6 months have passed so you'd have to prove that the fault was there originally, i.e never been skirmished. What company did you buy it from? What battery were you using?
  10. Looks like that's either a mp5k or AK long nozzle ? Grab yourself a M4 nozzle. Give it a measure first though, get yourself a set of digital calipers. Spring guide tilt is a pita when testing, this is why I love the e&c shells so much, they use 4 lugs and prevent this.
  11. Should be roughly the same price if TW sold without the VAT or signed up for the vat prepayment. I imagine if they signed up for the prepayment scheme (I forget it's name) then they would skip handling charges?
  12. @doom9 love the SMG 45, not sure about that stock though, love the RS wire-frame stock, however it's only £115, pretty good value.
  13. @steverebo you're a superstar, thanks. Hopefully the chamber will work out well for you. I'm always over-cautious when it comes to anything related to feeding and hop chambers. It's just such a minefield sometimes. Let us know how you get on.
  14. @steverebo always good to keep in mind that there's so many factors involved nothing is ever 100% guaranteed to fit or work straight away. Exactly the same with these ZCI plastic chambers. They are however cheap. If you purchased from me let me know, I've got some sample zci adjustable nozzles around somewhere, I'll drop one in for you for free 🙂 might help you diagnose any issues.
  15. I wouldn't say nozzle length is directly linked to the hop chamber. It's more of a combination of many parts, tappet plate, gearbox shell, bucking, outer barrel etc.
  16. @Fatboy40 The factory price for M906C is extremely low, they would never fit a spring with decent quality material sadly. Try removing the thrust bearing from the piston head, you should see the fps come down 15fps
  17. You might be able to get a whole new end bell, I sell standard Chinese ones but ASG are slightly different. As an alternative a SHS HT Short is roughly the same rpm but I prefer the XT 22TPA, both will work well as a pretty decent replacement. Maybe try and solder / weld the tab back on? Or you can drill and tap the part where the spring goes and then fit one of those little screw connectors etc
  18. Post a video up, if still in warranty return...
  19. @RostokMcSpoons you've put it together already but check the air vents of the piston head, make sure they are clear. It's easy to over-lube and block resulting in the oring being able to push out.
  20. @paradoxum damn that looks pretty gnarly 😞 Maybe one of those £30 tracer units or could you not fit a tiny battery in the handguard for the tracer?
  21. Ecowire is pretty decent for the price, the main selling point is that it's 2mm OD and cheap. If you need a wire which is slightly more flexible together with silver plating then there's the transparent 16awg: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/gearbox-transparent-wire-16awg-2-metres
  22. Here's the video from the XT 22TPA earlier in the year, amps came to 12A in the test. Another test in the pipeline is measuring the heat build up, those XT motors come with a little plastic fan on top, just never enough time to round to all the cool little tests I'd like to do. Build Rocket 12:1 Gears / Full stroke Gearparts M110 spring Perun Basic Mosfet AOE corrected RPS 25 - 11.1 25C Amp 12A (full auto)
  23. Great little bits of kit, come in real handy for testing efficiency of the motors under different setups. I've also got a tach meter for measuring the RPM and a little heat sensor. Been running tests the past few weeks on the new 22TPA and 28TPA XT motors @Rogerborg Speaking to Jakub last week and he's still waiting on the chips to arrive for the Perun basic 😞
  24. @RostokMcSpoons Can't really fault the Perun's, been selling them for around a year now and they've been solid. Perun also provide direct support so any problems they are on hand to help out.
