  1. I think 90% of us on here would be lying if we hadn't bought from the 'bb gun' sites first. But then learnt about quality retailers. Cheap JBBG guns are not aimed at for airsofting.

  3. I've seen quite a few under 500 I swea ASG usually just rebrand and licence guns so can find ones without trademarks a lot cheaper
  4. I have a CYMA M4, heard lots of bad stuff about them. G&G would've definitely been a better choice. The CYMA feels shit and apparently internals are bad too in comparison.
  5. I've heard a load of other unis have banned em Shouldn't really call airsoft guns weapons but that's what they class them as
  6. MAG magazines should work and are good. About 7 or 8 quid each or £55 for a set of eight from Airsoft Supply Drop.

  8. wat the f*ck is that AR magwell and FAB Defense grip doing on there!!? BLASPHEMY
  9. Lonex hop rubber or Prometheus? Considering that the former is £4.50 latter $12.50 exc. shipping from eHobby & this is to put in future JG AUG. Want more accuracy but not aiming for full on DMR

I have had some good results with the lonex 50 degree bucking so for £4.50 its worth a try.

      prommy purple are excellent

  10. KeyMod is alright and lightweight but can be expensive for rail panels. The G&G T418 is good but let down by the MOSFET. As M_P said KWA ERG or TM but I think the TM will have to be second hand to get it for 400, and the ERGs are incredibly hard to find now but they are both some of the best AEGs available.
  11. Latest TM - USP Compact

Personally i've found they were the only ones easy to find with gloves on. Both AR style mag releases and the standard pistol ones I have to look for till I have a memory for their location.

I always sigh when that dude talks about FPS though I just translate that as "I want to increase the chance I can break the skin with my shots"

I'll stick with my hk45 I think, hopefully a prototype too as the side view of the slide at 1 min 53 seems to show either atrocious casting or a crack in the slide

Still love my HK45, think it would feel like betraying it to get another pistol. That mark on the slide does seem a bit suspect though.

  12. Platatac SAS Windproof Smock arrived Was $350 down to $50
  13. Spring doesn't matter, just affects velocity (along with air seal) spring guide should be upgraded (to a ball bearing one) Gear set (13:1) Super Shooter / SHS for example, will be ~$30 from AirsoftPeak / eHobby Asia etc Hi-torque motor as mentioned before Re-shim and correcting AOE is essential Piston is also worth considering replacement but not essential AFAIK. Sometimes people will 'swiss cheese' them (lighten) Probably missed off some other bits as well
  14. The BOT is most likely gonna be the same as the other Combat Machines, except you're getting a KeyMod rail (limits your attachment options because the rails for them can be harder to find / more expensive) It also comes with a MOSFET but the guns are let down by them as G&G ones are notoriously bad.
  15. I've heard they're very good, there are also a lot of good reviews of them on eHobby Asia. Should be good value for money.
  16. Pretty sure it's for breaching Definitely not a bottle opener, and the bayonet lug is a piece on the front sight
  17. Specwarfare site suddenly not working...trying to tell me I need to stop looking at stuff I think

  18. I'm 17, thought I'd need full face too but First & Only rules are you can wear just eye pro from 16. They should count as full face protection, quality of the goggles should be ok as well (I sometimes use Swiss Arms ones but a different style) Not sure if they will fit well together though? I say that cos I've never had a mesh mask that is compatible with the goggles I use. Maybe consider looking somewhere else like eBay for the mesh mask as it might be a bit cheaper
  19. The polymer ones are fine, I reckon the internals will be practically the same. As Tac said the metal receivers aren't great and generally pot metal (in fact will break much more easily -than the plastic ones- apparently)
  20. It should be okay but probably not the best for the money unfortunately. I have a CYMA M4 as well but heard they're bad. Would've rather bought a G&G for around the same (think I paid £150 for mine and could've bought a Combat Machine CM16 + battery and charger for about the same price) A new battery and charger is a good idea, as the ones which come with guns are never good quality. You will want at least a couple for a day as well in case one runs out. In terms of face protection you can fit glasses underneath I'm afraid there's really no good options unless you're prepared to pay a lot for goggles / glasses and prescription lens inserts. My dad uses Bolle PILOT / PILOPSI goggles which have cut outs inside so your frames fit, but on the other hand the downside is they're designed as safety goggles and look a bit sh*t.
  21. Yeah everybody recommends them. I'd say best M4s for the price in the UK, and the 30th Anniversary edition is really nice looking and not as common or boring as the standard Combat Machine
  22. ^ Was gonna link the same thing...it seems like so much work though. I guess that's what you gotta do if you're serious about having a good performer. Seriously wish some company would actually implement modifications like these into stock guns but it'd be ridiculously expensive if they're only making them to satisfy a niche And yeah externals mean nowt - all these DMR guns (e.g. G&G GR25) are just normal AEGs!! Nothing special about them at all really, all aesthetics. I don't know much on this area but I'd suggest looking at P&J rifles from TaiwanGun, re-branded A&K ARs / SR-25s and all only around £150. I've heard it's easier to do with a GBBR and it's something I'd thought of trying with a Tippmann M4 (given it's a 'affordable' alternative to a P* or SMP) but with the proprietary hop etc it seems unlikely. If it is entirely possible to get it to a decent standard just changing parts then you want the best quality barrel (Prometheus afaik) you can get as opposed to length and a good hop. And heavier BBs of course. Probably 0.28-0.30, anything above would be too heavy? 0.20s, 0.23, 0.25 is normal weight for AEG users
  23. 1) Say 'we are a team' to the lads 2) Rock up to a skirmish together 3) = a team ... If you want to be some serious team and represent, get yourselves some team patches made or something, organise a uniform in one camouflage pattern? So you can easily identify each other. As above there aren't any specific rules or declarations you have to make if that's kinda what you're asking.
