Yeah, at this point he's just kicking over pieces and shitting on the chessboard. -
Now THAT is nice.

If they declare a zero value on the CN22 it should be fine. Won't stop UPS losing it for all eternity of course but there you go! -

So yeah. That's why we all started trying to help. But hey, you go for it. Just remember to get those push ups in, M4s and LA85s weigh more than your super specialised SMGs. You said that you assumed you'd need a longer barrelled gun to play outdoors, we explained why you didn't need to. All you've done since then is tell us that we're all wrong and that you didn't actually say that. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out. -

Wow...OK. "Specialised platform" is marketing spin. It may be better in a CQB environment purely because it's short but that again isn't entirely true. At it's heart it's exactly the same as every other aeg out there, a motor spins gears that reciprocates a piston to provide motive energy to a BB that is given backspin by the hop as it travels down the barrel. As far as range or accuracy goes those are the parts that matter. Not the length of your handguard or the ergonomics of the mag release. As for age...you know what yes, I am older than you but that is totally irrelevant until it comes to running up hills (my knees are fucked but we've covered that elsewhere). The fact that I've been airsofting for a LOT longer than you IS relevant though because that gives me more real world experience than you have. If we stick to our beliefs then more often than not it's because we're right not because we're "set in stone". -

It's not hindsight if you knew it was going to happen To be fair, it probably is a bit disingenuous to blame Brexit for the entire shitshow. UPS are doing FAR worse than anyone else it seems. -

Nobody said it was your problem. I was explaining why your post may have been misinterpreted. The platform (specialised or not) is irrelevant, the critical points remain the same. Past 200mm barrel length you will not get massive improvements in range and accuracy by adding 100mm or so length. The most important factors are bore quality and hop effectiveness. Getting a longer barrelled M4 will not make you more accurate or have way better accuracy unless it also has a more effective hop unit and a better barrel than either your TK45c or your Firehawk (which is ENTIRELY possible given that they aren't the best to begin with). None of which should stop you from buying whatever you please (and I'm sure it won't). As for the MK23, no I mean good range and accuracy as an absolute regardless of platform. -

OK, let me put it this way - you have 29 posts up to this point. Those of us with higher counts have seen this conversation time and again so it becomes second nature to assume (rightly or wrongly) that the same reasoning is being applied. As far as the short length of the barrel goes - how would you explain the MK23? That has a 123mm inner barrel and yet is well known for its range and accuracy. The quality of the bore and the effectiveness of the hop unit/nub/rubber combination has far more effect on range and accuracy than an extra 100mm of barrel length. -
Maybe I'm the lucky one but I've not had any real issues with my Earmors. The spring in the battery compartment leaves a bit to be desired but it's nothing that a quick stretch with a pair of pliers doesn't fix. I am tempted by a pair of Howard Leights though based on cost and the desire for a second headset to use when I'm not wearing a helmet.

The bit I don't get is that we all knew this was coming. I know that some of us made their purchases pre-January in a bid to avoid all this but were unlucky but seriously - who bought after Jan 1st and didn't think there'd be an issue? -

Because there's endless posts from people on here that say they want a longer barrelled gun for woodland purely because they're under the misapprehension that anything much more than about 200mm makes more than three parts of fuck all difference to accuracy and range (on an AEG at least - bolties are a whole different can of badger turds). I refer you to my reply in the "Why did you start airsoft?" thread regarding the physics aspect. -
By the way - are we talking Howard Leight here?

Pre-lockdown my wife managed the bar at a nightclub that was right next door to a McD's drive through. She used to go there regularly for food when she was working so to make up for it I just started making burgers at home instead. SO much better! Also - if you like the sauce in a Big Mac but have realised that the burger is almost always dry and uninspiring, try making your own with this: https://angusandoink.com/products/macdaddy-burger-sauce-seasoning mix it with some mayo and Bob's yer mothers live-in lover!

Ha ha! Yeah. I quite literally feel your pain!

I just went downstairs and got myself a coffee, does that count?

Had a closer look at this, the bit of the barrel at the front (forward of the sight post) is shorter, but the gas tube is still full length. The G3KA4 has the whole forend shortened such that the charging handle rests just behind the front sight post. You can replicate this particular model by swapping the front outer barrel for an MC51 adaptor and fitting a shorter inner barrel. You can see the difference here: The one at the bottom is the G3KA4 - you can see how much closer the charging handle is to the front.

I highly doubt it, better off sending him a PM anyway, replying to this won't necessarily get his attention if he's not online. -
Unfortunately, you won't. You could start with any of the off the shelf G3A4 models available depending on your budget (JG, LCT, Begadi) but CA don't seem to actually make the G3 anymore. You'll still need to shorten the forend, outer barrel and handguard and change the lower to a Navy style SEF one if you want full on realism. Begadi have the rebranded Classic Army stuff in stock https://www.begadi.com/airsoft-guns/above0-5j/s-aegs/sar-m41-m41-43/schwaben-arms-sar-m41-sportmatch-mf3-es-s-aeg-frei-ab-18-j-ca022m.html

I could see the appeal of this to the Milsim market but not the general skirmish crowd. That said, ATAK already covers a lot of this kind of Blue Force Tracker functionality, so what makes yours different/better?

Try running your sling over your left shoulder and under your right (basically the opposite of what you've got).

This has always been the case. It's always been cheaper but more hassle to order from abroad, we just got used to quite a smooth process built up over a number of years ironing out the kinks. Still...blue passports. Oddly, it might actually be easier to order in from China once the whole pandemic thing is FINALLY under control. Hong Kong already has a reciprocal tax agreement with the UK so in theory at least it should be similar to what we had with the EU. It'll take longer and potentially cost more to ship, but I seem to remember a time when if you didn't buy from the UK you were buying from places like Redwolf, RSOV etc.
